hi guys my question is. can a low battery bank cause my mmats hd 4000.5 to clip pre maturely.

Hey everyone, I just got my o scope and decided to tune my system. First i did the door speakers since they are ran off the HU, and found I have a max volume of 31/50, all the sine waves looked good, went smooth as butter.... then i went to the sub amp, brz1200d, and i have the weirdest thing showing up on the scope. a picture will be below, or a link. i have eliminated the rca's, hu, and almost all factors with this. even with no signal going to it, and just the amp on, no rca's connected, no bass knob, and i still get a feedback.... please help me figure out why this is happening, i dont want to bump my sub till this is figured out.

Well I am trying to get a system back up and running, and am in need of an amp. I am looking for something that can do 1000-1200 watts rms at 1ohm stable, and have the unfortunately low budget of around $200 shipped I currently drive a 2005 Scion Xa. 160 amp H/O alternator. It has all knukonceptz speaker wire, rca's and distribution blocks. 0g big 3 upgrade and 0g power and ground wires. A Panasonic CQ-C7205U head unit. I run an Alpine PDX 100.4 for my infinity reference components in front and coaxials in the rear. 2 Elemental Designs 13Ov.2's dual 4 ohm subwoofers in a custom 2ft3 sealed enclosure. they are 600 watts rms each, and I have them wired to a 1ohm load. …

I have a question about my car or alternator. I have a permanent volt meter inside my car monitoring my electric status due to my audio install, I've noticed that when I'm on the highway at high speed or when at high idle, normally above 2,000 rpm, the voltage drops, below 12.6v and the battery and brake lights start to blink on and off on the dashboard, even with my radio and complete system off. What is happening? Thanks.

Well, I'm going to be running a AQ2200D (as some of you may know) to power a IA DP 21". Now I'm having some worries about my electrical system. These are my plans: STOCK ALT. It's a 150A Bosch alt. (Possibly 130A, but I'm pretty sure 150.) either 1/0 or 2/0 wiring all the way around. Positive & negative run to the front. (I know bigger is better, but do I need 2/0?) (1) Deka 9A31 in the rear. (Would go PM, but that's out of my budget. Plus, I can't justify spending that much on a single battery when I can get two Dekas for the same price, even though the PMs are better.) this forum is alot better to get answers from. so i was wondering where sould i put the amp? on teh sub box? or on the carpet under my back seat in the van? does it matter? and should i look to get a CAP?. i have a 130AMp alternator and a Die hard Gold battery, and the amp is a 1200 concept. with 2 gauge wiring and the fuse i dont know what size? either to choose thanks alot i will post pics when i get it all which should be wensday next week.

i have a problem guys when ever i turn my mmats pro audio 1500.1 amp on it says protect and wont come out of protect mode i have no subs hooked up so i dont know what it could poosibly be?? any clue???

So Ive bought and returned every solder gun in home depot and none of them work for what Im doing. I want to solder the ring terminals to my 0/1 wire but the guns dont heat it up enough. Where do i get a decent solder gun for doing 0/1 wire and how many watts should it be? The highest I found at home depot was 75. Two weekends in a row now its starting to get frickin annoying. Any ideas?

Orion 2400D, gonna be working with a few of these again. Does anyone know who used them to the fullest extent? Any pics on that? Hoping to pull some big numbers out of this set up for a daily driver set up.

I thought I would post this here since replies elsewhere were slim. I've seen a couple of US Acoustic amps around at a reasonable price and was wondering what people thought about these amps. I know Zed made the first batch of the USX line and them US Acoustics took the plans and had them made in Korea (Pretty chitty if you ask me). I've google this line and people seenm to be happy with them (quality and build), but I thought I would ask around here since it seems that people have a better perspective on the car audio world on this forum. Tell me what you think.

Alright guys..i have an Eclipse TI series 12" running in my truck. Right now i have a kenwood kac7202 with 4gauge wiring and a 1F capacitor. The amp doesnt put out enough power..so Should i buy a mono block amp or 2 channel and bridge it? And what amps do you recoment for this sub? my budget is not huge so take it easy on me lol.. Any help it all getting more sound outa this thing will be aprreciated!

if an amp is fuses with 2 20amp fuses.. what is the most the amp can put out power wise? i cant find a place that has amp output by fuse rating listed.... Thanks -AcId-

chit fudge chit driving home from school today, music playing next thing i know my truck starts randomly slowing down and my ABS light is blinking. THen i see my voltage meter is droping lower than usualy with the beat. I turn the system off and everything is good. Turn it back on and same problem. Im pretty sure my alternator just died on me. how this relates to the ABS randomly comming on i dont know. Glad my 4 year old battery had the life in her to get me home, Hopefully it can get me to the parts store to have my battery and alternator tested. If it is the alternator, while im paying $150 for a new stock replacemnt, i'll probably pay $100 more tops for a Hight Outpu…

Hey guys could someone help me as to how to go about setting the bass boost on my amplifer? Is it bad to use it? SAZ-3000D

Now I've pretty much maxed out the weight in batteries I feel comfortable putting in the 300 considering this is my daily rig atm. I've never run this crazy of an amount of power before so do you guys think I can get away with 2 340 amp alternators, and 5 group 31 agm batteries? With the leviathan and the 2 12ks that should be around 1800amps at 13.8v. Obviously I won't get 14.7 with no drop, but I just don't want to be dropping into the 11s. As long as I'm at 12.0 and up I feel safe. Since you guys have ran that much power and know that electrical isn't completely black and white, you guys should have a general idea. Hi guys. I know the brz2400 and the bre2500 are close, but how choose? Has anyone every ran a 2500 below 1 ohm? How did it perform? Thanks guys

i have a 2 channel amp and it says it puts out 320 watts at 1 ohm x2 so if i have 4 speakers rated at 80 watts a piece can i just put them on 1 of the amps channels and it will put out the power they need is that how it works and its the other 320 watts on the other channel not used please help

will a audiopipe 3000d see 1ohm as a daily driver?

So I have a Alpine ute52bt that is cutting out whwn I turn it up. I first thought it was a connection So it was checked. Tried to move the ground from factory to bear metal to battery and it still cuts out once I start to turn up the volume. do you guys have any other ideas? Sorry for the short post. My set up is the deck listed. A pair of i65c and a pair of infinitys in the rear. Nothing follows.

i read the tutorial, but im having some trouble. im not getting anywhere near the voltage i should be with my dmm, and its NEGATIVE! of course im doing it wrong, but i need someone to talk me through it. could one of you pm me a phone number so i can call you? should only take a couple minutes, im sure its just something simple im messing up. would really appreciate it. thanks, Shaun

I've always been a fan of getting an Alpine H701 with a W505, but I am scared that with the H701 being discontinued I may never find one. So I'd like to find some more options for what is available and capable of 3-way processing. Also would be nice to have a collaborative list here for those to reference to.
