I used the search feature and all i can find is threads where people want a recone. Questions: 1. Is there a link to something that explains exactly what a recone is 2. What are the benefits? 3. When do you know when you need a recone?

well i ordered 2 btls friday night, i got a pay pal verification, order confirmation from fi, then i got this wierd e mail that i havent seen before : i did not recieve this emauil when i purchased my Q so i wanted to check it out. is it legit. thanks for any help

looks like 2 sets on the recone which have woven tinsels, which is awesome... but i have questions how to get them soldered... of course im not doing it my self.... just questions on it.

Alright plan on re-building the box and I may try this. Remember my trunk is extremely sealed off, I have computers and what not all on behind the rear seat and with the panel off it doesn't let much air intot he car. Anyways, I want to face the subs the same way, towards the back and have the port facing up and into the car. It would be built so the port goes directly into the rear deck. How you guys think that will work?

i was planning on picking up a soundstream pcx 2000d and i was wondering if the fully loaded bl would be ok on 2000 watts

After applying ca glue and forming to basket, how long do you let it sit? How many clamps do you use to get best results? Any other procedures that you've used that yield really good results?

I was interested in purchasing the BL 12 subwoofer with all additional options. I currently drive a Honda Civic 2 door and don't have a lot of trunk space to work with, specifically 16" height X 32" depth X 30"+ inches of width. I wanted to know what the smallest possible enclosure dimensions could be for a ported box, with the box tuned at 33 hz with roughly 2 cubic feet. I am planning on running a Kenwood X1200M, which is 1200 watts @ 2 ohms, which should be sufficient for the sub, right? Also, is there an advantage in running my sub at 2 ohms instead of 1? Specific dimensions and instructions would be appreciated as I am a rookie in the field of car audio. Thanks.

Well I received my recone today and its the right model, but wrong impedance. I asked for a dual 1 and you shipped me a dual 2 Q 15. I posted on the forum as soon as I received my tracking # as it looked like the wrong ref. # because it said D2. I don't know what else I could have done to try to prevent this from happening. This is really rediculous that you guys can't get this right. Simple logistics starting from your ordering to your picking/shipping can't be done correctly. not sure if you guys are just extremely busy and not being able to get to the emails but i would like to purchase 4 replacement btl leads for a 15" btl. i sent 2 emails titles "ATTN SCOTT HELP ASAP" like you told the other guys to do that wanted to buy some btl leads. it has all my info in there, including address, sub model and options on it, my email adress, and my phone number, as well as what im inquiring about, which is the btl leads. just not sure if you guys recieved it. thanks George

Just built my enclosure for my 12 that is going to arrive on tuesday. Vented box is 2.48 cu ft tuned to 32.2hz question is which side of the face should i place the sub in? furthest from the vent possible, in the middle, near the vent? I havent cut out the hole yet, so i figured ide ask while i have time also, how much volume will the sub consume so that i know exactly how much cu/ft i am working with? little interested to hear the sub, every thread i keep reading tells people to buy the BL if you want any kind of spl. Im not going for spl at all, i just enjoy loud low bass with no intention to compete. Beginning to think maybe i should have opted for the BL instead..…

hey i have a 15" BL and im in the market for a good amp.. i was looking at the Hifonics amps. are the alright?? they put out alot and they on the cheaper side..or should i just go big and get a good alpine or kicker i was looking at the Hifonics BXi2006D it puts out 1300wrms at 1 channel is that good enough heres the link i found it http://store.realmofexcursion.com/ if someone could help that would be great any suggestions or anything like that =Thanks

Ok so it has been 10 days seince I ordered an fi q 18 and I have not received a update on shiping information. Is fi backed up or is somthin up with ups?

I have US Amp's MD.3D amp (2000 watts output), would it be necessary to add BP Power for this setup? Or will i be ok? Is there a differance in SQ or sound output without BP Power?
