A while back I posted a topic about one of my subs having a softer suspension than the other and I knew this would happen because one was bought like several weeks before the other but figured eventually they both should level out to have the same stiffness of suspension but that isn't the case. After doing some testing last night a couple of buddies of mines who happens to be a serious competitors bought it to my attention and said it may cause somethings such as cancellation or something then again it may be nothing but you never know. I am having the hardest time deciding on a sub/amp combo for my new car. I am putting this in a trunk so space is a factor. I'd like to retain some space. The poll lists some of my top choices. I'm also considering porting a Q 15 with one of the amps listed or even porting the SSDs if I decide I can live without a little less trunk space. So my question to you would be if you were looking for LSQ, which of these setups would you choose? If you would do something else, please tell me what that would be. Just FYI, the electrical you would be working with is a stock electrical featuring a 130 amp alternator.

i bought a 10 q back in mid feb and i have had no problems until now i have had two lead wires break in the past two weeks i soldered them both back on but one has broke again and now there is not enough lead wire to reach the terminal

so i got my new btl 18 and i love it. I was not expecting it to have so much output but still keep its sound quality. Love it guys so keep doing what you do. So here is the box i built for it this last weekend. 7 cubes with disp tuned right round 34 htz. Most corners 45 with fiberglass with double baffle. The sub is ran off a Hifonics gx3000, and the set up is in a 1998 chevy astro... more 18s to come soon

Hello, i am wondering if FI car audio can sell me a voice coil. I have all the neccessary parts for my 15" dayton audio MK3 recone but the vc. pierceaudioproducts sent me the wrong one, and when i reordered they didnt get it in. anyway the simpl specs are 2.5" diameter, 3" height, 2" winding, Dual 4 ohm impedience. i would also be fine with single as long as it is powerfull. I emailed FI but i havnt recieved a reply yet, so i thought i would try here. I am trying to get the caliper measurements for it. ALSO, i have various 2.5" voice coils and various spiders, baskets, etc., if anyone is intersested please say so. Thanks

i pluged it up to my home cd player and it was playing for about 12 seconds and my cd player like cut off and restarted so i unplug'd it realy quick like. Did i mess up my sub. It looks fine and doesnt smell burn or anything soooo???? was it just the cd player..

Hey all im from northeast PA, and I would really like to hit up some competitions soon. I won my last one in Oct with my BTL hit 143.3 on tl at the dash. Loudest of every car there. It was on music. I really goto a couple other comps so if somone could let me know of any coming around soon i dont mind drivin a lil bit to get to one.

I am hoping that all of you with more experience in the car audio world can help me out. I am designing a home theater installation for a friend. My friend has never heard an I.B. (Infinite Baffle) sub but he plays guitar and has mucho experience with car subs. He is of the firm opinion that 15" and 18" subs cannot hit like 10" and 12" subs. I am recommending an I.B. sub installation, using 4 Q18's in 2 manifolds mounted in the attic, with each manifold having 2 drivers mounted on opposite sides but facing in the same direction and wired out of phase, for that extra 2nd harmonic cancellation. hi Guys, I havent posted here in a while, but i am in need of some guidance. I just ordered 3 hifonics BX1606d's or whatever the numbers are.... Now i have to order some subs, I can't decide between Q's and BL's. I have no idea what all the options are for on the bl's and if someone could explain all of them that would be awesome. I was planning on putting 1 of the hifonics on each, and i also need some advice on box size, tuning etc. SQ is not really a concern of mine, and i have made all the electrical upgrades to the car so everything will work with the power.
