I recently bought a warden 21 and its a d1 so I would have to wire my crescendo bc2k to 2 ohms or .5 ohm. Itd be ridiculous to put 1100 rms to a warden haha but also I don't wanna run my amp at .5. So what I was thinkin is buying 2 amps and strapping them at 2 ohms. Should I buy another bc2k or sell mine and buy 2 used sundown saz1500s? Do you think theres a big difference between the two? My electric consist of big 3, deka 9a31 as second batt with all 0 gauge. I know I don't have the electrical for it full tilt but its a safer option so I would be running at at least 2500 rms I'm also in the process of getting a HO alt, possibly from singer. Please explain why you would …

so is a second stock alt going to be as good as an ho alt?? the town i live in has an auto program at college that i can get a alt from a junk yard for $$22.00 and they well clean up and run through it for me, (im waiting on a call back from them to se if they can recoil it as well) and they have a fabricating shop that for the price of materials well make a mounting bracket also i know that there are alot of car audio specific companys that make batteries, but would 1 everlast maxx 1N under hood(replace stock) and 4 in back(total 5) be just as good as 3 audio batteries? i can get the ELmaxx1N's for 89.99 apeice so like 450.00 for 5 batts?? just woundering

I'm looking to make some buss bars out of aluminum. The buss bars will span two D3100's ~13" for each positive and ground, I was wondering what size and type of aluminum I should go with. I'm not sure how thick or wide of buss bars should I get? I was considering 1 Inch thick by 2 inches.

  7. I'm at my wits end trying to figure this problem. I don't know it's my amp, battery, or alternator. I have one Kicker sub amp and one Alpine 4 channel amp. The problem lies with the 4 channel amp, it keeps turning on and off. It only happens randomly. I have checked all connections and they are tight. I checked all fuses and they are good. I also have relocated the ground for the 4 channel amp but the problem still continues. The gains are not maxed at all on both amps. I have checked the voltages multiple times and there are the results : All measurements are at car idle. Both amps on : 13.79 volts - 13.81 volts Both amps on and AC running : 13.79 volts Both amps on, AC…

I'l try to keep this short. Last week my p99rs remote stopped working and I thought "the batttery went quick". I bought a replacement battery, should have check the original first, but it still doesn't work. I popped it apart expecting to find nothing wrong, but instead I find a coil of wire wrapped around a spool and the spool is broken form the base with a broken wire as well. I went to the local radioshack, looking for help. The guy tthere said it looks like a choke, but wasn't sure. In a responce from pioneer the remote is $84.95 + tax + shipping. I about shit myself, gouge me some more already. These a the best close ups I'm able to get with this camera, sorry I can'…

So I was removing one of my RCA cables from my SAX-1200D and the input pulled out of the amp. It was still connected to the wire but it would not screw back in to the amp. While attempting to screw the input back in to the amp the solder joint broke off the input and now I am stuck without an input. Basically I'm wondering if it's okay to run the RCA's from the bridged input and output if the amp is not bridged. I have tried running it from the bridged inputs and it works fine, but I don't know if it's healthy for my equipment. Any help is appreciated.

It's been a while since I have posted on here...busy busy busy. Anyways, I'm not a new kid on the block when it comes to car audio...I was an installer for over 6 years and play with it as much as I can now. I am requesting some insight from somebody with good experience in chasing down engine noise, because I'm at whits end!! Setup: 2004 Audi S4 Factory deck, using the common ground preout on it (hard wired into rca's) Alpine PXE-H650 processor 3 Sony XM2252HX amps (1 front, 1 rear, 1 sub) Image Dynamics CX62 components front/rear 2 Polk DB12 (circa 1999, running free air in rear deck) SO, I think I have isolated it down to a bad capacitor in the power supply on the fact…

Im getting ready to install my new system soon but I ran into a couple problems/questions. I am going to be running a Fi Q 12d2 parallel to a Sundown SAX-1200D. Im going to be adding this to my stock setup in my car. I have a 2010 Audi A4 without the B&O system (it has the basic system). Im going to have a ported box in the trunk. My main question is... What is the optimal way for routing the Sundown's RCA's back to the head unit without problems? I've seen people in previous installs on the Audi forums that simply disconnect the stock sub, then splice the wires, and add a converter to female RCA. They plug the new(sub) amp's RCA's to that which routes it back to the …

  17. Just sold my kicker 10's and 3k amp, and am looking to go to 6 bigger tens. I will be running either the Q's or BL's from fi, or still possibly some sundown tens. I will be running at 2/3 ohm nominal, and have narrowed my amp choices down to either the Sundown NS1, or the Stetsom 7ke. I used to be a part of Team Sundown so I know what the amps are capable of, and I know I will get every bit of 7k out of it, but what about the stetsom? how does it stack up? I already read a thread in their section about the single power/ground, so not too concerned about that. This will be a musical setup for bassrace and bass boxing, so not just talking burps here. I already have the …

  23. Have you guys heard anything bad about the Pioneer DEX-P99RS? It would be perfect for my three way front stage. I love the idea of having a processor and HU all in one unit. It is expensive compared to other HU's but if you look at the price of a processor plus an HU then the price of the P99RS isn't so bad.
