Ok, I finally got around to building my box for my 12" BTL and I got it all installed and when I went to set the gain on my Orion 2500d. I was only reading around 5.0 volts on my Multimeter I had it set to 200 AC. I was supposed to set it to 50 but, I'm getting no where near that, with the gain set full it only goes up to around 33 volts. Any Ideas as to what it could be, I opened up the bottom didn't see anything burned or fired, so I have no idea.

Only thing i can think of is shaving them down.. Then i saw another thread were it was lots of + runs and only 1 - run , which seems pointless if the power has to flow in and out.

I've got a line on the Massive amps, and wondering if any of you guys have ever used/reviewed them. They've got the DB300B, which is supposedly stable at 1 ohm, and does 950RMS @ 2 ohm - my cost is much lower than the MSRP, wondering how it would compare to a Sundown or similar. http://www.massiveaudio.com/store/db-3000b...1-pr-16220.html

Gents, I'm thinking of selling my Crescendo BC2Ks and going to a Stetsom 6K5ES 2ohm version. I like that it will do gobs of power (7200 watts) on 13.8 volts. I usually do about 14.3/5 on my HO alt. I have dual runs of power/ground ran, 3 XS power D3400 batts, and the big 3 done. I think my electrical is close or near up to par to support it. My questions mainly regard reliability. If I get the 6K would I be safe running it full tilt? I read these things don't like voltage over 14.9/15 volts so I'd like to think I'm relatively ok there. Just looking for any input/suggestions. Hey, I was just wondering if there's any rule of thumb or some sort of math to see how many batteries you need. For example: If u have a 150A alt and a 170A draw. Will you be fine with just one batt or do you need another. This is just a theoretical scenario

Amp is from 2001-02. There was a mod for it put out more power. I can't find it anywhere. Thanks

amplifiers like the ZR240? Mine has one for bass, but i'd like to find some others that I might possibly have a use for. Can you run the ZR240 without anything plugged into that port? Thanks in advance, Ed

I always have in the past but I'm starting to upgrade to more and more powerful systems. The price difference between a run of 1/0 from ebay, to knu conceptz, to using welding wire is a huge. Anyone know if the ebay stuff has the same copper content and adequate insulation?

I let it sit for a bit and I guess from what I read online that if it gets a little dust on or in it. The cd player doesn't eject cds. There is a disk in there that plays fine. It can't eject it though. How would I fix this?

I know this mught sound like a retarded question. Im not really an audio noobie but i havent had a newer head unit. My problem is simple. i cant find the bass treble controll. having said that, i have looked and my manual innt much help. My manual says tap the audio button repeatedly untill you get to the desired function IE...SUB LEVEL, BASS, TREBLE, FADE, BALANCE then back to volume. when i push the audio button i get... SUB LEVEL, BALANCE, FADE. not bass ot treble. i figured i had a setting "clicked" that would cause these features not to be present or adjustable. metal sleeve will probably work from lots of pioneers but im not sure, and have no idea about cross compatability with the trim ring, but its probably the same throughout the line. just opened the box with my deck inside it and it didnt have these items. and before I bid I asked this motherpucker if they were included, and he replied and said yes they were. BUT obviously they werent. Hey guys, I came across a USA 442 and picked it up for a real nice price. Before I did, I wrote to US Amps and asked for some background on the amp. Someone named Jeff Coleman replied and gave me some info on the amp..... some power specs, production run, etc. But, he commented that the 442 had an interesting and complicated crossover and that if I couldn't get an original owner's manual that I should run an outboard crossover with the amp. Anybody got any comments? Advice? Experience with the amp? Thanks in advance.

I was looking at Powerbastard's alternators, and they don't have a direct fit for my 1991 Acura Integra....but.... they link me directly to the Fitzall 220+ Alt.... basically it's a universal HO alternator for imports..... I was looking at it, and the bottom foot doesn't look as deep as my stock unit (just looks like I need to get a shorter forged bolt from a hardware store), but other than that looks like it would mount up fine.... they say it's 110A @ idle and full 220A @ 1,200RPM's.... 220A is great, considering a 91 Integra alternator, stock, is 30A ,lol.... well my friend bought subs, an amp, and a box from bestbuy. so i told him to let me install it but he said his neighboor has alot of experience (which wasnt true). so any way the guy hooked it all up. he did a nice job on the electrical wiring but when wiring subs to the amp he ran the wires in series which presented an 8ohm load and the amp isnt made for 8 ohms. he was supposed to run them in parallel. im not sure y it worked but it did. then my friend said the amp kept shutin off after a few minutes of play, but then would turn back on in about 7 seconds. but my friend kept on bumpin for like an hour. then i went over there today and rewired the subs in parellel and we …
