  1. In my 2017 Ram SLT, there is installed a 10.4” Tesla-style Head unit with 1024X768 screen resolution. It looks for all the world like the PhoenixAndroidRadios unit pictured at the beginning of the thread listed above. The top icon row is: Navigation Radio Music Console Bluetooth Video AUX After some time, I accidentally discovered that by swiping this to the left, more icons appeared: Explorer Phone Link Settings App list DVR File manager Camera Within Settings | About, I discovered this: Model number RKPX3 (px3 manufactured by Rockchip) Android version 7.1.1 Nowhere did I see a name of the maker of the Head unit itself. …

The other day I was driving and I smelt a wire heating up and starting to burn so I turned the music down and then my sub stopped working. I assumed my ground was bad but none of my wires are melted, my amp isn't in protect mode, no blown fuses and the sub wasn't blown. I can't seem to locate the location of wires burning and need some suggestions of things to do. I have 1 12" Q @ 1 ohm with 1000 watt Brutus amp powering it all.

I'm installing an amp for my speakers and I'm just wanting to know what I should do for the crossover settings. I have 6.5" Alpine Type S components up front and 6.5" Alpine Type S coaxials in the back. What should I use for the input levels at the front (Full or HPF) and at the back (Full or HPF)? Lastly, what should the frequency be for the front and the back? I'm just going passive btw. Thanks in advance for any help!

I am thinking of getting a new head unit. I really like double din monitor head units. I have seen the pioneer avics and i really like them but i don't know if i want to spend upwards of 500 on a head unit. Does anyone know of any other quality brands for head units that would have something like what im looking for? It also needs to have 2 sets of rca outputs and 1-2 sets of rca inputs including video.

  7. I was thinking about buying an mlx-100. I wanted to use it to take the subwoofer output on my 3sixty.2 and branch that signal into 4 outputs to power 4 of my saz1500s. (I know I could do this with y adapters as well). My question reguards sending the 4 output signals unbridged to the amps. In the video posted below they show you need to connect a and b, c and d but then stop. These are all positive polarity. Would I only be able to send identical outputs to 2 amplifiers this way? What is the deal with this? Please enlighten me. Also would it be a better idea just to get y adapters? I really don't know anything about the mlx-100 except for the fact that you could control …

Hello, i've installed my new(er) system the other day currently i have Optima Yellow top 2 SSA icons 12 2 Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w 2 channel (each sub with their own bridged) 1 Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w 4 channel 2 Kicker DS460 4x6 1 Pioneer DEH-P510UB Will be adding getting 2 Kicker 08KS6930 6x9 1 SoundStorm SX310 crossover if i'm not mistaken the crossover will prevent my mids and highs from "popping" and put a cleaner sound though, right? also is a sound processor needed? i have a decent amount of "road noise" coming though, just enough to bother me. will the processor fix all that? or will the crossover fix it?

There is a JL Audio 500/5 for sale in my local pawn shop for $250. Aesthetically speaking, it's in damn good condition. Has been mounted, but that's really it for scratches and such. I'm not interested in it, nor am I selling it, but figured I'd see if anyone else was interested in having me pick it up for them and them shipping it to them. Doesn't seem like a great price for it, but certainly not a bad one!

  18. Quick question for all of you who are a lot smarter than me! My math told me it wasn't enough but I wanted to double check with you all. If my sound system drives 4100 watts will a 270 amp Max 200 idle alternator be able to support it? Especially accounting a/c etc. If it will that would be awesome, but if not I'll just go with SSA Icons instead of xcons. Ps I know I could probably get multiple alternators but it would be a tight fit, and personally don't have the capability so it would probably cost too much.

  19. Anyone familiar with these amps? I have 3 of them and I am trying to figure out what the switch on the bottom actually does. It has an "H" and "L" which I thought would be high/low pass filter, but it doesn't seem to make an audible difference. Also, Is the Remote and ACC relay on these amps known to go bad?

I'm looking at maybe picking up the N4 which is Massive's new Nano line. Was wondering if anyone has experience with the Nano line. I've had older lines of Massive amps and I think they are fine, but never tried the Nanos. Wondering how hot they get.

  24. So i have 2 Earthquake PH5000/d1 amps running 4 FI SSD 15s. I have found a low popping noise in the speakers from 1 of the amps. When i unplug the RCA cables from it it gets louder. I tried switching the 2 amps and it stays on that one amp. I also have an audiocontrol in dash epicenter that can measure dbs. One night after i built the box i went for a test drive i was hitting 158 on it. the next day and since then i have not been able to hit above 155. Today i was outside messing with it and I unhooked the speaker wires from the amp that is popping and the subs on the other amp got louder. That was while the truck was running and music playing. So i hooked all 4 to the on…

I have two questions... 1st. How do you set the time on this thing. I lost my book for it so Im a little lost. And 2nd. On the HU there is a subwoofer control thing. And the options are, Forward, Reverse, and Normal. What does that do and how would it affect the subs performance?
