Hello, I would need some help on wiring two amps. I have Sundown 50.4 for fronts and backs, and will order Sundown 125.2 for 2 8'' subs in the back. I need wiring info on which things to buy to wire those two amps. I was looking at knukoncepts and wasn't sure which items to grab to have complete parts. This kit seems good for the 50.4 and I should have enough power wire to run it to the amps 4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit and then I got info that I should run distribution block to split the power wire between the two amps ? If so which distribution wire would be a good one ? I don't think I would need another amp kit but just additional rca's, another ground wire, c…

I need an experts help, every time I try to make a box a very specific size, like certain dimensions. It automatically changes all the others I had. Example is, Say I want Side A to be 20", so I type 20. The program automatically adds numbers to side B & C. Then when I try to put in my own number in side "B" it changes A & C automatically. Even when I want A to stay the same, it changes it. What can I do?

I will be having a mono amp and i dont know if il have to solder. Now for wires: 0ga, RCA cables, i dont know if ill need 1/2ga Subs i will be getting-15" Fi BTL Amp-Undecided but either a audioque 2200D or Sundown Audio Electrical- Possibly a seco…

I just ordered 3 knu fleks 4g power wires for the big 3 upgrade, one thing, it doesn't say how long the wire is which is kind of annoying but anyway: My battery is a superstart 550, don't know if that means 550 amps or not but i doubt it. Alt is just stock, i drive an 01 sonata gls, so im guessing its probably like 90 amp alt. Im running 1/0 knu klm for power and grounds to my fi bl 15 (09 version) off of 1 ohm, and i doubt im getting near even 1000w, and prolyl mad voltage drop too. My question is, about how many amps will my electrical be putting out after the big three upgrade? Will it be enough to get 1000w+ out of my shit? Thanks.

Hello to anyone that can help me. I have the above car and I'd like to upgrade to the Big 3 to help my power. I have searched all over the internet to find the answer for this but no avail. The problem lies in the fact that the alternator is quiet hidden on the underside of the engine and the battery is under the back seat. Can anyone help me with the easiest way to do the Big 3 on this Cadi? Thanks for any help!

The Big 3 Are: 1. negative battery wire to ground - just replace the negative batt. terminal and wire and ground it to the factory location 2. engine block to ground - replace the ground wire from the engine block to the chasie with a bigger wire (maybe 4 guage) 3. alternator to batt - add a fused wire from the postive post on you alternator (the one comming from the battery) to the postive terminal on your battery. DO NOT exchange wires just add a extra one. make sure it fused the same size as your factory fuse. hope thats helps Note on #2- Some cars have a batt-engine block connection stead of chassis to engine block... -------------------------------------------------…

I have 2 SSA Evil D2 15s with Fresh Recones. The Recones have 4 Stiff Spiders instead of the normal 3 the Evils come with. I am currently running them on 1 Crescendo BC5500 with plans for 2 - BC5500s My box is 10.13312 Cubic Feet inside after all displacement. The port inside dimensions are 4.5" wide X 9.25" high X 9.375: deep I came up with that the box is tuned to 27.5hz Is this box good or should there be changes. Please give me any help and or input. It is in a hatchback B Pillar Wall I appreciate all input Thanks in advance

Amplifier bridging is simply using 2 driven output channels to drive a common load. For 2 channel amplifiers, one left signal and one right signal is used to drive a mono speaker load. Keep in mind that mono and bridging are not necessarily the same. Mono means that there's only one output signal. There could be more than one speaker but each speaker will have the same output. Bridging means that you are using more than one source of power to drive a load (speaker). The sources of power are one each output from either channel of the amplifier. A long time ago, amplifiers had signal on the positive output speaker terminals only. To bridge one of those amplifiers, you'd hav…

Im wanting to build a hybrid woofer but have never tried this before. i have two 3 bolt Memphis MOJO motors and i want to know if i can recone them with either some 15" SSA or Sundown recone parts and run on an SAZ-3500. What do i need to know about these motors before to know what parts i can use and what parts should i use? I know the motors have 2 magnet slugs that are iirc 1" x 8.5" and the oem voice coil is a 4 layer 3" coil. can or should i use an 8 layer coil and can i use the same basket as the soft parts im using use and redrill it to fit the three bolt style?

I've moved my forum to http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ Calculator can be found here: http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box.asp I'm working on a new improved calc. It currently only does response curves: http://www.subwoofertools.com/boxprogram.asp www.accelerator-pedal.com should be returning my custom 404 page directing you to subwoofertools. It's not. Stupid GoDaddy hosting.

well here it goes, im a programming student and bored as hell because the workload is so light right now. And basically i am making an all in one car audiuo calculator. Sofar i have a calculator that allows someone to punch in cone size, number of subs, and desired tuning frequency and the program will spit back all relevent information such as the length of the port needed for a transmission line box, the port area that will be needed, and an estimation, based on material thickness, a rough estimate of how big cubic foot wise the box will be. and from this i can minimize it back down into a cone area calculator, and a box size calculator. i was just looking for some sugg…

So, I've noticed recently that just about every wire company has bot OFC and CCA wire available, with OFC being the higher end line. My question is, In a car audio environment, where my power wire run will be no greater than 17 ft, is the difference in conductivity enough to make a noticeable (to me as an average consumer) difference? If not overdrawing or improperly fused? As an example: 4 awg run 60 amp fuse less than 12" from battery to amplifier that has a max current draw of 60 amps with a total length of the run being 12 ft? Amp ground at 18" on 4awg as well? Or say doing big 3 upgrade with 1/0 wire running above mentioned equipment/main power run to the ba…

Hi all A big request to those who have the Clarion HX-D1 in free access: take a picture, please, if there is a possibility of the internal structure of the head and its front panel on the inside. And if anyone has a removed front panel board, and it is possible to make a photo of it from two sides, it will be great at all !!! Thanks for attention!)

So i was trying to find some good information about how to properly install components. I was reading through build logs (including Shizzzon's 25 page one) and every time it came to their set-ups, it seemed as if they gave only 1/2 the information. I have a Boston Acoustic Pro 60se set i would like to use as my front stage. I also have damplifier pro from Second Skin. My question is rather elementary and i apologize for that... but what's the best way to put them in? I would like to avoid the speaker pod approach. I've heard so many different things. Should i make a 3/4" MDF ring and mount the speakers to those? I just honestly have no clue here. And tweeters should be mo…

If you have two 12in mtx subs at 600rms, and you have one 12in fi bl sub thats 1500rms. would the FI be louder? The fi sub is in a ported enclosure built to the specs and the two 12's is in a sealed prefab box???

How would I go about creating more AC AMPS to go into the sub. I feel this would lower my box rise, true or false? I'm getting high AC Voltage readouts but I feel the AMPS are lacking thus creating a high ohm load. More DC amps going into the Sundown 3000? That's the only thing I can think of. This is a rundown of what I have installed '09 Toyota Yaris Pioneer avh 3100 2 din DVD (4 volt out) Pioneer 3 way 5 1/4's & 6x9's Pioneer 600 x 4 (4 channel amp) AA SMD 15" Sub Sundown saz 3000d DC Power 150/320 amp alt 1 Kinetik HC 1200 (up front) 1 Kinetik Hc 2400 (2.5 ft from the amp) Big 3 w/ extra grounds all in Fosgate 1/0 1 run pos.
