I don't know very much about the x 12's and i was looking for some input. how do you guys think 4 x12's would sound in a tahoe with a ported box tuned at 30-32 hz with an epicenter? I will be running somewhere between 1500 to 2500 watts to them.

  5. I ordered my second pair of SP4 15s last friday and today the order status switch to "manual verification required". Im an electrician and work out on the road all week on the current job im on. Nearly impossible for me to get packages at my address, so i had them shipped to my girlfriends house. If someone from Fi wants to vall me, my cell phone # was included with the order. When i ordered my first pair of SP4s i tried to do the same thing and they were shipped to my address anyways. They almost ended up getting sent back. Life on the road...it sucks! So please get ahold of me Fi!

So, all i have exp with are the typical square ports that are commonly seen. I have no idea about these nice little round ports that occasionally pop out at me. Can yall give me some info on these. I kinda like the way they look and am now kinda thinkin of givin them a try on my girls little car. any info would be great. as i said, i have no clue as to anything about them at all.

Im really set on getting a 12 Q but as i saw pictures of it i saw it in very big boxes.I was wondering if one 12 would need the same box size as two(like the picture at the bottom)..this question sounds stupid even to me a newb, but the reason i ask is because i saw a video of a 12 Q with the same box as the one in the picture below the only diffrence is there was only one 12 in the box and not 2.The picture at the bottom is a 2001 maxima just like mine so if you look at it you can roughly tell how much space im working with(kinda since the box is covering the whole trunk)..Also im pretty sure im going to get the 12 Q so i was wondering what would be the best amp for it? i…

Whats up Everyone, Im new to this site, and hope to gain alot of knowledge from you all. I have a 2004 Escalde, and in trying to decide if i should go with 8 BTL 12s or 4 BTL 15s. I have two Soundstream 10000D amps, 8 kinetick 2400 batts, and a 2nd alternator for the additional batteries. I was running the solo x 18 but im ready to add more cone area and go for a different sound as well as move some serious air. Im not trying to build a wall tho. Ive been doing some reading and im hoping that these woofers will give me what i want. Any suggestions would be great appreciated..thanks in advance. G

I already have a set of cdt cl61A's and tw24's amped with a RF 4002 with a 4 gauge kit from kk installed, and am going to get my SSD shortly. I need to know what kit to go with for the next install. Do you think I'd be fine with 4 gauge or do I need to go with a 2 or 1/0 kit? Thanks

Well today i recieved the Dustcap for the Fi X 10 i was going to write a review on, (thanks Scott) and went out to the garage to glue her on so i can get some listening in tomorrow. Welli get out there and my CA glue is rock solid, i havent used it in probably a year so i guess it was time for it to harden up. So i guess i gotta wait now til i can make it down to Hobbytown or somethign to get some glue, as i dotn wanna play it at all without the dustcap because that wont be a "fair" review. Thanks again for the dustcap and the decals Scott, i'll be sure to post up my thoughts when i get it together finally lol. Also whats the price a Fi X 10 goes for normally so i can kn…

My first sealed box for my 2 Q15's was 4.4ft^3. It sounded perfect. Now I have 4 Q15's sealed in 8.6ft^3 (after displacement). It is a little less then half the doulbed volume of the dual sub box. I assumed that my roll off would be nearly identical to my first box, or my tuning would be slightly higher, but it is actually opposite. It peaks at 35hz +/- but rolls off quickly above 40hz, as if the box is too big. Could it be possibe that the specs need to be adjusted do to box size or the amount of subs used? Maybe because it is all a single chamber? Because if this, I am considering doing a box that is about 10ft^3 with 4-5 4" round ports tuned to 34hz. That woul…

Good evening all! What frequencies does the SSD12 with copper coils play the best? I have it in a 1.5^3 ft sealed box and I'm not sure what to set the subsonic filter and the low pass crossover at? I'm powering it with a soundstream rubicon 702 which also has another kind of feature, hawkins bass control. I think it's a combination subsonic filter with booster. Any advice would be great.

  21. I've already seen the tracking information on UPS about the BTL18 and BTL15 that my Aunt ordered for me. I was kinda worried when I saw the shipping weight on both packages. One package weighed at 69lbs which i assumed was the BTL18, while the other weighed in at 55lbs. I was expecting the BTL18 to have a 72lb weight considering that its fully loaded and packaged with wood reinforcements as to having wood reinforcement is very important because im gonna have it shipped to the Philippines together with the BTL15. Im just too concerned about their weight because I was informed that the BTL18 should weigh around 72lbs while the BTL15 should weigh around 69lbs. and im startin…

All I have to do is dodge the wifes eyes when she looks at me and says... What did you Buy Now!! hehe. Im a bit of an audio freak, I started with my home system and have now moved out to the car (at least its not the dog house) I explained to her its just a love of music/audio... like she loves gardening and plants. Cuz shes always like why? I suggest I dont really get the plant thing but I know you love it.. so. Ok.. I guess I didnt need the story, but Ill take some photos and do the install when I get home! YEah! Mike

Also curious about this one. I have had some cheap subs in the past with horrible bass response. How do the BTLs stand up for bass response. I have a friend with RF P3's in their "special" enclosure (the plastic ported box) and I have noticed that a lot of the bass notes are jumbled together and don't stand out from one another. Since the BTL's are some big SPL subs, do they do this as well or are they a little better and letting the notes stand out.
