I've got 2 x 18in BL's going into a wall and was wondering how big to make the port. The way it sits now, there's about 10.5 cu per sub. How much port/port area should i have. It is for daily booming and bass race.

I am looking to send in a RE HC motor that I just purchased. I have talked to Scott several times about this before and I just wanted to give him a heads up that the motor is on its way to him and should arrive by the end of the week. Hopefully I can talk to him prior to it being delivered..

Does any one have a design that they could /would share for a single BL slot ported at around 30hz? Thanks all! David

I'm thinking of going with a 15" Q for these, powered by a Sundown SAZ-1000D So I've been messing with the RE calculator and think I have come up with a couple of designs. I just want to make sure all the numbers are right on these and see some opinions on which one is better. I like the first one more, sub up port back, does that design output well? How do you make the horizontal and vertical 45's come together smoothly? Also, would the first box fit a 15" BL? I know the second one doesn't have the airspace for a BL which is another reason I like the first one. Im ordering a 15" BL. what would be the best enclosure? my maximum dimensions are length = 24" depth = 19" height = basically anything but a ridiculous size. i was thinking maybe 18" but it can go way high obviously. is it best to max the dimensions out or stay within the 2.8 - 4.0 cubic foot range? and for my port it says 12-16 square inches per cubic feet. again, should i stay between there or would it be better if i go bigger? bigger is always better right? haha. ordered my 12" BL tuesday 11-27 and the UPS man delivered it this past thursday 12-06 i must say that was rather quick, and the sub was packaged great! :beer: for all those who had part in getting my new baby here safely... guys at Fi, UPS, everyone lol

So i recently bought a basic Q 12 and thouroughly enjoy it. i have a mono ma audio amp that runs at 800 rms. Question is ... would it be beneficial to upgrade the amp? could possibly get a deal on last years brutus 1206d or look for something different. dont think i could swing a sundown. what rms would you run a q 12 at?

How long does it usually take for turn around on emails? I've sent one to the sales and recone emails for Fi over a week ago and haven't heard anything. I had the problem with the aluminum plug busting through the dust cap and am hoping to get it fixed soon as i've been going after this for about a month now. Austin

I have always prefered sealed systems. They always got loud enough, and were easy to build. I just got a D2 Cu voice coil SSD for the wifes car. I have it in a 1.3cuft net box. Approx 1000w available, but its not all being utilized. I feel like I am pushing the sub to its limits, but it's not as loud as it should be. The install is only 2 days old...will SSD's get louder as they break in, like other woofers? I know the alum coil can handle more power, and is peakier....but will it be louder? I think the next step will be a ported box.

Finally got around to videoing my 15" Fi SSDs once I got them proper power.. Am running them off of 1600 watts now.. They are in a 8ft^3 net enclosure tuned to 33hz.. You can tell how they slaughter the lows from the videos..The flex is still much more noticeable in person than it is in the videos.. These dudes move some air! I was wondering if someone knew the measurements of the FI t shirts and hoodies? I've emailed them 2 and still no respond I am a 6+ft tall male and im either a size L, XL, or XXL. (most likey bigger then a L) I need the horizontal and vertical measurements as well as the sleeve length, thank you!
