I just got my sundown 1200D and tomorrow my icon D2 from johnecon should be here. Any suggestions for subsonic and crossover settings?

I'm going to hook up the rubicon 702 to an FI SSD12 with copper coils in a sealed enclosure 1.6 cubic feet. This amp has 700RMS watts. Now what should I set the low pass crossover frequency to? Should I set the subsonic filter? If so to what frequency and should I also set the boost?

what is the best way to set ur amps using lpf, hpf and your subsonic filer. what is the purpose of lpf and hpf. the box that i am using is sealed. the subs that i am running are kicker cvx's (1000 watt rms) and i am using hifoinics amps (2000 watt rms, i know they really rnt) and i run my subs at 1 ohm.

amp : sundown sae 1200d v2 vehicle : 95 gmc gimmy small one like blazer problem : set the gain by ear, right at half way, and when i have my 15s turned way up, maybe 30 secs amp will shut off but come back on maybe 5 secs, it only does it turned way up after 30 secs continuously slammin and volt may go down around 8 or so and jimmy went dead some of those times. so what can it be????? need extra batt in back or what makes it shut off?? when i fix the problem ill post a vid under video section, loudest cvr 15s ive EVER heard for just 2 lol

what is going on here? i had a ZX1500.1 for 5 and a half years with zero issues on stock electric between 3 different vehicles. My ZX2500.1 died earlier this year after only about 4 months of use, i sent it off to kicker for repair and got it back, not long after i lost my sub and had to buy a new one. this amp as is has been used less than a month and a half. i was bumping at close to max volume day before yesterday, i arrive at my destination with time to spare so i sit in the truck with the engine off for about 45 min doing paper work with the stereo on at 1/4 volume. i had to run into the store so i shut off the truck accessories and go in, i come back out and turn …

A few days back I got in my car to head to a friends house. Started the car and as my head unit turned on I heard a sort of pop/thud noise coming from my trunk. It wasn't too loud, but I then noticed my sub wasn't playing. Looked back there and the amp wasn't on. It had worked fine the day before. I checked fuses, grounds, and the remote wire to make sure it was fine. Amp still wouldn't turn on. I opened up the amp and I didn't see any burn marks or any apparent damage, but I took some photos to see if any of you guys happened to know anything... Its a 2000 watt volfenhag amp. not sure of the exact model. i had it wired at 1 ohm, and from what i have read online the lowest it should be wired is 2 ohm. It started cutting off after 10 mins, then 5, then 2, then it stopped working. I took the cover off, to look for burnt pieces, but i found nothing. it all looked fine. now, what could cause this? can it be fixed cheaply? if not, could i repair a memphis pr 600 using this amps parts? im uploading pics now and yes, i know this is a POS amp, but currently im saving up to buy a fi btl then a sundown amp. ok, photobucket is being gay so ill get pics tomorrow.

I currently have a v1 sundown amp. If I wanted to strap a second amp do I need to strap only with a V1 amp or would it be ok to strap with a V2 model?

What type of amp should i get to run two skar audio vvx 12" dual 2ohm vc. I'm thinking two Hifonics hf 2000d's one on each sub. My limit it $500 for a good quality amp that does either 3000+ watts at 1ohm or .5ohm. I want .5ohms stable

So, I have come down to 3 sets of comps to do my final choice from. And up til the time I do my final choice, I would like to have some suggestions what to look for in amps, that would do these three 2-way kits justice. They are: DLS Iridium 6.2i Hertz MLK165 Morel Elate 6 I'm planning, at least finally to give the woofers a minimum of 200-250 clean watts to play with, so I've been contemplating running a 4-channel bridged for the woofers, and a separate 2-channel amp for the tweeters. For now, what I'm looking for is sweet matches between front system and amps, nothing more. Budget, is not fixed, but as little as possible and still be a nice match for the comps.

Hello SSA! I am selling my Type-R to a friend soon, and getting a Soundstream T5-10 from another friend. I just sold the amp I was using on the R so I could buy a new amp for it, but now this opportunity has presented itself. I am looking for an amp that can do 800-1000 watts at 1 ohm, for around $200. I've been looking around, but all the ones i've found have been Maxxsonics products, which never really do their rated power. Any suggestions from you guys would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

how do i calculate power from my amp. if i have my sub wired at 1 ohm and i play a test tone say 60hz and measure the voltage how do i calculate that into watts. i know you multiply volts by current to get watts but how do you know the current at diffrent loads. not sure if im missing something i just always see people say i measured this many volts at this load so it is putting out this many watts and i never see a current measurement. is there a standard current output per load or something. just want to learn a little more thanks

Im getting a 12" FI Q with the cooling package. It will be put into a 2.5 cu ft. box tuned to 31-33hz (cant deside yet). But I really want to know a good amp to power it with that will not kill my wallet or my electrical in my car. Iv got stock alt and bat with a big 3 upgrade and a 5 farad cap. Also I DO NOT plan on running at 1 ohm b/c i want good SQ. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Ok so I am really good at buying stuff and then finding out it isn't as great as I expected.. and then have to sell and re-buy something better... SO Please help me get the right amp the first time! The SA-10s are rated at 600rms each, Im sticking 4 in my hatchback and want to get a good amp to meet them. They are d2 and will wire down to 1ohm! I have seen people stick a SAZ-2000 or AQ 2200 on 2 SA-10s... But I want to know if they can seriously handle that much? I mean 600x4=2,400w but if they can HONESTLY handle more I will try to find a way to get a more powerful amp.. Still looking for a 4 channel amp to run an active setup in my friends car. Planning on running SEAS 27TFFNC Tweet and CA18RNX. I saw these amps and thought I should get some opinions from you guys. Here they are. Soundstream TRA960.4 MB Q RAB 450 PP A600/4 All of these amps are around $250 -325 and is the budget for amps as of now. Are there any other choices that would be better in this price range?

I have a punch 2002, what speakers would work best for that amp. Prefer 12's. I already had a pair of wimpy C4's that crapped out in 2 months, and want something different, but affordable.

Basically i can tarde my Crunch GP3000D PLUS $400 cash for a Stetsom 7KD in almost perfect condition. Only problem is a slightly bend mounting tab. Right now I have a DVC 2 ohm 12" BTL to the GP3000D and want a nice, clean efficient amp. Next summer I plan to do a wall in my accord with 2 1ohm 18" BTLs to maybe this 7kd if the trade goes well. So for the time being, I will run the BTL off of the 7kd at 4ohms and still be running around 2500 rms. What do you all think about this trade one my end?

Is trading a memphis mclass 1100x1 for a massive n4 2000rms plus $150 a good deal?
