well im sorry to say i wont be able to get a 15" btl. because my wife and i found out were going to have a baby. so i was thinking about an SQ setup. with a 10. probably a Q10. and i am thinking about building a fiberglass box for it.. how would i go about doing this. what size and should it be sealed or have a little port. so i hope to do this. sorry about the btl thing really really wanted to get one of those. so yeah. thanks.

im looking to change my setup. if i go the bl route, my box cuft will be 5-5.4cuft total including port area. if i go btl route, the box will be about the same total. they will be powered by a zx2500 which in the birth certificate says 2700 (if that matters) now i want to know which will be louder. this will be for daily use in my dodge charger. i currently have 2-15" L7's sealed in a 4.2cuft box and it pounds, but i just want to change it up. plus, i have a feeling that i can get louder than it if i go the FI route. thanx im also open to other suggestions.

Does the BL 10" have the same issue as the BTL 10"?

hi know everyone from fi is pretty busy with the new btl line but i ordered a bl 15 about a month ago (april 19) and i still no ups tracking email or sub by mail. i emailed nick a couple times in a row but received no answer. i just want to know if the sub has been sent out or not because it says in the forums that you're supposed to receive a tracking number when the sub is shipped. email is [email protected] if you want to reach me. any news at all would be nice. thx - phil

how would 1 12" ib3 sound running off of a kicker zx500.1 in a ported 2 cubic foot box at 32hz?

I know what the universal option is for but I was wondering does this make the sub weaker? I'm ordering two dual 1s and it says if you don't get the universal option then your sub will be optimized per the coil resistance. Any help would be appreciated.

Right now I have 2 15" Fully loaded Fi BTL's old triple stack magnets. One needs a recone. They are daily versions as well. How do I know if I need to get the flat wind coil or the xmax coil? Assuming I need to get the same as my other one I dont know what it is cause I got it used. Would fully loaded mean mine have the xmax coil? Thanks!

im wanting to get a 15'' BTL and i been researching them and i have seen a lot of comments on how the tinsel leads fry.. why do they do this?? will i be ok with 3,000 watts to my sub or will it eventually fry?

Hey guys I have a couple of questions on the 12 Q's :] And this would be my first set up.(I'm a noob) Are this good SQ speakers with good bump to them? What Sundown amp would be good for this? Or if possible what other amps would be good? I was lookin at the Mmats amps.(I heard there really good) Also would the speakers sound diferent if I order them with BP power? I would be getting both for 518 without BP power wich is a really nice price. Also my box would not be that big for this speakers since I have a toyota celica st but I have a friend in florida that makes custom boxes and he told me that if the enclosure is made good like dimensions, tunning etc it will sound go…

In order to get a ported box just perfect could you just punch in your cubic feet what you are needing in your box, then get the port dimensions and figure up the displacement of this inside of your box and add in sub woofer displacement. After I add these up could I enter my Height, Top and Bottom depth, then using my length as my variable to figure up how many cubic feet I need? In other words say that I have a sub woofer that has a displacement of .11. Then i figure up a port that would displace .2 cubic feet in a box. I'm needing 1.2 cubic feet after sub and port displacement. So the box should be 1.31 cubic feet inside? Here are my two designs http://img.photobucket.…

okay so this maybe a dumb question...but not about to through 260 out the window. just got my Q 12 and the outer layer for the screw holes consists of the surrounding rubber with holes through it, a botttom layer with hole, and a top layer with-OUT hole. i assume i just punch through the top layer with the screw? I know i read this in here somewhere else in someones post but i cant recall what it said and i can't locate it now. thanks in advance kind of eager to begin my upgrade from a flame 1206t to this beast. yeah i bought audiobahn...i was young and dumb.

so this message is to any Fi Car Audio worker so you guys had emailed me stating that it will take another month for my Fi SSD 12 will be sent to me... is there parts missing or is there just a delay in the system and will it really take another month

***Attention Fi Car Audio Staffs!*** This is a notice regarding the future ordering of two Fi BTL Subs. one 15" BTL (dual 2, cooling option, daily, universal) and one 18" BTL (dual 2, cooling, 3rd magnet, HiXmCoil, Daily, universal). I asked my aunt from CA to order it for me because im from the Philippines. I believe she already sent an email to sales -at- ficaraudio.com but im worried that she might not get a reply like from what ive experienced.. Ive got a single sp4 15 in a 5.7 cube box. It just doesnt seem to be as loud as it should. I dont really have a lot of space in the trunk. Right now its ported thru the seat and spose to be tuned to 35hz using round ports. Do i have the ports facing wrong direction cause ive tried a few different things and nothing helped. The usable room in the trunk is 34w 14h and 36d. And help would be great. Im new to this. But i can build a new box if need be

i find out i get canned from on of my jobs today and was kinda depressed and then all of a sudden the doorbell rings. Sure enough it was my brand new 15 " BL's. this made my day possible my week. i totaly forgot i got fired lmao. next week i start my install monday morning first thing. pics wil be up soon after the install

Just to give you guys an idea of a score these can put up... 142.5 outlaw on a Hifonic BXI1206d, stock electric, 4 gauge wire. Done in a 1988 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon. Box was 3.75ft^3. 46Hz. Burp done at 48 Hz. Being it was my first even I got nervouse on the sweep and screwed that, so had no peak freq yet. So Being as my peak was 46 in my old Subaru wagon with a different box I figured it could be round abouts there. At 140ish Dbs my CD player started to skip, so I was stuck rolling the volume and capped at 142.5. Only imagine if I knew my peak and the CD player didnt skip . Just thought I would post the score. Seem's like alot of people are talking about 8's lately you guys should make a SSD 8 and a Q 8, or is the motor to big for a 8?
