Hey guys, just looking for an ok temporary (probably 6-9 months) to run a single Crystal cmpx2 15. That's going to be 1600 rms dual 2 ohm coils. My budget is around $150 I'm currently looking into grabbing one of the cheap Shark 2500's. Let me know if there are any other options you would recommend. recommendations needed for an amp the plan currently is to run incriminator audio comps up front and a dcon 15 dual 4 in a ported box in the back now Id prefer to only have to run one amp and to slightly over power the dcon so what 4 channel amps do you think would be worth it to bridge the rear channels or are there any great 3 channels or even 5 channels since I could hook the rear channel on a 5 channel to my drop down tailgate speakers Thanks guys

I bought a KICKER 11VS12L72 ("that box has a dual 4 woofer wired down to a 2 ohm load. So you want an amp that is 2 Ohm stable") And I'm trying to find recommendations from the experts for an amp. I am leaning towards the SoundStream DTR1.1700D that is on a sale for $188 online. Might buy it tonight if I don't find anything better.

Looking for budget amplifier to power a 12" SSA DCON subwoofer SVC or DVC 4-ohm (1.2 cu ft sealed to spec). I would like a class d amplifier rated at about ~300w rms clean (give or take, this is a low power budget system). Any ideas?

I have a 1.5 farad capacitor a friend gave me and I'd like to put it to some good use. I have a small mtx amp powering a pair of JL coaxial 5.25" speakers and a punch800.2 bridged for my RE HC 12". I understand some people are against using caps but I have one so I might as well use it. And generally they are used for the amp powering the sub however, in my case I highly doubt it would do anything noticable. So here's my question: What would happen if I hooked up the cap to the MTX amp that is powering the front speakers? Would that give the MTX amp a little extra boost? I believe it's a mtx roadthunder and it's pushing maybe 50rms total.

Amps that have a clip light ie sundown is that light accurate? What's safe a small flash a little fast fashing solid red? Gain was check with a oscope and a dd1 in the past.. Still clip light comes on

I inquired about purchasing this massive 1500watt amp from a buddy of mines for a few bucks and he said it cuts on fine it just stays in protection should I purchase it and get it repaired. He is selling the amp for 25 bucks. worth repair yay or nay?

I have an older 4 channel class AB amplifier that was made by Dragster Audio Art. Amplifier goes straight into protect. I asked Chris at dB-r a couple years ago and he said more than likely it was bad output fets. Chris does not work on older amplifiers like this anymore. I am looking for some feedback on Ampmedics more than anything as we know what kinda quality Mr. Mantz is known for. Here is a couple board shots of the amplifer. It is actually a great amplifier and was solidly built in the EU (European Union).

So I finally got around to openning up the Lightning Audio S1.1000D I had running a couple of AA Assissins and two (that I noticed) of the transisters labeled IRF6215 have gone to amp heaven... I don't see any other problems, is it worth trying to replace the fried parts or will I run into more problems as I progress?

got a kenwood kac 9013d amp here that went into protection one day in my brother's car. it was temporarily mounted to the sub box at the time and powering a kicker l7 15 (which is now dead due to cracked magnet and shifted motor)in a ~4 cube ported box. so what happens is every time it is powered on it will go into protection. i looked the board over and i dont see anything burnt. however i did find a capacitor with one of it's leads broken off. here is what info i can get from the capacitor: 50v 47uF (microfarad), appears to under a brand ELNA, CE85(degree symbol)C which i assume means ceramic and 85C is max temp rating, right under that last line it reads 0718 which …

Ok I'm not that good at this but have a newer amp with 6 chips on the PS sink. Seems to be two transformers and 3 fets each, the output is on other side of chassis. Well the 3rd and 6th one are shorted pos to neg and blew the +12v trace. If shorted then they must be bad, the rest are near same ohms and not on/shorted at rest and all same # chips. Anyway, can I just replace them....what would cause this to happen? Would something else be shot too? They are $15 each so far I've found. I have a PPI pc1800.2 that burned out. I haven't opened it yet to see what fried but it's definitely dead. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place down in Glendale or LA or even OC that knows where I can get it repaired? It's a sexy amp and I'm not willing to let it go.

So I have been given two fairly new amplifiers that have been treated poorly. My brother asked me awhile back to install stereo equipment in his car. So I did. I set the gains with a DMM and everything was fine. Well my brother decided that he wasnt get the output he wanted...I'm guessing. And turn the gains WAYYYYY up. OK... So here is my dilemma. Ive got 2 - 15inch SX series RE audio subs in my room at the moment. Im in need of an amp capable of producing ATLEAST 2000 rms (true power not rated) and made the sad mistake of purchasing the power acrapstik 5500D rated at a rediculous 3200RMS but im not even able to pull 1KW off it by the sounds of it. I need help deciding on an amp for my two SDC 2.5 Dual 4. Looking in price range of $400 or less. Looking for 1200 to 1500 watt at 1 ohm. Any other suggestions are welcome that fit what i am looking for.

I have a Hifonics Brutus 1200 watt mono and a 15" FI BL sub. Any advise on how to get the loudest but still the best quality out of it? it's Level 9v - 0.2v , Phase 0 - 180 , Bass EQ (keeping it down) , Sub Sonic 15 - 35 Hz , Low Pass 35 - 250 Hz.

alright, so how would you set up an amplifier to your H/U? thats my main question. if i post a picture of the amp i want, could you tell me what every thing means? i know what low pass is but everything else is confusing, and there is no gain on this amp, at least it isn't called "gain" AMP click that and go to the pictures.
