Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical

Anybody have any suggestions, pros or cons about this? I have a nice JVC (forget the model#) that has a bad a@@ equalizer and five volt preouts, and basicly everything I want in a headunit. I've done a lot of research on here and in general about line drivers, some people swear by them and some say they are a waste of money. Anyways I came across an Audio Control video that explained the said line driver and they were saying that like power wire rca's tend to lose a little power with longer runs and could possibly pick up noise and such. Does it matter that much about the audio cables I think they run from the amp to the head unit. At sound advice they have 25$ and they have 100$ ones is there that much of a difference I wouldn't want them to have to re run them.

I know a guy that has one of these amps that I can get for about 100 bones. I am more than sure its worth it. I just wondered if anyone here ran it and how good of an amp they are?

anybody own this amp? what do you think about it? i was told it will not do what it says, has anybody put an o scope on one ? im going to put it on one fully loaded fi btl 15, if it has enough power i would like to put two on it any suggestions?

hey so i was digging through my basement the other day and i came across the amp i used for the sub in my very first car it was an audiobahn A2300E i had forgotten all about this thing, i tested it yesterday with my recently retired infinity reference 12 and it sounded pretty good i can't find any information on it anywhere, the only thing i have found is someone saying that "they believe it is 210 rms bridged at 4 ohms" this seems pretty possible since it only has 1 30 amp fuse i would of course be running 4 ohms per channel on 100w rms speakers, so this seems perfect for me, i know audiobahn isn't great, but i already own it so i might as well make use of it. what ar…

My friend has a audiobaun htc1300 amp. He will sell me for 20 bucks. Only thing the inputs are ripped out. So I was going to get it refurbished. Good idea bad?

i was wondering whats the correct way to connect a audiocontrol dqxs & audiocontrol epicenter since i was told to put my epicenter before the dqxs and not after dqxs can some correct this for me please

i'm running one mtx 8100d to one fi bl 18. i have a second 8100d and was thinking about using a maxxlink to strap them but not sure if it will kill the sub. my second thought was to sell both amps and get a saz-1500. the more i read about them the more i'm leaning towards going with sundown. so anyway is the epic-160 worth getting?

at what frequency is the subsonic filter for the audiocontrol epicenter i know that the soundstream and others have it at 35hz, but i dont know the audiocontrol subsonic filter i want to buy one, but my box is tuned to 32hz

is anyone on here using them? I was looking through their website and found a diagram that shows pretty much exactly what I will be running so I figured I would just copy what they suggest. here's a picture of the diagram can someone fill me in on the pros/cons to running something like that? One of the big things that changed while I was gone from car audio is the 4volt plus rca outputs from head units. My situation is I really want to use an Alpine 7904s or 7903s as my source. These units do not have high voltage line outs but can an Audiocontrol Three.1 fix that for me or is there a better way? Unfortunately, the sundown 3000w install was whack because the head unit's preouts were going crazy so the amp couldnt be turned up high enough for an accurate comparison. I will post spec of the amp anyway but shouldnt be compared 100% accurately because the volume level wasn't the same as the other 2. I was thinking about getting the audiopipe 3k, but a little confused on wiring my two D4 subs on the amp. Before you comment don't tell me to not get it because its a POS (I'm not asking wether I should get it or not). I am on a budget.. The amp does around 3k @ 2ohms. If you aren't familiar with the amp it has 2 channels, its basically two 1500s strapped. Can I wire my 2 D4 subs on this amp to get a 2ohm final load on the amp to receive 3k? This amp has got me so confused haha, thanks for the help.

im looking on getting an audiopipe amp because money is tight for me right now. but i want to know what the difference is between the ap and aqx series. both do rated?

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the newer version audiopipe amps. I've used the ap1500's before and they performed well. Usually recommend them for friends. I can't seem to find them anymore. All I see is 'APCL' and 'APSM' series. Looking for a decent ~1000-1500@1 ohm amp for my cousin on a budget.
