Also which sub would be best to get for an overall better sub? The fully loaded BTL18 or the RE MX18? the mx looks mean but both seem like good subs.

I was talkin to a box builder last night...He gave me some good advice. My main goal is a LSQ system...He said go with a FI Q 18...i was like have you heard one...he said yeah...in a sealed box. He said it would sound better than the same woofer in a ported. This is what he relayed to me from an installer friend of his. I was like ok... He said go 18 inch Q sealed 4 cu ft.....i was like how bout 7 cu. ft ported tuned to 30 hz... I was thinking would it make a BIG NOTICABLE differance on an 18 inch Q...in those box dimensions...its an 18inch sub...thats pretty big... or should i go with the 15...?(for LSQ)

Hello! Im thinking bout having a Q or a Bl 15! I want to use it daily with 1250watts@1ohm! Which one will be louder (im not that sq man lol ) Im listening to dirty south hip hop(because off the nice low frequencies) Also i want to know how many liters the enclosures will have (as well for the 18Q or Bl). Just wanna say thanks and great build on my fully loaded 15" BTL. Everything looks great and top notch. Shipping was fast, packaging was great and I think it goes without saying the sub is awesome. Did you just recently start putting the little black felt pads on the bottom of the cone for the tinsel slap? Thanks again for the service and the sub.

i have a kicker zx1000.1 which is rated at 1258 watts at 2ohms. and i was wondering if this will be plenty of power for a daily setup with only the pole chamfer on the sub, o and i listen to rap 99% of the time, so im thinkin that this will be fine, and im also leaning a little more towards the spl side over sq im goin to bulid a box soon for it, it will be 4cu. ft. @ 32hz, dont know the exact dimensios but i will know soon thanks

hey, i am curious as to why some people want to recone one size sub with another size, like 18 reconed like a 15. I have seen numerous threads about this and am just very curious as to what this accomplishes in the end. Thanks

well starting to think of a set up for next year going to maybe wall off the bug. Not sure if I want to go with 2 BTL18 with 2500RMS each or 2 15BTL on the same power. I compete in street beat and with 1 btl18 I do 145 but want a little more. With the 2 15's I would stay in the same class and should be louder box would end up at around 12-16cf before displacements. so from the experts here which would seem better I am leaning to the 15's. Is it possiable to recone a 18 to a 15 if I go to the 15's this would be nice.

We got my box finished up at 3 A.M. this morning. I didn't build it myself, but paid an installer who has did work for me before. The box is right at 8ft^3 and tuned to 33hz with 120^2 inches of port area. All i currently have is a Kenwood amp that puts out 900 watts to push the subs. THe subs have the copper coil option and I was defintely expecting them to be louder and lower than my previous 15" L7 ran off the same amp. Well, they exceeded my expectations! Which amp would you guys and girls use if you had a fully loaded 10" ssd????

im kinda mad about my first run score for my loaded BTL 15 its runnen off about 1200 watts right now and my amp can max 1600 i have a stock ALT. (80 amps) now but my new 200 amp alt on the way! its 4.1 cubes with two 4"flared ports on the side tuned to 35hz FIRST with a 137.1 NOW tuned to 40 with a 139.2 MAX i have NO room for a bigger box! any suggestions? Porting? will the new alt. help tremendously or just very little?

How much does it weight? Trying to design specifics of the box and I want to know if I should get screws or bolts. At what weight would bolts be a better choice?

I will be building a box for 2 18" BTLs in a Tahoe. The subs will point up of course, but what about the port. Should I port up or back? I am not to sure as this is my first build for an SUV. I have heard back before, but have seen some greats like Meade do both and am unsure myself. Lastly, do you think this setup will hit real hard. Lookin for some pretty high numbers, as is everyone probably is though.
