I just got my 12" Fi Q. This is my first quality subwoofer, hooray! Just a quick question. On both sides of voice coil, there are + and - springs, total of 4. This is dual 2 ohm, wiring down to 1 ohm load. It is my understanding to do this, you run positive wire to positive, from one coil to the other, then negative to negative. But then, what? How does it hook up to the enclosure. Do I run the wire in parallel from one side of sub to other, then run a wire from one side into the enclosure? I looked for diagrams, but none were clear exactly how I run the wire from sub to enclosure. Thanks in advance.

Im ordering a 15" BL. what would be the best enclosure? my maximum dimensions are length = 24" depth = 19" height = basically anything but a ridiculous size. i was thinking maybe 18" but it can go way high obviously. is it best to max the dimensions out or stay within the 2.8 - 4.0 cubic foot range? and for my port it says 12-16 square inches per cubic feet. again, should i stay between there or would it be better if i go bigger? bigger is always better right? haha. HELP!

im just wandering if its possible to fit 4 18's ssd's in a non-wall explorer XLT? granted, i know you cant just go out try it out, but i know alot of you guys have big suvs, and might have an idea. right now i have a range rover and i know i couldnt fit 24 cubes in there. any input is appreciated and i dont mind taking the backseat out but i really dont want to do a wall. the explorer XLT would be a later model like mid 90's if that changes anything

Okay.. Heres the deal, I just finished a box for one 15, I made the box to be ready for the bl 15 or a btl, but with the free cooling going on for the wait time on the btl I have decided that i want the btl kinda, but I still need some help deciding what i should go for. Reason being i have all stock electrical other than new alt (not HO tho)... Also my current amp is only a bxi 1200.1D so im not sure if it would be bad to underpower the btl even tho i would be getting a new amp for it, just not right away. I do have sound deadening out of the way already So what should i do get the bl and upgrade my electrical while i wait to get it? Or, Get the btl and upg…

Couple quick and dumb questions. This is my first SQ vehicle and I am not sure about a couple things. I know I will be going with Q's, keep hearin these things are amazin. For SQ, what is better, sealed or ported. I was thinkin about maybe 2 12's or 4 10's. any input is good though. I want something that can possibly give me the opportunity for little competitions.

Hey guys, I just ordered my Image Dynamic components and now I'm starting to look into my subwoofer setup. I've narrowed it down to three choices. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop, but I do like alternative every now and then. Here are the three setups that've really stood out to me. 1) 2 12" Fi SSD's powered by a Cadence DCA 1600.1 in a ported box to specs. 2) 2 12" Image Dynamics IDQv3's in a sealed encolsure powered by a AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. 3) 2 12" AudioQue SDC2.5's in a ported box powered by an AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. I'm really trying to get loud but still have some sound quality. I'm not trying to have to upgrade my alternator ei…

Well I just bought a used Fi BTL locally and now I want to rep it with some pride. Im thinking of buying a hoodie since i need one, but does anyone if they run large or small? If you have purchased one let me know. Just curious as what I need to get. To Fi. get some zip up hoodies I'm fairly confident this would be the right place to put this. Also im getting a sticker, where doi u think would be the best mounting point. I am thinking bottom driver side back window. I have a silver 07 grand prix. So i was thinking sticking with silver. Just a light thread no need to crunch numbers etc. Just some opinions.

I know you guys are going to SBN, but when you get a chance can you check your emails. I have another "order" to place with you for the custom IB subs I am working on. Also, is there an easy way to get ahold of Chad K. (I've tried the phone recently - to no avail)? Thanks and have a great time in the sun & sand. JP

I was interested in purchasing the BL 12 subwoofer with all additional options. I currently drive a Honda Civic 2 door and don't have a lot of trunk space to work with, specifically 16" height X 32" depth X 30"+ inches of width. I wanted to know what the smallest possible enclosure dimensions could be for a ported box, with the box tuned at 33 hz with roughly 2 cubic feet. I am planning on running a Kenwood X1200M, which is 1200 watts @ 2 ohms, which should be sufficient for the sub, right? Also, is there an advantage in running my sub at 2 ohms instead of 1? Specific dimensions and instructions would be appreciated as I am a rookie in the field of car audio. Thanks.

Alright, so we're looking at a street beater type car here. I'll probably be running the 1500D @ 1/2 an ohm, which puts me somewhere over 1500 watts. Now as I understand it, the SSD tends to accentuate the low-lows, while not being as loud on the higher lows. How does the Q stack up to that? I'm looking for a sub that will get loud, and get low. Then, I'm not adverse to a sealed box, but I was wondering how much it will reduce my SPL. As mentioned above, I like to get loud. Sealed looks particularly enticing because of the smaller box needed.

Finally got around to videoing my 15" Fi SSDs once I got them proper power.. Am running them off of 1600 watts now.. They are in a 8ft^3 net enclosure tuned to 33hz.. You can tell how they slaughter the lows from the videos..The flex is still much more noticeable in person than it is in the videos.. These dudes move some air!
