  1. Ummm. I redid my big three. I was making a tutorial for YouTube.I added, didn't replace the original wires. In 1/0 i did alt positive to battery positive, battery negative to chassis, battery negative to engine block, engine block to chassis i guess its more of a big four. And battery is kinetik 800. And for a couple of days it was alright. But then I noticed it was having problems turning on, it would crank an extra 2 times or so. Now it doesn't start without me getting a battery charger. Voltage says 10.7 but once I charge it goes as high as 15.8 ? And then it starts up fine. I did some research, I'm still researching... Some forums in hondas, people say its the eld (…

So I plan on getting a battery for in the back soon and I was curious as to if it will hurt my battery in the front by getting an AGM for in the back. Also do I have to go with something that is in the range of power my amps are taking or can I go with something along the lines of a XS Power D545? Roughly with both amps I'll be in the range of over 1800-2200watts rated.

  6. So here's a quick overview of my setup as it sits: amplifier - older Lanzar Vibe 420 (http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=2393) Front components - Polk db6501 (Brand New, http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9109_Polk-Audio-db6501.html?SearchClickout[query_id]=10352811&SearchClickout[ignore]=1) rear subwoofer (bridged on amp channels 3/4) - older Kenwood 10", 150 wRMS, single 4 ohm, in a 1.36 cu ft ported box remote turn-on module - (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18693_PAC-TR-4.html?SearchClickout[query_id]=10352736&SearchClickout[ignore]=1) So for some reason, even with the turn on module providing a 2 second delay, I still get a lot of "thump." …

I am torn here an what amp(s) to power my 2 SP4 18's. I am looking to run RMS to them for a strong daily setup. If I ever do compete would be strictly for fun once. My thoughts are either.... DD M4a @ 1ohm........used 2 DD M3a's @ .5 ohm each........used Crescendo BC5500 @ 1ohm..........new DC 5.0k @ 1ohm...........used Sundown 4500 ( a little expensive IMO).........used 2 Sundown 2500's @ .5 ohm each........used Electrical should support whichever setup....Mechman 270, 2 Redtops under the hood and 2 XS d3400's in the rear with multiple runs of 1/0 gauge to rear. Front stage will get a Crescendo PDX 6.5, 8in and FT1 in each door ran of a Alpine PDX 4.150. I am leaning hea…

Alright.. So my Iphone has decided to stop working with my head unit. When i plug it in, it will either automatically go to error-01 (communication error). BUT, it also does something else I find very strange. It will sometimes play the very first song on my ipod. Doesnt matter whether I go to playlists, or certain artists, it will always switch to all songs and play the first song according to alphabetical order. (My headunit doesnt let me control songs through my ipod, i always need to switch using the head unit which is normal.) Ontop of this, if it starts playing the first song, i cant skip it, fast forward or even pause. This all causes it to go into an error-01…

I bought a crescendo bc2000 originally for my pair of sa12s. I also bought one of those big ass 2 ch crescendo c1600.2's.. I want to use the big one and do far I got a pair of components lmao. Seems a little extreme for them.. What if I run the c1600 to the subs? Since its class AB will it have any audible difference vs the class D bc2000? Might be a stupid question but I've only ran class D Amps on subs.

My friend asked me to find him a cheaper 4ch amp. Budget is as close to $100 as possible, little over is ok. It needs a full range output on it because his deck is single RCA. I see a mob quart in the classifieds here but not sure how to follow up on that. No contact info. Is there anything new that can be had for this price? Just running a set of aura components and a set of Polk coaxials.

So this is what I am thinking. For my 2 zcon's I need more. They want more. Currently have a 2500d but was thinking of going with a 4500d. Or maybe even 2 2500d's strapped. Only problem is, zcon's are 1 ohm. Every where I look, for strapping u want 2 ohm. Which way should I go?

I just bought an Pioneer AVH-P8400BH and needed advice on which cable to get for iPod/iPhone functionality. The Pioneer website has conflicting information. It says that for App Mode, you need the CD-IU201S but regarding USB iPod/iPhone Direct Control, it says to use the USB interface cable CD-IU201S or CD-IU201V. The "V" states its for iPod/iPhone and the "S" says its for iPod/iPhone 4th generation. More details are below about the two cables. I do have an iPhone 4S and an old iPod. 18. I'd like some opinions on where I should have my voltage metered from. Currently it's hooked up to the battery so I know how much voltage is at my battery, but should I have it wired straight to the alternator or the amp? I'm stuck between battery and amp. I'd like to know voltage to my amp but I'd also like to know voltage to my battery. I guess I can buy another one. But what would you guys do? How do you have your volt meters set up? And do you guys have your power wire for your volt meter fused?

  20. Just purchased the sealed enclosure for 2) 12" SSA GCONs - Net will be 1.3.1-45 FT^3 per. I've been doing some research but have seen a very wide variety of recommendations for setting the amp's subsonic filter for sealed enclosures. Some say to set it @ or just below the Fs of the speaker (31.5hz for the GCON) Some say that you don't need to run the subsonic filter at all because the air-suspension inside of the sealed enclosure acts as a shock absorber/accumulator and will provide ample protection from over-excursion. Not sure which is the best bet for my situation. Naturally, I want to protect my drivers without inhibiting performance. What should I be doing here?…

So tonite I set my gain and ssf according to the thread on here. Only questions are, when getting rms for 2 zcon's, do I add both together, or just what amp says. Amp is a saz2500d. 1 ohm says 2500 rms. square root is 50. Set amp output to 50 vac. Then took 50*.707=35.35. Turned ssf up till voltage dropped to 35vac. Questions are, is that correct? Or do I then readjust gain back up to 50?

I am in the market for a new alarm with remote start, this will be going in my mustang. I'm going to have it professionally installed by a friends shop. Currently What I am looking for is an alarm with remote start, two way pager, a decent range 1000-1500ft, 2-Way remote with tone and vibe modes. I am looking into the Avital 5303, but I would prefer a remtoe that actually includes all the buttons into one but is not exactly required. I am looking for some suggestion and reviews. Price I would like to hit would be around 200-300 for the alarm its self. Thanks.
