Hey I am going to be getting 4 of the Fi Qs ( come summer ) and I was looking at getting 2 Soundstream 3500ds to power the 4 18s. What would be the best ohms setup to get on the Qs?

ok well i accidentally sent scott an email about this, my bad, but ill post it on here for you all to read. can you recone a soundstream T4 15. its D2 coils right now, and i think they are 3 inch coils. one seems to be shorting out and smoking up the trunk. if so, how much for a kit shipped to me and how much to send to sub to you to do it? thanks.

Blew my Soundstream T4 15" and was wondering if Fi can recone this? i can get pics if necessary. and how much would that run me approximately?

would two 18 fully loaded BL's take the soundstream xxx-6500 amp? they are ported of course tuned to 35hz with two hifionics clossus one on each, they wang hard as hell. but just wondering if this amp would be too much? it is 4800 at 2 ohms and 6400 at 1 ohm but i have been told they were much stronger than rated but with voltage drop i should be around that range>>> should wang i think

So just bought a sp4 15 was wondering if anyone has done. 4th or 5th order with them and if they sound any good an opinions on boxes

well yesterday was not a good day for me. while sitting at a local grocery store parking lot my sp4 caught on fire in my vehicle and i had to pull the heavy box and sub out of my truck while on fire and ended up going to the ER with 2nd degree burns on my hand. My question is why did this happen? i seen a few things about the new leads that the company uses are breaking off and sparking. i was running a hifonics brz 1700 to the sub so it was a good bit under powered. i emailed fi but that could take a few day to hear back, since this was not my fault and had nothing to do with the sub acting up will FI replace the sub or give me a recone at least? Just wondering opinions. Ive been eyeing both. God the new btl is sexy... but lacks a 4" coil. Which the sp4 has. But isnt as sexy. Running a sundown zv4 18 now and i have the itch for a new sub. It will go on my synergy 35.1. And really wanting to add a second amp and sub down the road. This will be used daily if that helps... opinions? Ive never ran FI but its going to happen if i can make up my mind.

How can I tell the difference between a regular sp4 and one that is fully loaded?

i have a crown vic wonderin if this box will work to get full range for the sub and able to get 32hrz 3FTby 2FT3"by1ft7"? any help i would thank if this box will not work what do u recommend i have a few inches give or take all around?

Hey can someone help me find a sub grill that will work for an Fi Q 12"? The one for my old type R works but im worried about the edges because the FI has that rubber rim that sticks out quit a bit.

got a 15" BL and i bought a cadence amp kit and it came with 12 gauge speaker wire was wondering if that size would be okay or should i got alil bigger?

I ordered a sub With the SPL Option. Someone told me that you could play the sub really loud for short periods of time and it wasnt for just driving around with it loud. But i am now finding out that it isnt like that at all i was wondering if anyone could help explain too me what SPL is.?

Couple quick and dumb questions. This is my first SQ vehicle and I am not sure about a couple things. I know I will be going with Q's, keep hearin these things are amazin. For SQ, what is better, sealed or ported. I was thinkin about maybe 2 12's or 4 10's. any input is good though. I want something that can possibly give me the opportunity for little competitions.

I am waiting on a reply from Nick. I don't see to many people reconing an ssd. How much is a recone kit for an ssd. I need to change to D2's instead of my D1's. I picked up another Zapco Studio 500 and need 4ohm a woofer. Can it have the copper coils and or the flatwound coil on this go around with a stock motor? Is it a kit or just a cone? you know, does it come with glue and shims to locate the coil in the gap, thats sort of stuff. thanks

I read th eoptions explanation for the SSD but i was wondering if the copper coil increases the thermal power handling of the SSD i know flatwind bumps it up to about 1200 but i was possibily thinking about 4 SSD's + copper running off of 4000 rms
