I have a 3500d series DD motor, that needs a recone, the basket originally was a 4 spoke 15, but was damaged and tossed, i still have the black plastic spacer but only one of the screws to connect the basket. so possibilities of turning it in to an 18? and cost? 3 inch coil, int. leads, extra spider, new basket and screws.

Hi there guys, I was wondering if someone could help me out. I've placed my order a little over a week ago and Paypal is still processing my payment. I wanted to change my dustcap to the Brushed alluminum instead of the white. My order number is I-17454/00.

So i'm in the middle of building my box, i used torres tuning calculator along with sketchup to design the box, i'm 98% done with it and realized that my Hz may change due to the fact i'm using a center divider. currently my specs are, 2 12in Fi BL's 3/4in MDF Outside Measurements Height-15 Width-34 Depth-20 Center Divider- 18.5 x 13.5 Inner Port Dimensions Height-13.5 Width-2.5 Length-17.75 Those specs give 32Hz overall "if" i use them in Torres Tuning Calculator, now im a little upset cause i think im gonna be starting from scratch again being i added the center divider, if i split the width in half to make up for the center divider i get stuck with 51Hz If …

After applying ca glue and forming to basket, how long do you let it sit? How many clamps do you use to get best results? Any other procedures that you've used that yield really good results?

Hey guys, just wanted a little input on which sub will suit me best. I have a 2003 Buick Lesabre, stock alt for now, 0 gauge throughout, optima yellow top, and a SAZ1500D. I like to listen to mostly rap. I currently have a sundown z15 v.1 in a 3 cubic foot box tuned to 34hz. I like the sundown sub, but I want something that pounds harder and louder! I am looking at 3 different 12" subs. FI BTL fully loaded, Sundown Nightshade, or SSA XCON. Now keep in mind whichever one I choose now, I will be getting a second one down the road for a total of 2. If anyone has ever made a box for a 2000-2005 lesabre let me know because i am trying to build a box that ports through the arm …

I have an 18'' Q and I saw that you recomend 6 to 10 cubic feet. What would be the difference in having a box that was 6 cubic feet rather than 10 cubic feet. I was going to tune to 28hz and I listen to country, rock, and rap about all equally. Will the smaller box change on how the sub performs and sounds? Also what's a good idea on how much port area to have. I always get told different answers. Some say 10 inches per cubic foot than some say 12, 15, 16, etc. Thanks

Buddy is torn between these setups. Obviously one requires 2k more power. Aside from that, everything else is pretty close. I think that the ssds wont be much louder for all the extra work - any other opinions?

I received my Q12 last week and finally had sometime this weekend to install it. It's in a 1995 Ford Thunderbird in a ported enclosure tuned to 32hz. It's running off a cadence TXA1000D. Door speakers are Infinity Kappa 682.7 (6x8 2ways...i know, i know...haha) and those are running off of a RF P400.4...Got everything hooked up sunday afternoon and all I have to say is "wow." I've owned a couple of other systems before, but this Q takes them all...hands down. It gets LOUD and still, it doesnt lose ANY quality! My roommate has to cover his ears when i crank it...(hes a girl though...haha) I've shown a couple of kids on campus who have "5000 watt" systems in their car…

I had them turned off a while back and then some how or another they got turned on again and we've magically got space for 500 private messages...that I don't want to have in the first place. Please just email me. Nick " at " ficaraudio.com Thanks!

I used the search feature and all i can find is threads where people want a recone. Questions: 1. Is there a link to something that explains exactly what a recone is 2. What are the benefits? 3. When do you know when you need a recone?

You all might be wondering why I would post this in the Fi section, so i'll just let the pictures do the talking: So far, all panels have been cut and port areas have been painted. The plexi front panel will have a Fisher Custom logo CNC machined on it as well. To follow the build over on CA.com: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=284556

My pre-09 SSD motors have "custom sealed" written on the top of the motor. Does this mean they have the high qts option? They are also copper coils. Any input?
