How well do these work? I was looking for a way to clean up the wires a little and allow moving the amp in and out a little easier. Was just worried about how well they stay put or if they come loose easily?

KnuKonceptz has a 1/0 CCA amp kit for 60$. Their 4 gauge OFC kit is 52$. I know pure copper is better than clad, but is 1/0 clad better than 4 gauge pure copper?

Im looking to do the Big 3 upgrade on my car but I really dont want to spend alot of money on 1/0 gauge wiring. Does anybody know of a good place to get it from cheap, or is anybody have some lying around they want to get rid of...a couple pieces here and there of like 4-5 feet is fine. let me know. I want to get prepared before my sub comes in on monday the 23rd.

I was checking out weldingsupply.com, and I'm stuck between #1 and 1/0. Their "suggested ampacity" chart recommends #3 for up to 150 amps, #2 for 200a, #1 for 250-300a, and 1/0 for 350a. But going off these numbers, it looks like at most I'd only need #2, as my amp has 5x 30amp fuses (leaving 50 amps of headroom). On the other hand, this site makes it look like I'd need 1/0 for sure. Sundown said use 1/0 for sure, just wondering if anyone else could weigh in on this, since I can't find a reliable table for ampacity and wire size.

Right now I'm running 4g cable from battery to my amp. I'm getting ready to do the big 3 with 1/0 cable, but my amp terminals are only 4/0.. is there some sort of adapter that I can use to be able to run the 1/0 into this amp? I need about 4 of these.. 2 for in line fuse (only 4/0 as well), 1 for 12v on amp, and 1 for ground from amp. I'm getting rid of my cap after this upgrade so no need for adapters on it.

I've always ran 1/0 power and grounds on my systems.. 2 situations I've ran into.. 1. My dad is ALWAYS telling me I should run 4awg wire, thinks 1/0 is way too much. Almost as if its bad to run a wire that size.. my system isn't huge just a sundown1500 another ~600 rms highs amp with a ho alt...is that just an old school way of thinking? 2. I recently bought a bunch of 1/0 CCA knukonceptz wire and I think I'd rather go with some OFC instead. Friend of mine has recently bought a audiopipe 1500 from me and has no wire. Stock everything..I want to sell him all this CCA wire I have to buy what I really want.. my original thinking is it should work fine (after adapting to 4 GA…

Hello everyone, I am working on a design project for school and i need to know the size of the 1/0 gauge wire, the diameter with the insulation on the outside. or if someone knows where i can find this information that would be great. but the easiest way i thought of finding this info was to post it on here knowing that there are many people with 1/0 gauge wire in there car. so if a couple of you could get me the outside diameter of the wire and what brand the wire is that would be very helpfull. The only table i found on the diameter was from the wire itself, i want it with the outter insulation casing. Thank you all very much

Yea i haven't made a post in a while. but came across this today. Well let me say this I went to the audio shop to grab a couple ft of 1//0 and they want 5.60$ per foot. I know its cheaper online, but weldingsupply.com has thier black 1/0 on sale for 2.15 or 1.99 if you buy over 50ft. cant beat the price https://weldingsupply.com/cgi-bin/einstein.pl?Next::1:UNDEF:OR:terms::PA#A2

I just purchased my sundown100.4 for my front stage. I will be running 6.5's in the kicks and two 3 inch full ways in each of my pillars. I will band-pass 3&4 , for example channels 3&4 will have the subsonic filter set at 150 hz, then I will set the Low pass frequency crossover at 4,500Hz for the 6.5's. Channels 1&2 would be set on High Pass and the High Pass Crossover set at 750Hz for my pillars. I will be running tweeters on channels 1&2 also, those will have a high pass crossover set a 5,000hz run in-line. The rest will be active. I was wondering can i use my o scope to set the dials on the 100.4 crossover, as they do…

I was looking for a 1000 watts RMS amplifier at either 2 or 1 ohm... I am gonna put it to a 12" Fi SSD... Also, how much of a difference in sound will there be between 750rms and 1000rms? I was looking at a zx1000.1 but was wondering if there is anything as good for cheaper... I figured if i got it at 1 ohm it would be cheaper for the wattage vs. 2 ohm 1000 watts...

I'm about to purchase an amp for my ssa dcon and was wondering if a 12dB/octave slope would be sufficient on the low pass filter. I heard many people having a 24dB/octave slope and keeping it that way for their subs. My high pass filter is 12dB by the way. Any thoughts??

After reading through a bunch of threads at a truck forum I'm on, someone asked about running a 16v system separately to power their system. I know some of the trailer-queen competitors use unregulated amps and they can crank their voltages up to 16+, but is it possible to do it in a daily-driver? Does anyone make a high-output alternator that would sufficiently charge a 16V battery (like the Kinetic KHC16V), and still be OK for daily use? Would the Kinetic last if being used daily? OR, would it be more beneficial to use a bunch of 12V batteries, dual or triple alts, and stay with regulated amps?

I have an 02 Ford F250 5.4l XLT CrewCab truck. I 'm running: (1) 12" 09 BL with a Diamond Audio 1000.1 (4) Polk db6500 components with a 1000.4 Yellow Top 250A Rhino Alternator Ever since I installed the BL I've been dimming. I probably have to install a seperate battery but I dont understand why I'm dimming when I got a new 250A Alt? I though the amp makes the power?

What reasonably priced options are there for something that will run all day at .67 ohms? Been thinking about a couple of SAZ1500's.... and yes, a 200+amp alt and second battery are planned.
