Well I want to let Scott and the rest of you know that one of my Havoc's is dead after over 150 hits in the last 2 months, since February of 2008, after 10 shows this year doing Bass Boxing and Bass Race, alot of demoing and having 4 SS 6500 on 16 12" and now having 4 CS 5KW's. So I most say I'm a little dissapointed on the product j/k It was funny because I was doing some testing and suddenly I smell coils and I never did before since having this subs in, so I though that they are finally getting some power and that's why they were smelling. Can I use the Havoc 12" woofer in the home? If so what's the difference between a car subwoofer box and a home woofer box? This would be my first home woofer build. What do they mean by shielded/ not shielded?

So I've done my research and found numbers ranging from 1400-2200. Considering I will have 2750 rms on tap for this puppy, I would like to know a more accurate recommendation for daily power handling from either personal/professional experience. My setup is in signature. I ask because I would like set the amp via oscilloscope. I have a tendency to go overboard with everything. Hello All, I am just curious to know what can cause a woofers suspension to weaken? As stated in the thread title this is in reference to a Havoc 12" that I have had for a little over a year. I have never overpowered the sub and have always set the gains properly with an O-scope, and after doing so I have always turned the sub output on my deck way down into the negatives to get it to blend properly with my components. The amps I have used on the sub are the Sundown SAE-1000D, SAE-1200D, and most recently the SAZ-1500D. The box I have been using is two cubic feet tuned to 32Hz. How does the Havoc compare to the BL for SPL, SQ, and playing music low and loud.......looking at 6-8 12's also, would a Havoc take 1500 watts daily?

I ordered from bkolf04 one AA Mayhem 15 d1 (thank you Brian), wired to 0.5 The box will be 5 cu ft, with 70.5 sqin port area, 14.1 sqin / cu ft. tuned to 32Hz 240A of one alternator 2 xs d3100 + one stock under hood. what amplifier do you recomend ? I want to see in that sub 3.5k of clean power. With impendance rise of box what you recomend: one amp with 3.5kw of power to 1 ohm, or 5.5kw power ? For that power i need a litle box with 4 cu ft ? thank you

i saw they had a 3in only 4 layer aluminum voice coil now alot have the 8 layer is this going to make a differnce in performance or anywhere. bc im am prob going to get one!

Can the Mayhems be re-coned, preferably by Fi, to change the impedance? If so, is there a comparable re-cone available that would maintain the stock Mayhem power handling of 2500 rms? Thanks.
