Alpine PXA-H701 w/RUX-C701 vs. AudioControl DQXS w/DDC

Just installed my cda-9886 and it plays the radio but on cd's it shows that its playing but no sound. Same with ipod. I'm thinking it has to do with it possibly beig a faulty cd player... which is ganna piss me off. Any ideas?

this is a WHOLE new world for me. this is what i have come up with... ID CD1Pro's Some nice midbass Drivers...hoping to run them at 2 ohms if possible for 100w. any suggestions? and an EQ/crossover type thing, im really confused on how that works. Do i hook all my amps to a single EQ? do i need to run any wires to my HU? i want a cheap one, just enough to get by. i was thinking about just using my HU's crossovers to mess with everything, or should i buy xternal ones? but im really lacking in the EQ part... i dont think a 3-band would cut it with the horns all of this is going to be thru one 4 channel amp. any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated

Will a aq750 be able to run at .5 ohms?

I am wondering if the bc2000 will allow the use of 175 amp fuse. I will be burning it at a half ohm. So all u guys that have had experience with this amp I would appreciate ur thoughts.

I need a new amp for my SI Mag. I had a Massive P1000.1 amp running it that does 880W @ 1ohm, but that amp is now powering my newly fixed Adire Brahma MKIII that Fi reconed for me and instead of getting a new amp for the Brahma, I'm thinking about getting one for the Mag. As with being located in Australia it's not that easy to get a big alternator cause most of the auto sparkys are f*#%wits... I asked him would I be able to run a SK-1500.1 and a SK-85.4 of my car and he said "yeah mate.. You could run them off the stock batt" I face palmed it so I put it to you people.... My car came from factory with a 100 amp alternator and it has I think 2 awg wire to the batt... Hey fellas!! its been a while since i last was on here. its good to see the forum still going strong!! I gots a situation i needs help with fellas. I just ordered an 220 iraggi alt for my car. I've been having battery issues for a few months now and im convinced a new alt will defitnely help my setup and maybe fix my battery issues. I have an optima red top under the hood and a kintek 800 in the back next to the amps run in series. The optima has been recharged twice and from what im told needs to be recharged again. I posted this on another forum but didn't really get the best answer so I figured I see what you guys had to say First off I am going to be running an 800 watt sub amp with an FI sub (Not sure which one yet) And probably a speaker amp around 100x2 watts I have a 94 honda accord with a 70 amp stock alt, I am going to be doing the big three for sure. What other upgrades do you think I am going to need to do? If I have to upgrade my alt would one from ebay do the trick or is that not recommended? Ive searched ca.com ive searched here a little bit and i even asked a dedicated forum for my car but i have a 2000 toyota camry with a 2.2l and im trying to do the big 3 on it. But with all the wires in wire loom and such However doing it is alot harder than my s10. So my question is can i just add 0gauge wire and not mess with the stock wiring? Or is this a no go? Reason i thought i could do it is becauase i see alot of you guys run multiple strands on 0 gauge instead of just one strand. Any help would be great.

I just got my Batcap 800 today. The instructions say NOT to ground it to the chasis! Does this seem strange to anybody else? I've used caps before and have always grounded them to the chasis. It says to wire it in parallel to the amp. If it's 25% cap & 75% battery why wouldn't you ground it to the chasis? so i got a 4' x 8' sheet of 3/4 plexi for free the other day so im using some of it to enclose my amp. im wondering where i should mount my fans i have 2 4" fans and im wondering how should i mount and wire them. 1 in each end? wired one pushes and one pulls? or both pulling air in? and ill add 2 more when i find some more

OK I have made the decision to go with a custom dual alt set up in the Taurus...yada yada ya mount it, longer, belt, etc.. done. BUT I got to thinking about a few things I learned in school and I was wondering if anybody else on here with a dual alt set up has run a equalization connection between the two to prevent the alt that has the stronger field excitation from taking all the load and turning the other weaker one into a motor? And how do you know that both are in phase as not to double voltage when they are 180 degrees out of phase, 28 volts will fry my car. anybody with knowledge of electron physics that could help would be GREATLY appreciated

Basically I cannot get any pre-out voltage from the HU for the sub-out. With volume all the way up on a 50hz tone pre-out voltage is ~.69 (tested directly at the HU). Put the leads on the mid output... .69 as well. Put on a 1khz test tone.. DMM on mid outputs... 3.69... on sub with 1khz.. 3.69. So basically I'm pretty sure nothing is wrong with the actual pre-outs but I am missing an option or control on the HU completly. I have the Subwoofer set to +15 and it's set on Subwoofer system 1. Friend, I am from Nicaragua and have a couple of questions: I have a single Rockford amplifier T20001 (2500 - 2800 rms ) with 2 TRF 12 ... and i hit 145.6 db.....Now.... i wanna buy another T200001....my question is: It could increase the db with another T20001 or not. How many db can i increase if put each T20001 with each TRF 12" 1.5? 2? 2.5? 3? Thanks

So I currently have a d2 icon wired to one ohm in a ported box running off at sundown sae 1200 v2. I also have 2 fi ssds d1(s), I built a sealed box for them and wired them in parallel; on the dmm it reads .7 ohms. My vehicle is a buick lesabre which has 130 amp alt. With the icon my electrical is great, the lowest i see is 14.0 (13.8 or so with the a/c on) at full tilt while at a stop light or something. I put the fi's in, a direct swap. I left the amp setting the same. My voltage is horrible, dropping into the 12s at full tilt at highway speeds. So i turned down the gain, pretty much a 1/4 turn back and my voltage is just as bad. Big 3 done with knuconcept 1/0 1 run of power wire to trunk I am grounding off frame in trunk, but when I tested the impedance I got a low # (don't remember exact #) Standard alt I will be running 2 Xcons 12s D1, with most likely a BC3500. I have a BC2000 for now. These will be trunk mounted with fold down seats. I will be buying a amp for the component speakers, not sure what yet?
