Hello everyone, well after sitting in the FI forum, I've gotten a good deal recently for the Ascendant audio line up, which I've heard is very similar to the fi q of which I originally wanted for less than that of a Q. Both subs are now pretty much the same price, Havocs being cheaper slightly. So I ask you all if any of you have heard the differences between the Q and the Havor in terms of sound. I've talked to a few people and Scott regarding the two subs, and from what I understand is this. The Havoc was made to handle more power out of the box compared to a Q with no BP option, they were made to handle more power so they should be able to handle a bit more abuse. …

I finally got around to building the box for my Havoc 12's. The second one arrived last week, but I just hadn't had time to work on it. Here's a few pics of the box. It 4.3^3 @ 36hz w/ double front and rear baffles.

Hi, i’m from germany and i’m looking for some ascendant audio subs. i have an us amps usa-3000 (class a/b) and now i have to decline between two havoc 15d2 or a single mayhem 18d1. I want silly lows for tracks like “put on by jeezy” or “love for money by drama”. the box would be the same for both installations. i have space for a 7 cu ft. box after all displacements with a 85 in² port tuned to ~28 hz. So what do you think would be the best choice for me in this box? two havocs have more cone area, i think this could be an advantage for my goal but what i’ve heard the Mayhem is a very brutal sub. thanks for your help carsten

I recently got 2 of the new Havocs with the solid pole and improved cooling, and I must say these subs are AWESOME. I've owned the older model havocs before (2008) and these are much better! Each is powered by a RF T1500-1bdcp (1800+ rms) and they seem like they need more...LOL. Box is 11.85 after displacements tuned to 29hz. No vids yet be will have some soon

id like to run 2 18 havocs sealed off a bxi 2610 and i have ~ 12 cft of space for the box. the reason i want to go sealed is the more flat response and stronger low end production. does 12 cft work well or is it too much / less.

I have 4 atlas 12's that i am putting in my living room in 2 seperate sealed boxes. Wiring a pair together what would my final imp. be? I'm going to use a pro amp that puts out max power at 2 ohms but still cranks out the juice at 4 ohm as well. I'm kinda lost with this 4/2 ohm coil configuration. I also would like know what size box would be right too. I know there is a low, mid and high qts settings, does that relate to the 2 ohm coil being open, shorted or adding a resistor? If i shorted the 2 ohm coils and wired the 4 ohm coils in parallel would i achieve a four ohm load using two subs? If i did this to the other 2 subs and then parelleled them together as four would …

  17. I have four original Assassin 8's BNIB sitting in my closet that I was going to use for my car but I've decided to get out of car audio so now I'm thinking about using them for my home theater/stereo. I've already decided on some Acculine Tower and center speakers so my thoughts are to build two sub towers to go off to the sides of the L/R main Towers, each containing two of the Assassin 8's. It'll mainly be for movies and video games but I'd like the subs to work well with music. I'm looking for something different than sealed or regular ported boxes due to the rather high FS of the Assassin 8's, I've been thinking of an Aperiodic Bi-Chamber (ABC) or Transmission Line bo…

like the title says im planing my new setup and im thinkin either 8 assassin 12s, 6 arsenal15s, or 4 chaos18s. its gonna be for demos and fun not for numbers so if i port its gonna be low and sealed is even a possibility. i have a lil over 30cuft to play with, more if i get creative. electrical is covered im looking to give each sub rms power. im goin for the wow factor. basicly the question is which do you think would be more bad ass to see lol. all opinions are welcome

So I was wondering if i could get some help with someone so i can get the understanding of doing this so i dont have to have help again. PLEASE. The Mayhem is single 12", and in ported can only be in 1.75cf - 3cf. And sub displacement i know nothing of which i do and this is confusing i have 2 sheets of plywood ready to be drawn on, all going to be 1.5" thick unless you think otherwise? Was thinking around 25-35 wide, 15-17" high, 18" deep but the hertz from torres, 12 volt, and RE are all different and confuse me! Could someone make up a thing for me that would work prime around 2-3 cubic ft …
