Ok I have a mechamn 220a alt... Gonna use 6 xs d3100s... Was planning on running 2 4/0 runs for alts positives and 2 4/0 runs for the alts negative....well after looking at it I dont know if it will work... I don't have much room on the alts posts... Or much room in the firewall...Would it hurt me just to do 1 run each of 4/0 for the alts neg and pos?

Hi fellas I have a question that will I'm sure be easy for you to answer. I have never ran bigger than 4 gauge wire, never upgraded the big 3, and never dealt with any of these following products. My question is what size ends should I get, they offer from 1/4 - 5/16 for the 2/0 gauge wire. I plan to use them on the 2/0 gauge upgrading the big 3, I plan to use them on my battery terminals, and I plan to use them…

Anyone familiar with DBelectrical when it comes to alternators? I've never heard of them and was curious as to their quality. I was looking at this alt http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-9580-alternator-high-output-250-amp-38l-lumina-98-99-monte-carlo-99.aspx , then saw the price and got worried. Please any input would greatly help.

Also will a 0 gauge distribution block work with that 2/0 gauge wire, I have not been able to find a bigger block? I will be running 250amp fuses throughout the setup. One from alt to battery, one 12" from battery to distribution block? I only want the cap to be used on the sub amp and both outputs on the block are 250amp fused, do I need to run anymore fuses in the setup?

I will be running two batteries for the first time and have some questions. I have an energizer battery under the hood, and a yellow top for the truck. My question is will these two be ok ran together? I thought someone told me the batteries must be the same, but I could be mistaken. Thank you for the input.

Does this amp work at 4 ohms?... There is no rating i could find for it at 4 ohms and id need it at that if i get it untill igot a new sub. At 2 ohms it puts out 1100 rms so at 4 would it be like 550?

i plan on upgrading the battery under the hood with an agm but am worried about the arizona heat "killing" it. does anyone live in hot weather that has an agm bat in their car, and if it lasts as long as people say?

has any 1 ever used Lanzar's optidrive series amplifers? if so, what are the some helpful reviews on it. is it a good amp with low THD does this amp put out what its ratted? can you let me know if it is a overall good amp for subs will this thing get low and still stay warm?

Ok this is the 2nd time in about 6 months this has happens. First time I just wrote it off and replaced what was needed.. Now I'm wondering why.. I noticed my voltage acting funny as if my alt wasn't charging. Pop the hood and I've melted the wire that I have put between alt and battery. Like I said...2nd time same spot. I have a pos db alternator 220a ho alt. I used knu cca 1/0 for a pretty short run between alt and bat positive. Fused with a 250a fuse. Battery is a kinetik hc2000. 1st time 2nd time Both times the fuse did not blow. The fuse holder isn't next to anything hot enough to do that kind of damage. Now I only drive this vehicle maybe three times a month so …

so what would be the best way to run rca for 6 amps? HU has 3 rca outputs front rear sub, and if i understand corectly i can only do 1 amp in master and 1 in slave, so this would b ring me down to 3 for my sub amps what would be the next route?

Hello, im thinking of getting some new amps for my system, I am really interested in these Crescendo amps, for the price dont seem too bad. I was wondering how the sound quality is on these? My subwoofers are FI q 15, two of them in a sealed box. My mid range speakers are diamond audio hex 6 inch tweeters are Dayton audio R528F-4, 4 ohm silk Alpine cda-117 and pxa-h100, going 2 way active front stage my amps i have right now are 2 ppi pc2600.2 for the front stage and a crunch gp3000.1 pro amp for the subwoofers, i have had the ppi amps for 12 years, realy like them, very clean sounding amps, i was wondering if the crescendo C1100.4 would sound just as good as the ppi? i h…

Hey all I need to re wire my car and move my batts back and get them off my back seat so I can compete.So i was wondering instead of having to take all my wire that I ran out,Could I just use a distribution block as a means of extending my wire?Here is a pic of what I have currently and what Im talking about doing. I have a kenwood unit now that I like because of the iPhone interface and the front panel USB. Problem is that it only has 2.5 volt pre-outs. Dont really care of brand as long as it is name brand and reliable. Cd's are a no go as the vibration from the bass just ejects them now. So I'm looking for something that has USB and preferably iPhone compatible and has 4 volt pre outs. Open to all options and wanna stay around $250-$350ish range. Any help appreciated

have an ms8 going to this amps with epcc engine whine....swapped different outputs form the ms=8 and realized the ground noise is only present int he front rca's of the vlx-4150 no matter the source of output from the ms-8 if i plug in the rears only no engine noise...could this be a defective amp?

I am planning to upgrade my power wire to 1 awg sgx or sxg... Idk which it is... But i cant find anywhere to get the bushing through the firewall. And i dont think this size wire will fit under the trim pannel on the floor along the doors... How should i run this size wire? I have a 2006 tundra access cab. There is a center console in the middle that i may be able to use to help hide it. It is going just directly behind the drivers seat. I already have a hole in the firewall for the 8awg all the way to the left side so it is pretty straight from batt to the rear any help is better than nothig.Thanks

I am planning on buying the hifonics brutus brz1700.1d for around 200 bucks. I will be only using it at 4 ohms for the time being untill i recone my subwoofer to single 2 ohm then ill run it at around 900rms. And if i ever end up going to a comp ill turn it up more. But what other amps should i be considering in that price range and power range? Btw i have stock alt in a 06 tundra and stock battery 4 awg wires... Will this be enough to power this amp? I can probably get 1/0 or 2 awg if i need to but as you can tell im not rolling in money.. Any comments, criticism, jokes... Its all welcome

Hello everyone. There have been numerous times where my voltage drops to 11.7. I usually have a constant 12.8, or 12.9 (never 13 ) On idle with music a little bit up (volume knob at around 20 out of 30) and/or other electronics in car I'm around 12.5 but when I'm at idle and my music is up it can get to 11.7-11.8 I have a 96 civic. Stock alt is 70amps. I have a kinetik 800 under hood and big three done with 1/0 kicker wires. Those are currently the only electrical upgrades I have. I have a temporary system in while I'm saving up for some good stuff. Just a 12" Sony xplod on a 250w monoblock xplod amp. My voltage drops from this? Gain is 1/4 up I'm not een stressin th…
