Just got the BTL fully loaded 18" in. it's in a transmission line box in the back of my envoy XL. taking up all my trunk space along with the removal of the third row. being powered with Audio Que's 2200D amp. was wondering what comps i should be looking at for my doors and im putting a row of 6x9's facing forward behind the headrests of the second row on top of the box for some extra midbass. was wondering if anyone could give me a hand? not looking to spend over 300 for each set of comps and ill drop probably around the same for the 6x9 pairs. i've been looking at the kappa perfect 6.1's by infinity and audioque's component sets. thanks for the help. -d.kish

I order a Q 12 from fi on the 17th of April. It been over 33 business day since I ordered my sub. Then FedEx sent me a shipment email saying that it would arrive on the 24th of April. I knew that was not correct. So I wait until June 12 before I emailed agin. No reply till last Thursday. When I got the email the said it said sub was being shipped and that FedEx would be sending me a tracking number? So I email them Friday asking about my tracking number and still no reply. I just want to know where my sub is.

how do you all think a 18 BTL would sound in a 1992 lincoln town car??? i used to have 2 12" kicker l7's how would the BTL compare to those thankls

Like the title says, I was wondering if there are pumping losses or air noise exiting from the cooling channels or the like thanks. Just to be clear, I'm only curious about bp power option only, let's just say the sub was inverted for reference.

Well I just got my 2 BL 18s and my SSD 12.... They look great... well 2 of um do but UPS threw the one 18 around a little too much and broke the box and scratched the sub grrrrr!. But wow they do look pretty good I will get pics up soon my g/f has my cam so when I get it back I will post. THANKS FI!!!

I am waiting on a reply from Nick. I don't see to many people reconing an ssd. How much is a recone kit for an ssd. I need to change to D2's instead of my D1's. I picked up another Zapco Studio 500 and need 4ohm a woofer. Can it have the copper coils and or the flatwound coil on this go around with a stock motor? Is it a kit or just a cone? you know, does it come with glue and shims to locate the coil in the gap, thats sort of stuff. thanks

if you are going to use 2 10" FI subs in 1 box with 1 port does the port still use 16 sq in per cf? or does it double to 32 sq in? what would be optimal for 2 10" BL's Also would 2 10" BL's @ 1500 rms each be louder than 1 10" BTL @ 3000 rms? Hey Nick or Scott ... need some help with an MT, I need a recone by the 4th for a local sound off (if I can get it next-day'd or 3 day guarantee UPS or whatever) but was wondering what options I'd have when it come down to the recone ... I'm throwing ~4k at the sub for burps, I want a dual .7 instead of the dual 1.4 it is now so I can run it at 1.4 or .35 for burps, but suspension/coil wise could it be upgraded? Also as far as the spiders are concerned upgrading to like 5 or 7 layer woven? I sent Nick an email yesterday or the day before ... just need this quick, so I hope it didn't find the spam filter

well im sorry to say i wont be able to get a 15" btl. because my wife and i found out were going to have a baby. so i was thinking about an SQ setup. with a 10. probably a Q10. and i am thinking about building a fiberglass box for it.. how would i go about doing this. what size and should it be sealed or have a little port. so i hope to do this. sorry about the btl thing really really wanted to get one of those. so yeah. thanks.

had some broken tinsel leads on a btl. no warranty on these subs, im the 3rd owner, sub was even reconed by someone else before i bought it, and damage had all evidence that looked like user error on my part (which wasnt but i can guarantee you kicker, RF, eclipse etc would use this to save on warranty costs etc) and yet Scott STILL sent me 4 brand new tinsels for the BTL. no cost to me, no shipping cost....nothing. amp RF T30001bd sub 1 18" BTL Fully Loaded Enclosure? I dont want to go to big while giving it this much power. Should i do 6 or 7cu ft I was thinking 7cubes with around 90sqin of port?

So I have been checkin out his posts and now I am curious. What would be "louder" in an overall sense....4 10" Q's sealed or 2 12" Q's ported. I have no exp what so ever with sealed enclosures and would like to know the answer to this. I know the 10's win with overall surface area, but will the ported cause much more SPL than the 4 10's? Any advice on this would be great cause I have been thinkin about it for quite some time now and it is driving me nuts. Side Note: Probably use a RF4000.1 to 4 10's or Kicker2500.1 or such for 2 12's. THANKS

Any chance that enough of these have been done that you guys could send out a recone kit or would I have to send the motor in? I am not happy with the power handling offered by the TC Sounds top assembly.

Does the BL 10" have the same issue as the BTL 10"?
