H.U. >>>>>>>>>>>>Eclipse AV8533, installed ~ 2 months ago, new in box before that. I'm the original owner. Mid bass speakers>>>>Peerless sls (830946) 4 of them. Mid bass amp>>>>>> Sundown sax 125.2, installed ~ 2 months ago, I'm the original owner. A couple of days ago I thought I heard my midbass speakers fade out, then come back on in a second or two. I wasn't sure if I heard it or not, so I dismissed it. Today I got in my truck and got on the E-way (I'm 2 min. from the E-way) and my midbass speakers faded out again. I don't think this is a wiring issue, it happens like clockwork, they play for ~6 second…

My jvc kw nx 7000 is buggin' out and they want $50 plus shipping for me to send it to Colorado to diagnose it before they can even give me an idea on price. Has anybody ever dealt with a company for touch screen repair? I am reluctant to spend 70-100 just to send it out to be told it is another 400 to fix. Any ideas?

I've had my koda 8's and ID cx62's sitting around for god knows how long. There is someone over at CA.com selling this amp http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=171515 for 185 shipped. That's a really really good price for the power it puts out. Is there something wrong with MB quart? Why isn't anyone really showing interest? I just want to know b/c I'm about to pm him about picking it up but need to know what I'm about to purchase. I just want to put 150 to the kodas and maybe 100 to the ID's. Tell me what you think

Hey guys, I'm having trouble on deciding what amp would be best for this sub. The Me10.2 is a 10" DVC 2 ohm driver rated at 700W RMS, and I will probably run it at 4 ohms in a sealed enclosure ~1 cu ft. Whats a good value amp would you recommend that can run ~600W RMS @ 4 ohm load on stock electrics? Or should I run this sub at 1 ohm? Thanks, Lucas

Though I have a ton of old Sony ES head gear in my collection, I have decided to go modern for my wife's ride, a 2003 Aviator. I am pretty much sold on a touch screen double din unit, but I have been out of the "game" for so long that I really dont know what is "quality" anymore. I have been looking hard at the Alpine INA-W900BT.....but it only has 2volt outs??? I plan on keeping the rest of the system stock for now, definitely want to retain steering wheel controls(I know the Alpine requires an additional module). Would eventually like to go with a full blown SQ all active system, so I want to plan for the future. Reliability is must as well.... My question is....w…

tomorrow is quiver on the river, a TP usaci outlaw spl event..last year i took first in my class with a 145.5 using two 15" treo ss's (yeah, the ones that claimed a rear glass in a ryan built box, helped crack my windshield[rock chip]) using a memphis st1000d...in my old dodge. well, i've got the orion in my truck at .5ohm (roughly 27-2800wrms b4 impedence rise) on a s18x...would u think that's stronger then a mojo running at 2ohms? i have a borrowed st series (i believe.it's silver chrome with the non flamed logo) sitting on my dining table. would it handle .5ohm for burps? a local world champion says the mojo is stronger at 2 ohm then the orion at .5ohm...i know he know…

Hi all, My question is a daily/Competing question. it has to do with the Street classes in DB drag. in street A they only allow One (1) battery in the stock location. which is fine, for competing and doing the whole burp it and go thing. but with an saz-3000 i feel i will need more than one battery for daily driving and for the other organization im competing in Midwest SPL (no battery restrictions). so my question is what is the best way to do this? safely of course. My initial thought was to have a sort of buss bar for positive and negative (this may get complicated so bear with me). I will run one 2/0 welding cable from the front battery to the trunk Buss bars …

A few days back I got in my car to head to a friends house. Started the car and as my head unit turned on I heard a sort of pop/thud noise coming from my trunk. It wasn't too loud, but I then noticed my sub wasn't playing. Looked back there and the amp wasn't on. It had worked fine the day before. I checked fuses, grounds, and the remote wire to make sure it was fine. Amp still wouldn't turn on. I opened up the amp and I didn't see any burn marks or any apparent damage, but I took some photos to see if any of you guys happened to know anything... There is one 30A fuse, and the rest are 40A; hoping that had nothing to do with the amp not turning on, its been that wa…

My Pioneer MVH-8200 recently has been having faceplate issues where it seems like it isn't making a good connection and if I push in the faceplate sometimes it causes the unit to turn off then back on (most likely because it loses connection then regains). I live in maine so it gets pretty cold and I'm wondering if there is some moisture in there that's causing issues. If that is the case what do you think I could do to help clean off the connectors? I tried looking on ebay and amazon for a replacement faceplate and couldn't find one, and when I emailed pioneer they gave me the usual round around with warranty (which I don't have the info for since I bought it used)

Anyone have any inside info or guesses as to when car audio manufacturers will be using Toslink cables for connections. Stepping up from a decent RCA cable to a fiberoptic cable made a noticible differnce in my HT set up.

hey guys ive been going thru alot of amps lately and i was set on the memphis mojo amp for 4000wats but now i see alot of guys using hifonics amps . when looking at prices i found a 8000watt hifonics for the same as a memphis mojo 4000 and the hifonics amp had better protection agianst short circuiting and a crap tone of other features. then the memphis amp has only 4000 and very little features as i see . so my question is what would u guys do i got links below to the amps and prices . do you think 8000 is to much for 2 18 btls fully loaded ? could i burn them up ? hifonics - http://www.ikesound.com/hifonics_xxv_sampson memphis- http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuse…

i put in my new 200 amp from the group buy at ca.com forums. when over 950 rpm or so, it is awesome, rarely ever drops from 13.5 volts and when it does, not under 13. (going by my dash gauge anyhow) under 950 though, the voltage will drop almost to the red, to around 9.. red is at 7.5 or 8. having the stereo up drops it almost another half volt. either way, that is way low voltage. i could just turn my idle rpm up to 950 but it would burn more gas, and i like the rumble of a healthy v8 idling around 700 rpm. i do not have my optima yellow top in yet, waiting on terminals. im using an old, cheap, autozone battery, with 4 gauge run to the back split into 2 8 gauge wires. …
