Myself and Troy (tejcurrent) attended a local competition today and I believe we respresented Fi nicely. I took 1st in the Truck/Suv 501-1500 class w/ a 146.5 @ 41hz, second in the StreetBass Unlimited class w/ a 142 something playing Gorilla Zoe - Do It, and was runner up in 139.9 BassRace. StreetBass is similiar to BassRace expect you run solo, are allowed to open doors & roll down windows, mic is at the bottom center of the windshield, and you average over 60 seconds. The BassRace was the most exciting since it was my first time doing BassRace. My first two rounds in elimination were cake, but in the finals I was up against Walt Johnson. Walt is the SC BassRac…

  5. Okay, here it goes. Please dont flame me. I tried searching and read through a bunch of posts before making my own thread. I have 2 BTL 15" 3 stack that I bought used and they are supposed to be fully loaded. One is pretty beat up so I decided a recone was in order soon. I got them cheap so I wasnt concerned and I knew they could be reconed. I had these 2 subs in my 95 grand marquis on 2 mmats 2100.1. I have 220 amp alt. Big 3 0ga and an Optima yellow top. The box was a little on the small side. I dont have the exact specs but it doesn't matter..... I was driving my car minding my own business when some dumbass with a dodge dakota towing a 27' camper decide he wants to c…

Does anyone know if FI got their internet back up and running? I talked to Nick on Wednesday or Thursday and he said the internet had been down all week so they couldn't ship anything out. I am waiting on 2 btl's to ship out so I was going to see if they ever got it running again

I know this is a car audio forum so please excuse the HT question. I tried to get an answer out on the main forum but I wasn't getting any responses. I've heard great things about Fi and want to get a pair of 18s for my HT setup. I was told over on the Cult that some tweaks can be made to make the drivers IB friendly. So, the question I have is, what diffence could I expect between the SSD series and the Q series? I expect it to be loud, but I'm looking to hit the bottom octave with some authority. Opinions?

I have a 12'' BL in a 2.25 or so cu. ft. box ported at 32 hz, and a Kicker ZX1000.1 running at 2 ohms and it doesnt seem loud enough, and i dont want to clip it to death. im wondering if a different amp can help? its a fully loaded bl so im sure it can take 1500 rms, what do you guys suggest? right now for electrical i have 1/0 for the amp and battery, ive done the wire upgrades for the grounding in the engine compartment, except for the alternator because of it being mounted by my chassis rather than near the hood. any suggestions there besides the alt positve wire?

Hello all! Well im certainly a noob around here. I've been looking at the boards for quite a few months but I've finally decided to post. Anyway, onto business... I have a 2006 Nissan Xterra with 2 12" RE SE's in a custom 4 cu ft at 34hz enclosure (the old ones, not the seX) on a nasty TMA 1000.1 (I didn't know much about this, bought it cheap from a friend). I'm right on that 1000 rms borderline so I have not performed any electrical upgrades and my car is fine (no dimming etc). Problem is, this system doesn't really seem loud anymore LOL so I'm considering moving up to 2 15" Fi's. For amplifiers, I was considering a Sundown 1500 or Sundown 2000. I will perform the Big 3…

Alright, So I Have a couple of questions. Currently I am running 1/0 to a saz-1500d and a 15" Fi BL with p chamfer. My question is i'm considering buying my friends 15" BL so I can run them both, his sub does not have a p chamfer, Is that going to be a huge difference in power or sound? My friend sugested that with the right electrical set up I could possible run my 1500d at .5 ohm. I'm not sure about that. Any suggestions and Info would be appreciated. Thanks

I was going to call Fi but damn they have no phone number listed . I have a 12" Q right now in a 2.58ft^3 @ 32Hz enclosure , built it for a smaller space . Now I have more room so I am steeping it up to 2 15" s . Already have my enclosure designed , 7.74ft^3 after displacements , tuned to 34Hz , 124in^2 port area . Going into a 1998 Acura Integra . Anyone know how much it costs? Or am I better off just buying new 2 15" s and selling the 1 year old 12" .

I don't exactly know what this statement means on the BTL ordering page: "Current lead time is 30 days as of 11/30/09. Free cooling and sticker pack for all that order during this period." As I recall, cooling is usually a $40 option. And I would like to take advantage of it, but would like some clarification first, thanks!

Hi. im installing 2 SSDs to a Kicker Zx2500. Its a stock 120A alt in a Ford Fusion. I have a Kinetik Hc1400 that will be in the trunk. My first Question is will I need to have 2 runs(Power/ground) of 0 gauge from the stock battery to the Kinetik? Or can I just run 1 power between both batteries and ground the kinetik to the car? Also I have a Kicker zx650.4 for the doors and I would like to put Phoenix Gold RSD-6.5CS. MY stock speakers are 5.25s. Would this be too much work or should I just buy the RSDs in 5.25? Also can anyone refer me to a nice pair of 2 way speakers that I could put in the rear doors? I listen to mostly hip-hop/rock. Any input is great because I r…

  22. Yeah, this is last November's Black Fi-Day X 10" they had a sale on.. finally got around to putting some power to it as well as building my first box. In the video, I didn't want to push the sub to the limit to avoid blowing it, it seemed like it could take another click on the HU though. Obviously a video is what it is, but let me tell you that this sub sounded so good and flat, it was incredible.
