Im currently looking at a Havoc 15" right now due to good overall responses for sealed enclosures yet still able to play loud as in loud based from personal reviews we have. Based from specs, we can start from 1.5-3.0 CF... Q1: What does CF stand for? Q2: How does the size affect the overall output and sound quality? Q3: Would going towards the smaller size 1.5 be better or towards the maximum of 3.0? Q4: Any experince playing with the box size that possibly was the best size for sealed enclosure? Thank you so much. looking for any inputs you may have.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum so bear with me. I'm looking to pick up 2 10" subs but I'm deciding between two. The first choice would be 2 10" AA assassins. My other choice would be two DD 510Bs. There specs look the same but i don't know which to get. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had to move the Vifa tweets up higher to get them more on axis, so I was stuck with a big hole in my new door pods. No way I was doing them again, so I came up with a pretty simple idea that looks pretty decent. More importantly the sound is WAY better now, which was the #1 goal. Pass side tweeter in it's new home. Whipped up some simple PVC angle mounts wrapped in gray carpet. $1.50 and about 30 minutes of time. Hard to make a large format tweeter look "good" in a car, but this will have to do. Close up of the driver's side panel. Fire up the "bat signal" and the caped crusader of midrange appears!!! Went with the blue theme to match my old eXcelon. Takes about 5 …

ive never heard of aa subs before till i heard the 8" assassins on youtube. i was impressed. i was wondering wat the 8's run for. and how good do they hold up? and where can i get sum if i decide that these r the ones. if i get 3 of them will a 1500.1 crunch amp power them pretty good. i looked em up and there rated at 250rms so i figured they can candle it. the one thing i like bout em is how low the sealed enclosure requirements r. thanks

So ive got 2 atlas 12s and they have that odd dvc setup (1 4 ohm coild and 1 2 ohm coil). i remember reading that u shouldnt wire the amp directly to the 2 ohm coil. what id like to know is, what are the various ways to wire up a pair of these subs. like what final ohm loads can i achieve and how do i wire them to achieve this. if u cant wire the 2 ohm coils by themselves, is it possible to wire them along with the 4 ohm coils? all this time ive only been wiring the subs at 2 ohms for 2 subs or 4 ohms for one sub just using the 4 ohm VC.

So I hear that the Polly's are some awesome drivers. So I was thinking about using them with a nice set of tweeters with an x-over. Questions is, how do you run yours passive ? What would be a good tweater to use and a good x-over. Are they a good SQ driver ? I am building a SQ setup.

i own 1 assassin and 1 arsensal. thankyou AA!!! that was as close as i will ever get to winning the lottery i was running the assassin for alittle while with about 500rms (2x rated rms. i know... my bad... sorry). but i havent heard it with its recommened power. i could tell it had alittle better sq compared to the arsenal but off course it was not as loud... anyways... and this is all hypothetical... would 2 12" assassins with about 250-300rms each be louder and have greater sq then one 12" arsenal with 600rms? i compared them in winISD and the 2 assassins win in spl. however that program isnt always right. i think my arsenal can hit almost as hard as my 3 old pos kicker…

i really enjoy tinkering with my equipment and moving things around. however i feel that my sub (AA arsenal 12) is too tall for the application i want it for. i was just wondering if its possible to recone it to an 8"? id like the smaller size to conserve some height. however i really dont have any need to make the sub smaller... im just interested in whether or not it can be done. i also understand that it wouldnt be worth the money but i cant help thinking it would be somehow fun to do and make my system more unique...

So I've done my research and found numbers ranging from 1400-2200. Considering I will have 2750 rms on tap for this puppy, I would like to know a more accurate recommendation for daily power handling from either personal/professional experience. My setup is in signature. I ask because I would like set the amp via oscilloscope. I have a tendency to go overboard with everything. Thanks for having me to the forum and I appreciate any suggestions or comments.

I have a dealer in my area that is selling AA. I have heard tons of great reviews about it. I've seen videos on youtube and some help then others do not. I am looking for a new setup for my car. (cavalier 2 door) I listen to rap and rock so I really like a clean hard hitting sound. I was thinking 4 8" assassins but I am not sure how well they do spl wise. Basically I am looking for a setup that will have some decent spl output while keeping the sound as clean as possible. Any insight on this will be greatly appreciated.

I lost my copy of BBP6 when my computer crashed a couple months ago. My original plan was to run the Atlas at 4 cubes at 30hz. Well, plans change, and I have far too much equipment to run in the back of my Blazer 2 door with the spare inside. I'm looking at probably 2-2.5 cubes tops, and I "want" to reach down as low as possible with some authority. Will 2 cubes tuned to 28-30 hz work without creating a narrow peaky response? I'll be running a set of Dayton Ref 8's in the doors, so I'm ultimately looking at something that will play from 60hz down to the 20's fairly flat. If this isn't going to work, I'll have to look into other sub choices, as the space is now going to h…

I am going to build an enclosure for my 2 Havoc 18's in my 07 mazda cx-7. Each will be run off an saz-1500d, probably strapped. I have a few questions, as I suck at ported boxes. I have calculated total gross of 12.34 cu ft. I assume this is enough for 2 Havoc 18's? I actually want to do a "convertable" box. I want to run sealed for daily, and have a port package to run for spl. I am thinking to run with aeroports, as these will work in my mind to be easily removable. Suggestions or ideas? I want to tune relatively low(in the 20's to 30's) for the ported part of the build. Suggestions or ideas? Can I use a TL on my setup right now to find my resonant freq and tune the n…

I have... had a pair of the original Assassin 12's until my amp decided to burn. One driver went to hell and the speaker wires actually melted off the other. Surprisingly, the speaker wire saved the second driver, but the other is a paper weight. Is it cost effective to shoot for a recone, or would it almost be better to pick out a new pair of entry level subs? Thanks

I'm a soon-to-be Ava18 user. However, I'd like to get the cabinet started before the driver arrives, so I can plug, play, and grin. So if someone could confirm the dimensions I have, and fill in the ones I'm missing, I'd appreciate it. OD (with gasket): 18.5" OD (sans gasket): ??? ID (cutout): 16.75" (edit) Height of driver lip (with gasket): ??? Height of driver lip (sans gasket): ??? Also, assuming the driver is recessed by .75" (mounted on the inner layer of a double baffle) how much clearance should I leave for the grille? (I plan to adopt a cat after I move, so I think a grille will be necessary to make sure that no claws touch the surround.) As for how I'll use it, …
