I currently drive a 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T with the 3.6liter V6 and I have 2 JL 13w7's, 2 HD1200/1's, Alpine 137bt HU, with Alpine 200watt power pack running JL C2 61/2's in front and C2 6x9's in rear and stock 31/2's in my dash and I also have a audio 1000 watt capable battery in my trunk wired in with the factory batt. As of right now I'm only running 1 sub and 1 amp and I wandering what kind of electrical upgrades I would need to run both sets for 2600watts that's 2 amps and the power pack together. I'm gonna do the big 3 and add another 1000 watt capable battery, do you guys think this would be enough, or would I need a high output alternator as well. I pretty sure …

Hey all, I have done some research and could only find one head unit that would run .FLAC files or any lossless audio codec. And this head unit was super expensive and hard to find. Does anyone know a good way around this like a media player that can play them and will hook up to the head unit? Would auxillary cables degrade the quality aspect of FLAC making it pointless to try playing them on a MP3 player of some sort? Thanks guys.

I drive a 2003 Saturn Ion with a stock alternator 105Amps, I dont compete just daily driving and live in Dallas so my trips can be an hour or more(but not everytime I leave the house). Im planning on doing some electrical upgrades to the vehicle and just dont know how to go about it, so my SSA family help me out. I have a Sundown SAZ-200oD (200A), SAX-125.2 (60A) and a four channel in he future probably SAX100.4(90A), so I wanna plan these upgrades around all the three amps(around 350A, give or take a little) and not what I currently have. Question #1: Do I need an High Output alternator or not, if so I have found a 200Amp one for my car and I will get that? Question #2: …

Alright, I'm sort of confused, and have spent hours/Days/weeks trying to figure this all out, but I'm sort of just in between ideas at the moment. I was told you guys were the best, and so I've come here! If you have any ideas, any help would greatly be appreciated. and I've tried to help out as much as I can in terms of information.. So essentially I'm at the stage where I already have; HU - AVIC-F910BT (http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/archive/AVIC-F910BT/page.html) Which for quick reference has Front, Rear and Sub pre-outs. 6x9's - JL C2-690TX (http://www.elite-electronics.com.au/In-Car_Entertainment/Speakers/Rear_Speakers/JL_Audio_C2-690TX_6x9_Speakers#.UgkNupIy1…

What do you guys think of this amp? I saw a topic over at SMD and it didn't seem bad at all. I can get it for a REALLY cheap price, like, if it puts out even 3000 watts rms, then it is still worth it. It doesn't look too bad imo. And, compared to the Crunch GP3000D-pro, what do you all think?

Hey everyone, I just bought a used Alpine CDA 9885 and I've connected and soldered all the connections together. When I put it in, it turns on and I can go through any of the functions, but whenever I adjust the volume knob, no sound at all is being produced by my speakers. I cannot pick up any sound through the radio, nor the Ipod function, though it will show that it is playing the track on the Ipod. Anyone have any possible ideas on what could've happened? I have already checked my soldered connections, and they seem solid, so I'm not sure what else it might be. Thanks again!

I had 2 15" Alpine type r's but now, come to my discovery, i had 16 guage wire running from the amp to the subs... What size should i get for a 15" FI BTL? running a little under 2000 watts? 12? 10 to be safe? ohhhh... the amp says "speaker terminals (molded) 12 ga." i measured, and i could easily fit up to 5 ga.

Hey guys, I'm buying an Alpine IVA-D310 and I'm hoping to get a nice 3-way active setup going. I found the h/u for a good price lightly used, not really willing to spend the 500+ I have on past h/u's. a I was trying to find an Alpine PXA-H701 but I can't find one so maybe someone could suggest a comparable eq that could be controlled with the touch screen? Also I just want to make sure this is a good unit for my situation. As far as the 3-way active setup, I have an older eclipse ea4000, but I'm willing to sell to get another 4 channel and a 2 channel, or just add another 2 channel. I do want the amps to match though so suggestions would be great. I'm on a budget at the m…

I need some advice on how to tune my system. I've got the following...yes they are a bit old but in great condition. Alpine CDA-7844 SoundsStream Rubicon 404 and 702 amps MB Quart 6.5" components with MusiComp crossover MB Quart 2 ways with regular crossover for rear. The 404 is driving the mids/highs and the 702 is hooked up and ready for when I buy a sub. My question is how do I got about figuring out what to set the gains at? Also do I need to set the 404 to high pass and 702 to lowpass? If so, what frequency should I set them each at? The HU has a setting for the "bass control center frequency". I can choose 60, 70, 80 100hz. Default is 100. Not sure if I shou…

I put my mechman 240a alt on and have a group 65 diehard platinum under hood and small stinger in back. when playing full tilt on heavy bass im seeing low 12s. If i add another big plat in the back will this keep my voltage in the 13s or will it still drop to 12s as that's what the batteries rest at? this may be stupid question but none the less i am curious.

Hello, im thinking of getting some new amps for my system, I am really interested in these Crescendo amps, for the price dont seem too bad. I was wondering how the sound quality is on these? My subwoofers are FI q 15, two of them in a sealed box. My mid range speakers are diamond audio hex 6 inch tweeters are Dayton audio R528F-4, 4 ohm silk Alpine cda-117 and pxa-h100, going 2 way active front stage my amps i have right now are 2 ppi pc2600.2 for the front stage and a crunch gp3000.1 pro amp for the subwoofers, i have had the ppi amps for 12 years, realy like them, very clean sounding amps, i was wondering if the crescendo C1100.4 would sound just as good as the ppi? i h…

I will be getting a new car soon. I honestly dont want to use my current 4 gauge as it limits me to <1300rms I want to go straight to zero gauge so I dont have to worry about the wire in the future. I wanted to go for Kicker, but wire is wire and Knukonceptz seems to have a good reputation here and seems to be cheaper. I also heard about Welding Supplies, they seem like another good option. However, I recently read a thread were one of the wires (dont know if Knukonceptz or Welding) was made of CCA (copper covered aluminum I believe). All I remember was that CCA wire should be avoided. So now I ask, which one is the one to go for? I really cant make a mistake since I'l…

This will take over the duties of powering my front stage. The 2100-XXK that's in there right now is doing fine, but the Germaniums seems like it wants a bit more power....so a bit more power they shall get. The 2100-XXK rated at 100 x 2 @ 4 ohm, the 4150-XXK when bridged will do 320 x 2. (Don't think I'll send THAT much power to them though, but it's good to have some headroom) Not sure if I'm going to use this lil guy. If anything I'll just put it on the 1500-XXK that's powering my sub.

I just bought an 18" BTL daily driver fully loaded. The question is which amp should I buy to power this beast? I lookin at the RF T20001bd or the Sundowner 1500d. I know the RF might make more power(2000vs1500) but the sundowner is just a little more expensive. Can anyone tell me about their experience with this brand? (sundowner) I never heard of them before but I hear they are excellent. Please leave a little feedback on what you like and why. I want to slam hella hard for my weekend cruiser(91 Silverado) as I already have a commuter car with 2 15's. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks guys.
