45 Bucks an hour on the Term Lab at a well known shop. They have won alot of the USACi comps... They leave me alone or come out with me and they will help me with settings and what not to decide what the best setup for me is for DD and then give me the settings for SPL comps. The guy I talked to(My friend used to go to him as well for SQ comps) said that we will be done in way less than an hour...but the extra time is nice to screw around with things.. Any thoughts on that? I thought it was a good deal

So I have been sittin here planning out my next system almost to a T, when the thought pops in my head, maybe I should find out the competition rules and types of competitions there are before I do any major planning. Does anyone have any ideas or sites I can hit up to find out the various competitions and rules regarding these comps? My last plan was a F150 with shell on the bed. I was gonna do a wall with 4 18" BTLs, allowing the box to take up some room in the bed. I was probably gonna port front as well, but have some templates and planning to do first. Hi. im installing 2 SSDs to a Kicker Zx2500. Its a stock 120A alt in a Ford Fusion. I have a Kinetik Hc1400 that will be in the trunk. My first Question is will I need to have 2 runs(Power/ground) of 0 gauge from the stock battery to the Kinetik? Or can I just run 1 power between both batteries and ground the kinetik to the car? Also I have a Kicker zx650.4 for the doors and I would like to put Phoenix Gold RSD-6.5CS. MY stock speakers are 5.25s. Would this be too much work or should I just buy the RSDs in 5.25? Also can anyone refer me to a nice pair of 2 way speakers that I could put in the rear doors? I listen to mostly hip-hop/rock. Any input is great because I r…

i just got my bl yesterday, brokerage was 65$ :s. i was just wondering how do i know if my bl has the cooling option on it. i thought the magnet was supposed to have a hole through it when it had cooling, but mine does'nt. is this bad or am i just misinformed? thx-phil

i have a 3 inch by 12 inch port that goes in 9 inches which means its tuned to 32 hz ... if i maybe woulda made it thinner and went back farther could it of been louder?

Hey all im from northeast PA, and I would really like to hit up some competitions soon. I won my last one in Oct with my BTL hit 143.3 on tl at the dash. Loudest of every car there. It was on music. I really goto a couple other comps so if somone could let me know of any coming around soon i dont mind drivin a lil bit to get to one.

So I'm looking to get a 15" TC9 reconed by Fi right now, and possibly a Shocker Sig in the near future. I have sent a few emails to the recone address, but I got no response. Is there a better way to get this done? I would like to get this thing reconed ASAP, so any help at all would be appreciated.

I've heard great things about Fi and want to get a pair of 18s for my HT setup. I was told over on the Cult that some tweaks can be made to make the drivers IB friendly. So, the question I have is, what diffence could I expect between the SSD series and the Q series? I expect it to be loud, but I'm looking to hit the bottom octave with some authority. Opinions?

I have a 2006 Nissan Xterra with 2 12" RE SE's in a custom 4 cu ft at 34hz enclosure (the old ones, not the seX) on a nasty TMA 1000.1 (I didn't know much about this, bought it cheap from a friend). I'm right on that 1000 rms borderline so I have not performed any electrical upgrades and my car is fine (no dimming etc). i am looking for demtions for an fi btl subwoofer box i have a 1995 chevy blazer and the room i have to use is 22 inches high 25 inches deep and 38 inches wide the recomendation is 5-10cuft so could anyone tell me what dimentions to make my box and how big the port should be

I don't exactly know what this statement means on the BTL ordering page: "Current lead time is 30 days as of 11/30/09. Free cooling and sticker pack for all that order during this period." As I recall, cooling is usually a $40 option. And I would like to take advantage of it, but would like some clarification first, thanks!

Alright, So I Have a couple of questions. Currently I am running 1/0 to a saz-1500d and a 15" Fi BL with p chamfer. My question is i'm considering buying my friends 15" BL so I can run them both, his sub does not have a p chamfer, Is that going to be a huge difference in power or sound? My friend sugested that with the right electrical set up I could possible run my 1500d at .5 ohm. I'm not sure about that. Any suggestions and Info would be appreciated. Thanks

I have 2 BTL 15" 3 stack that I bought used and they are supposed to be fully loaded. One is pretty beat up so I decided a recone was in order soon. I got them cheap so I wasnt concerned and I knew they could be reconed. I had these 2 subs in my 95 grand marquis on 2 mmats 2100.1. I have 220 amp alt. Big 3 0ga and an Optima yellow top. The box was a little on the small side. I dont have the exact specs but it doesn't matter..... hey all, i just can back from my first db drags bass race that was held in hayward, ca. i might say, i had a blast. my car install is still in the works. 18" BL walled. i met some cool guys there and they had no problem giving me tips. BIGGG ups to Christian with the 2 15" RE MT'S. 147.9 db. nice!

I just got my first set of Fi subs, I got 2 ssd's. On one of the subs the terminal is jammed opened and it is difficult to close or open it. Does this happen normally or?
