Here is my progress of the Big 3 on my Sentra. http://i35.tinypic.com/5flyyu.jpg Now here is the stock grounding point for the battery/engine chassis. (That little screw back there) Since it is in the most extremely awkward position, can I instead ground to here with the new cable?

hey everyone i am having trouble setting my gain on my us amps xt1600.2. i am using a dmm to set it and have discovered that i need to come up with a 66.3v reading at 1100 watts rms and with my sub wired at 4 ohms. i am running my headunit at about 25 which is about as loud as i want to go because the door speakers are starting to distort and sound like ass but when i do this i am only coming up with a voltage of about 20v. this is with the gain cranked all the way and my question is could this hurt anything? since im not even close to the 66.3v i am supposed to be at (someone might want to double check that for me..i would appreciate it!) could i possibly be doing an…

Greetings out there. I have read many write ups and seen many videos about using test tones to set your amp gains with an o-scope. My question is when setting bass amp gains does it matter if you use a 40Hz tone over a 50Hz tone? Each topic on this has used a different tone but never told why. For those who dont know.. yes I am a so please inform me if there is a difference. Thanks..

I'm planning adding some some battery terminals from knu konceptz, but there are about 3 smaller (stock) cables currently running to the power terminal now. Could I just combine all these and use them in one of the 0 gauge ports of the knu konceptz terminal? And then leave the two remaining 0 gauge ports for big 3 cable/amp cable? thanks.

I'm like everyone else, just trying to get the best deal, and I can't decide on 2 amps right now. The sundown is more expensive, but I use to own a soundstream a while back and never had any issues with it. What would you guys choose, i will pay more for better quality, but maybe they are both very close. Thanks all. Sundown Audio SAX-1200D 375 or Soundstream PCX-1500D 239 + free shipping

i am trying to decide whether to purchase a Rockford t1500-1bdCP or an AudioQue AQ2200.1D amplifier. for me the rockford would be $130 more, and i was just wondering if that is worth it or if i should stick with the AudioQue and have more power. and how much difference does the constant power technology make in the Rockford? a comparison of the two amps would be nice.

I've noticed, the bass tones usually used to set the gains are 0db, but in most rap songs, bass lines are around -7db to -8db... Some are even lower, especially for other genres. I recently used -8db tones on my friend's setup, and it got MUCH louder, this was about 4 weeks ago, and everything is still running fine, subwoofer never even gets warm to the touch. Shouldn't you use -7 to -8db tones for setting RMS power instead of using 0db tones? Because if you think about it, -7 to -8 is the RMS, and 0db would be the "peak" or "max" or whatever you wanna call it (not that it matters). For those wondering, this is the system I set the gains on: Amplifier - Sundown SAZ-1000D …

so i have decided on the speaker for my new setup, it will be an ssa xcon 18 in a sealed enclosure, but now i need to find an amp to run it. i have been doing a lot of research and have come to see what kind of input i can get from people who may have used this equipment before to steer me in the right direction. i have a limit of about 300 for the amp, i realize this will not get me the best amp to run the sub, but i am ok with this. i have composed a list of the amps within my price and power range, but am open to all suggestions and comments to help me decide on the right amp. thanks for all your help in advance. Have a ford F150 truck (1995) , Im in need of getting a new battery i think (the sundown saz1000) makes my headligths dim, big 3 allready done and i have a 95 amp alternator on it. I bought this smaller amp so i wouldnt have to upgrade my electrical . I think my weekest link is my battery .What Battery Brands would you reccomend and also if there are any so called sleeper batteries (Walmart, kragen, autozone) that are a great buy .Not looking to spend 150 bucks on a battery either . Thought the system could handle 2-10" subwoofers and a 200 watt amp to run the mids, tweets . Everythign is wired in 4 guage as well. Lets hear what you all have to say !

So something came up and I have to wait a week or so to put in my dc power 270xp... I'm going to be running a saz-3500d @ 1.33ohms and sax-125.2. I also have 3 optima yellowtops (i'll get some xs or kinetiks later).. Could I get everything setup and run it off my stock alt? I think it's either 105 or 130amps..I obviously wouldn't abuse it and monitor my voltage..It would only be for about 3 or 4 days.. Thanks

Is there any way to wire my iPod to my factory deck? It doesn't have an aux input, and I don't want to run it off a radio frequency due to shitty SQ. I plan on running an MTX re-q sound processor to run my subwoofer/amp, but otherwise I will have a stock 2003 Toyota Camry system. *Edit* Just read up on the MTX re-Q5, looks like it has an aux input...would this work for me? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_10834_MTX+Audio+reQ-5+-re-Q+%3Csup%3E5%3C-sup%3E-.html Any ideas would be appreciated, i'm stumped here Thanks!

Would it be better to install a kinetik HC 1400 and replace my original battery or could i just add a smaller kinetik like the HC 600 and have my original battery and the kenetik. im on a budget and it would be a lesser dent in my pockets if i had the smaller kinetik also will my stock alternator be able to handle either one. or do i have to upgrade that too? im getting the hifonics brz1700.1d amp and i dont want any voltage drops, cause it already drops with a sony xplod amp
