I have ordered a 10 ssd sealed Qts. Looking to build a custom sealed box for my 2010 camaro. Since i want it to be as small as possible, I am looking at doing 15" w by 11"h by 9"d. Do these dimensions make sense? Would a different shape or size make the sub play better? Thanks

im just wandering if its possible to fit 4 18's ssd's in a non-wall explorer XLT? granted, i know you cant just go out try it out, but i know alot of you guys have big suvs, and might have an idea. right now i have a range rover and i know i couldnt fit 24 cubes in there. any input is appreciated and i dont mind taking the backseat out but i really dont want to do a wall. the explorer XLT would be a later model like mid 90's if that changes anything

I just got my 12" Fi Q. This is my first quality subwoofer, hooray! Just a quick question. On both sides of voice coil, there are + and - springs, total of 4. This is dual 2 ohm, wiring down to 1 ohm load. It is my understanding to do this, you run positive wire to positive, from one coil to the other, then negative to negative. But then, what? How does it hook up to the enclosure. Do I run the wire in parallel from one side of sub to other, then run a wire from one side into the enclosure? I looked for diagrams, but none were clear exactly how I run the wire from sub to enclosure. Thanks in advance.

Howdy, I'm looking to pick up the fully loaded BTL 12 dual 1 ohms. Simple questions: What amps would you fine folks push it with? Typically I'd go with a pair of subs, but I'm not confident a ported enclosure would fit in the back of an 09 Challenger without swallowing up the entire trunk. Any suggestions?

I want to put 4 15's in my truck and have no clue what to do. I love SPL and would like to do small competitions. The big problem is what to I go with. All in all, what is the huge difference between the BTL and BL, other than power. About how much of a difference will I notice between the two. Finally, I am a daily driver, so overall, which will be more benificial for me. I am lookin right now more at the BL due to price. So, about how great do they sound, esp running 4 15's??? thanks for the help guys......

How long does it usually take for turn around on emails? I've sent one to the sales and recone emails for Fi over a week ago and haven't heard anything. I had the problem with the aluminum plug busting through the dust cap and am hoping to get it fixed soon as i've been going after this for about a month now. Austin

I decided to sell my old 12's and go with a single 12 inch install. Im looking at the 12" SSD dual 2 ohm. IM looking to build a single ported box to replace my dual 12 ported box in my civic. I have a memphis mono 1000D for an amp. I decided to not go with a man stream name like i have in the past and try something new and have heard nothing but good things about FI. So any help on this subject would be aprreciated. I mainly listen to rap and metal. Also i was wondering if my 1000D memphis would be a good match for this sub and also i was curious about about how much does a 12 inch SSD weigh? total or magnet weight? Thanks

Couple quick and dumb questions. This is my first SQ vehicle and I am not sure about a couple things. I know I will be going with Q's, keep hearin these things are amazin. For SQ, what is better, sealed or ported. I was thinkin about maybe 2 12's or 4 10's. any input is good though. I want something that can possibly give me the opportunity for little competitions.

So I've been bumping two American Bass XD 10's powered by a mmats 1400.1 amp. I think I just burned up one of the subs so I obviously want to replace. I want something louder. My system hit 153.2db and that's with two 10's. I like American Bass's products but the VFL's are 1500wrms each and I don't want to buy another amp. I'm looking at the Fi subs and specifically the IB3 12's. Anybody have them? They're 50wrms each more then XD's (500wrms each). The amps 1400wrms @ 1 ohm so I don't want anything that's more then 650wrms each. Reccomend another sub? Thanks =)

I'm thinking of going with a 15" Q for these, powered by a Sundown SAZ-1000D So I've been messing with the RE calculator and think I have come up with a couple of designs. I just want to make sure all the numbers are right on these and see some opinions on which one is better. I like the first one more, sub up port back, does that design output well? How do you make the horizontal and vertical 45's come together smoothly? Also, would the first box fit a 15" BL? I know the second one doesn't have the airspace for a BL which is another reason I like the first one. In case by the time I order I decide to go with a BL (I'm very indecisive) This is going in a hatchback (2003 H…

Alright, so we're looking at a street beater type car here. I'll probably be running the 1500D @ 1/2 an ohm, which puts me somewhere over 1500 watts. Now as I understand it, the SSD tends to accentuate the low-lows, while not being as loud on the higher lows. How does the Q stack up to that? I'm looking for a sub that will get loud, and get low. Then, I'm not adverse to a sealed box, but I was wondering how much it will reduce my SPL. As mentioned above, I like to get loud. Sealed looks particularly enticing because of the smaller box needed.

  20. Finally got around to videoing my 15" Fi SSDs once I got them proper power.. Am running them off of 1600 watts now.. They are in a 8ft^3 net enclosure tuned to 33hz.. You can tell how they slaughter the lows from the videos..The flex is still much more noticeable in person than it is in the videos.. These dudes move some air! Hey guys, I just ordered my Image Dynamic components and now I'm starting to look into my subwoofer setup. I've narrowed it down to three choices. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop, but I do like alternative every now and then. Here are the three setups that've really stood out to me. 1) 2 12" Fi SSD's powered by a Cadence DCA 1600.1 in a ported box to specs. 2) 2 12" Image Dynamics IDQv3's in a sealed encolsure powered by a AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. 3) 2 12" AudioQue SDC2.5's in a ported box powered by an AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. I'm really trying to get loud but still have some sound quality. I'm not trying to have to upgrade my alternator ei…

I am getting my new FI Q 12" on Tuesday and want to have everything set up and ready to go when it comes so I can hook it up and go without fiddling with settings on amp or cd player. I need to tune my amp and will not take it to a shop to get charged for something I can do. My question is how to properly tune my amp without an oscilliscope, or hooking my sub up. I want to be able to somewhat tune it with the sub unhooked as I want to properly break the sub in and cannot do that by tuning my amp with the sub hooked up. Once I have the sub broke in, then I will fine tune my amp to the sub w/ it hooked up, but until then how will I have it tuned pretty close w/ hooking …
