Whats up Everyone, Im new to this site, and hope to gain alot of knowledge from you all. I have a 2004 Escalde, and in trying to decide if i should go with 8 BTL 12s or 4 BTL 15s. I have two Soundstream 10000D amps, 8 kinetick 2400 batts, and a 2nd alternator for the additional batteries. I was running the solo x 18 but im ready to add more cone area and go for a different sound as well as move some serious air. Im not trying to build a wall tho. Ive been doing some reading and im hoping that these woofers will give me what i want. Any suggestions would be great appreciated..thanks in advance. G

Hi everyone, Im from Australia and i really want to order 2 BTL 18's, but i dont know if FI can ship to other countries. I tried emailing them but they havent replied, cos they're too busy or something, but does anyone know if they do ship to other countries?

I have looked up several different options to go with next, right now i have 1 bl 12" with 1 saz1500d. I am used to having just jl, kicker, or rockford stuff, so all this fi and sundown stuff is hard to make a decision. I dont want to have to run another 1500d really, can if really needed. How would 1 1500d run to ssd 18"s, ok, decent?

Hey Nick or Scott ... need some help with an MT, I need a recone by the 4th for a local sound off (if I can get it next-day'd or 3 day guarantee UPS or whatever) but was wondering what options I'd have when it come down to the recone ... I'm throwing ~4k at the sub for burps, I want a dual .7 instead of the dual 1.4 it is now so I can run it at 1.4 or .35 for burps, but suspension/coil wise could it be upgraded? Also as far as the spiders are concerned upgrading to like 5 or 7 layer woven? I sent Nick an email yesterday or the day before ... just need this quick, so I hope it didn't find the spam filter

Okay guys, heres whats up. I just got my Bl in FINALLY (100% worth the wait btw) It has all options including FW coil. Now what i need to know is it bad to touch the voice coil? Upon opening the bl's box, my friend said "the vents in the basket are so big you can touch the voicecoil" and then he did:( ikd if it matters though so can anyone help me out ? I mean he didnt like hurt it or anything im just unsure if like the fingure grease could maybe hurt the coil but I could just be trippin. Any help would be much appreciated ! Thanks

im looking to change my setup. if i go the bl route, my box cuft will be 5-5.4cuft total including port area. if i go btl route, the box will be about the same total. they will be powered by a zx2500 which in the birth certificate says 2700 (if that matters) now i want to know which will be louder. this will be for daily use in my dodge charger. i currently have 2-15" L7's sealed in a 4.2cuft box and it pounds, but i just want to change it up. plus, i have a feeling that i can get louder than it if i go the FI route. thanx im also open to other suggestions.

I was thinking.... Right now I have a 15" BL with an RF T10001BD amp, its loud, very loud. I want a more sensible setup but attempt to keep the same sub output, I don't think its possible. I want small box, small amp, and still be able to do 140s. I know thats not possible. I just want to reclaim my trunk space back and my spare tire and jack!!! With that huge box in my tC there is no more trunk space!!!! Now I am getting kinda tired of hauling around a 100lbs box... Ok I'm done ranting....you may return to your regularly schedule program.

had some broken tinsel leads on a btl. no warranty on these subs, im the 3rd owner, sub was even reconed by someone else before i bought it, and damage had all evidence that looked like user error on my part (which wasnt but i can guarantee you kicker, RF, eclipse etc would use this to save on warranty costs etc) and yet Scott STILL sent me 4 brand new tinsels for the BTL. no cost to me, no shipping cost....nothing. Didn't know if this belonged on the tech page, so here goes. Just recently looked at the SSD 10 and 12". Looks to me they have the same power handling. Anyways Im currenty torn between the two of them. I know I would get 1 with a copper coil but thats it. I would like some more input on both, so I could get a better idea on which version would give me the results I want. Amp I have is an older Memphis 500D. Matt I'm also looking at the SoundSplinter rl-i10 if it matters any.

First, should i get the 2ohm build and wire it down to 1ohm? Or get the 1ohm build? Also,I will be getting a sundown amp, but which one? I think the 1500 will serve it's purpose, won't it?

Just wondering if production has begun on the BL's with 4" voice coils? Ordered my 12" on black Friday so I've very excited about its arrival. Haven't seen anyone posts, pics or info about them on the forums so I'm thinking no one has them yet. ok so today i was on my way home and my sub just quit working. i checked the ohms for the coils and its 1.25 . i checked the wire running from the box (there wired to one ohm). So i thought that it was ok. so i then checked the voltage of the speaker wiring coming from the amp and the volts were jumping up and down. so i then hooked up a ten and it played fine. So my question is what is wrong thanks for the help. my amp is sundown audio 2000d my sub is fi btl12 MY HEADUNIT IS pioneer avic n4
