I will be running a 4-channel amp to run my mids/highs, so I'm looking into a 4-channel RCA set. I've heard people say that it really doesn't matter how good the quality of the cable is, and I've heard the opposite. How do you think these would perform? I have Amazon Prime, so $12.41 with 2-day shipping sounds pretty sweet. Are they worth it, or should I go with something else?

I bought my HU today for my 240. I decided on the Eclipse 8443. I intended to get the 8053 with BLA but I just bought the Viper 1200.1 for my Altima.

so i have decided on the speaker for my new setup, it will be an ssa xcon 18 in a sealed enclosure, but now i need to find an amp to run it. i have been doing a lot of research and have come to see what kind of input i can get from people who may have used this equipment before to steer me in the right direction. i have a limit of about 300 for the amp, i realize this will not get me the best amp to run the sub, but i am ok with this. i have composed a list of the amps within my price and power range, but am open to all suggestions and comments to help me decide on the right amp. thanks for all your help in advance. I heard that circuit breakers are not a good idea. Is it tru that they lose their capacity every time they are tripped. So the first time it will trip at rated load, then it will begin to trip at lower values every time it is tripped?

my mind keeps changing ever day while i'm trying to save on what amp to get. i know its going to be a sundown. but which one? i was leaning toward the 4500. but the used 3000's looked nice. now the 3500 seem to be offering a little more. so after looking, the 3500's do not have any fuses. i really dont like fuses because when i did, it kept blowing (it was a low amp like maybe 50 or so for the whole system, 3 1000w amps and a yellow top, after the stock battery). so i upgraded it to a 250amp monster fuse, worked perfect. i have seemed to have lost my fuse so someone said "Get a circuit breaker instead". just wondering whats your ideas on Fuses and on Circuit breakers.

I can’t find anything online on these amps. Leaning towards the crossfire 6k but I would to see clamp results starting at .5 and around 1.2-1.8 ohms after rise between 12.8-13.5 volts ok the new model dd m5 and crossfire xs 6k.

What does clamping an amp mean? "my amp clamped at 2800watts at 2ohm 13.8 volts" does that mean he stuck it in one of these, and it put out better?

Im going to be ordering my new head unit later on today, but I would like to know if anyone has/used this type before and how well it works, I'm getting it because it has 3 pre-amp settings and had a USB and AUX port on it, my old head unit has neither of these and I'm only using CD's which get scratched way too easily. What are you guys' thoughts on this? It is sort of temporary give or take on how much I like it, I don't like the looks too much but it seems like its fine. I like having the noticable volume and channel changing button also. The USB I have read that you can plug your iPod through the USB and it should work (if it doesn't I have a flash drive or can get a bigger one for ~10$) and it plays cds. I have an iPod touch and I haven't been able to use it because the wireless ones dont work for chit (and differ in each car), I have no tape deck, and all I can play are cd's. i can get the clarion for about 200 and the pioneer for about 300. is it worth goin for the pioneer? its my first active set up. i could afford some better speakers if i get the clarion... and i really like the look on the clarion for some reason... idk why...

Errr!!! I have posted on a lot of forums and still gotten no answer about the clarion. I am looking at either that or the Pioneer 960 but I am in a bind over which one i want. bought it off sonicelectronix.com the website not the ebay store and everything works fine, the only thing i'm having an issue with is the fact that a week ago the dvd player showed video while the car was in park and now with the parking brake applied and the emergency brake, it still says "audio only" i'm thinkin theres a loose connection somewhere, worst case scenario i hope it's not the head unit itself. any advice?

Hey so I was browsing woofersetc today and I came across this Clarion VZ400 Looks pretty nice for less than $400. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find a review. Anyone tried one of these or used a clarion head unit and know how they do? Looks like a steal to me so I'm just looking for second opinions.

I currently have a Pioneer DEH-7800MP and am very happy with it except for the fact that I would like a DVD player/flip screen. I'm trying to find something with 3 preouts, some crossover abilities, and fairly inexpensive. The head unit has to be single din and a flip screen because my dash would have be cut for a full din. The Clarion looks decent but I can't find much info on it other than really general stuff. Ebay, Crutchfield, and other online sites have it for around $350 shipped and that's the price range I'm looking for. According to PowerBass 3XL product info, a Class D amplifier heats a subwoofer voice coil 2 to 3 times hotter and faster than a class a/b amplifier. Is there any truth to this?
