Im In The Process Of Building New Box For My 87 Mustang. It Will Be For 2 BTLS's Around 8 Cubes Net. The Anticipation Was Killing Me So I just Went Ahead And Threw My Old Box Where The Passanger Seat Was to see how it performed on my SAZ-3000D At first i was amazed. Then about after 15 min. of Slamming it it wasnt as loud anymore and the BTL wasnt Able To Handle the Amp Half Way (Gain All Way Down) It was Already Reaching Its Limits And Bottoming Out. so i was pretty bumed as it sounded the same if not less than 2 memphis 12" subs. so i was looking making sure all the connections were tight and secure, and i decided to take my DMM and meassure the Voltage off the battery…

Hello I sent in my 12" BTL to get re-coned, and I haven't received any word on when it will be returned. I sent a couple of E-mails over a week ago and haven't got a response from the re-cone department. My Order#I-15761/00. If a Mod. can get back to me as soon as possible that will be great. Thank you.

  5. Well I sent in my FI sub for repairs at the beginning of may. Sent a few emails to Mr. Shawn, and he said they would repair it. After a while I started getting no response. Probably because of the recent medical issues. Hopefully you are recovering Mr. Shawn. Thoughts and prayers go out to you. Anyway, I got an email from him about 2 weeks ago, and I emailed him back. I have gotten no reply yet. Today I try to send another email, and none of my emails are being delivered to them. I am getting this message: Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: [email protected] A problem occurred during the delivery of this message to this e-mail address. Try sending thi…

  8. For those that don't make it SMD Here it is. It's a D1 model, in series for the video. They are going in for a recone to change the ohms of the coil. I told my wife we were doing it, i guess she didn't know what to expect. You will hear I got busted. The lights in the house were dimming pretty bad. you can see it in the video. The dust cap was warm and the felt pads had burn marks from the tinsel leads. It sticks really bad but it still works. http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c112/bag...nt=100_4240.flv after The woofer still stinks. It moves freely, but i hooked it up again to get a reading at my house panel. We have digital meters in our area now. my normal Kwh is betwe…

I just sold my Q12 (and a 15), I bought and installed 2 Rl-i8's and they sound great, but I just miss that deep loud low sound from a 12. The Rl-i's are little monsters don't get me wrong and they get low, but they're 8's, impressive as they may be, I don't know I just miss the Q12. I got rid of it due to space limitations in my truck. But I would be willing to give up that space again, in a small sealed enclosure. Now I was also looking at the TC-3000, I'm just skeptical of TC's CS and lack of info about the subs. The site shows the older 3k's and on the forum the new ones are talked about but very limited info and stock and they will be producing another batch of differ…

Well I got used to my one bl and now I want something louder. My current setup is a memphis 1500d (1500 watts @ 2ohm) pushing one 15" fully loaded bl in 3.8cuft tuned to 32hz. Thats after all displacement. So I have another 1500d sitting in the closet that I want to use as well. I figure I can fit a 7 cuft box maybe 8 if im lucky. What do you guys think I should do, get another 15" bl or sell mine and get something else? I would like to stay with fi subs and this is for a daily setup.

  17. Purchased an fi btl sub off craigslist. long story short, the previous guy who owned it did a VERY bad recone job and the tinsel leads that go into the spider were shot and the wire that goes into the cone is too short and when the sub excursions, it simply rips out of the tinsel. I'm going to order a new recone kit but i cant figure out if theres a difference with the btl/n2/n3 and which model this is.. I deleted the guys number because I was so pissed at him that he would sell me something fked up. if anyone can help me figure out what it is or if theres anyway to tell please let me know asap!

Right now someone figured out my box was 3.8 cubes at 31hz after disp. With that, a 15" BTL with no options and a Hifonics BXi2006D I hit a 141.7. That was my best score. I am trying to hit a 150 with this one sub. I am getting alot of different inputs on box sizes to use...and I know hitting a certain score has MANY varibles...but I figured to start off..a better box could help a good bit. It is in an extended cab truck, port up and sub up. I want pretty much SPL, but it is my DD. With a new box, I am still going to be listening to music. So I figured who better to come to for box advice then the people who make the sub.

I did a search for warranty, but ended up finding more threads talking about amp warranties than Fi sub warranties. I have a few pic's of one of the tinsel leads in my Fi Q15 that worked itself loose. Everything else on the sub is good and the VC looks perfect, it's just this one tinsel lead that came loose. I remember seeing a thread about a user that had some BTL's that had tinsel lead slap issue's. Are the tinsel leads in Fi woofers ever going to be wooven into the spider?
