I'm ordering a Fi BL 12 and want to know when it asks if I want a hyper pole, or want it universal, what does that mean?

Hey guys! First off, I am new here and already love it. I have heard great things about Fi and decided to run with them in my next setup. I listen to, well, almost all rap and I want to compete for the first time with my new setup and am not sure what to run with. This is going in a blow through so I have a decent amount of room to play with. I am not sure what I would be better off doing in a setup. Right now I am kinda torn between doing something like 4 12's sealed (probably Q's) versus someting like 2 15" BTLs ported. I want to get super stupid loud. Wanting to try 2 BL 18's and will have about 1600wrms going to each sub. Is that too much? if not, which options should i select for them to perform well with that much power. It will be a daily beater/bass racer..box will probably be around 10 cubes net crx style with about 150 sq inches of port if this helps at all.

Ok the title makes it look a little dramatic sorry...but I do need some help/advice here. well, after reading on this forum for quite awhile, and few other forums, i decided to join this one, and went to the FI site and bought a 12" BL D2 with cooling, flatwind, daily with the universal option just in case i decide to run 2. Hopefully by next week i will order my sundown 1500. Sub is going in an 86 chevy c-10 regular cab, in a center console box. Will post pics when it arrives, i am very excited. As only thing around here is kicker, alpine, JL, fosgate and mtx.

I am going to be purchasing a 15 Fi Q, and powering it with a Sundown Audio SAE-1200D. I wanted to ask what ohm sub I should order and if the BP option is a good choice. The amp does 1200x1 @ 1 ohm. i was going to build a 2.5ft sealed enclosure, suggestions? im rollin a 94 s10 blazer. thanks homies.

Okay.. Heres the deal, I just finished a box for one 15, I made the box to be ready for the bl 15 or a btl, but with the free cooling going on for the wait time on the btl I have decided that i want the btl kinda, but I still need some help deciding what i should go for. Reason being i have all stock electrical other than new alt (not HO tho)... Also my current amp is only a bxi 1200.1D so im not sure if it would be bad to underpower the btl even tho i would be getting a new amp for it, just not right away. I do have sound deadening out of the way already So what should i do get the bl and upgrade my electrical while i wait to get it? Or, Get the btl and upg…

Just givin some scores at the local competition the USACI put on at the NOPI Import Faceoff in Montgomery, Alabama yesterday. I took 1st in 1001-2000 modified with a 147.2. Metered in passenger kick panel sealed up. I did not like the placement of the mic due to the fact my system is geared towards the windshield!!!! I also took 1st in super port wars with a 162.8. Not bad scores with dead cells in my battery under hood. metering 11.5 volts in the back at 2200 rpm. Replacing battery tomorrow. I put my back yellowtop under hood today and metering 15.8v in the back. I'm running 2 18" btl's with 1 rockford t20001bd. I was placed in modified because my box was 2" above windo…

Also curious about this one. I have had some cheap subs in the past with horrible bass response. How do the BTLs stand up for bass response. I have a friend with RF P3's in their "special" enclosure (the plastic ported box) and I have noticed that a lot of the bass notes are jumbled together and don't stand out from one another. Since the BTL's are some big SPL subs, do they do this as well or are they a little better and letting the notes stand out.

Howdy everyone. I have pretty limited experience with car audio and I was looking for some opinions on what I had in mind for my next build. (I just blew my old subs, not too sure how, but they were junk anyway.) I was looking at the SSD 15". I'm going to make a custom box thats going to be right around 4 cubic feet after displacement and tuned to 33hz. The amp I'm looking at is the Rockford Fosgate Prime R1000-1d. It's rated at 1000 watt RMS @ 2 ohms. I was thinking I would go dual 1 ohm's and wire it up to 2 ohms. Now would I have to add the flatwind coils since I would be putting it 200 watts over the RMS rating? Any criticism/opinions welcome, thanks.

alright so i have a sundown sae-1000d. i am currently running 2 type r 12's and they just dont do it for me. which singe sub should i run? i was looking into a single 15 or 18. i know 1000 watts isnt too much but its what ive got to work with so any help is appreciated. budget isnt too big of a concern since i will be selling the type r's.

hey im not sure if i should get the 15" Q dual 1 ohm or a 15" BTL i know the BTL cost about 400 dollars. but im not sure if i should wait and get that instead?
