I'm wondering if anyone know if I have to upgrade anything if i just want to put a 12" FiQ in my trunk. I want to conserve trunk space so I'm not looking for a full out system just something for quality. Is this the right sub or should I get something else? Any suggestion on head units I been looking at pioneers and soud storm. Suggestion will be nice and ill look into them. I'm going to make a box and should be at about 1.8 Will post pictures when all done. Might not be up until later this year since im going on vacation :]. Switching from JBL to FI btw.

I am currently running a 10" Alpine type R off an Alpine M450 Amp. The type R is in a large ported enclosure. It sounds terrible with the type of music i listen to (hard rock). It will play pretty low and get loud while listening to rap, but I hardly ever listen to rap. I only put this in my Jeep as a quick fix (paid 100 for amp, sub, and box) and now I finally have the money to do a whole new system. My local shop keeps trying to get me to do a JL 12W6 in a sealed enclosure running off a 500/1. He says "It will hit hard (tight) and be loud enough for me". I do not want to go with JL especially since he wants 650 for a 12W6 and a box. I would like to go with (1) 15" in …

truck - 05 chevy colorado amp - sundown 3500d elec - 2 kinetik 2000hc's. big three. box - 4.5 cubic feet tuned @ 32 hz. two 12 bls' or two 12 btl's? looking for spl. but i also want musical daily driving. i know bl's are more musical and btl's are more loud but i wanna know if one has a significant amount of sq or spl compared to the other. example (not saying its true) : bl's and q's are not much of a difference sq wise, but bl's get very noticably louder.

I am currently running two Rockford T15's off a Rockford T20001at 4 ohms. I'm thinking about getting 2 15" Fi subs and run the amplifier at 2 ohms. What pair off 15" subs should I get, BL, Q's, or SSD's? Also what options should I get? Thanks

I was flippin through the new issue of Truckin and had to ask this. why is it that in all these magazines, with these amazing trucks, the subs in the bed of the truck point towards the tailgate. I am assuming cause they do this there may not be a blowthrough, never really could tell. even if there was, what would be the point of pointin the subs this way? is it just show?

Whats good guys. So I'm new here as you can tell and I'm planning on getting a 15" Fi bl in my 03 civic. Lookin for some advice here, since i cannot get it at the 3 local shops as they all asked me what Fi is haha. Alright so I cant decide between the Audioque 1200d and the Sundown SAE-1200D. Just saw the Sundown here for $315, but I dont know whether or not this site is legit: Sundown SAE-1200D - Amplifiers - Power Max Electronics LLC If i get the AQ1200d, i would want it to do 1470 watts but it says it will have 5%THD, so will that not sound good?. I've heard the SAE-1200d could do 1500watts and sound good. If the AQ1200d will sound fine at 1470w i will get it, since it…

Right now im rocking a 1x fi q 12" in a 2.5 @ 30hz box, it gets pretty loud, but i feel i have to strain a little to get it to my likings. I want to upgrade and have a few optinos that im asking you about I plan on buying a second sae - 1000D and strapping them and producing 1800 - 1900 @ 2 ohms. So that what i have to work with. Here are my options that im intrested in. I have a LSQ oriented system as you can see in my sig Option 1- buy another fi 12 q and sealing both of them each in a 1.3 sealed box or both of them in a 2.5 sealed box. I could build an amp rack Option 2- buy another fi 12 q and porting them in a 5 @ 32 hz box. could not build an amp rack Option 3- i co…

So I have been checkin out his posts and now I am curious. What would be "louder" in an overall sense....4 10" Q's sealed or 2 12" Q's ported. I have no exp what so ever with sealed enclosures and would like to know the answer to this. I know the 10's win with overall surface area, but will the ported cause much more SPL than the 4 10's? Any advice on this would be great cause I have been thinkin about it for quite some time now and it is driving me nuts. Side Note: Probably use a RF4000.1 to 4 10's or Kicker2500.1 or such for 2 12's. THANKS

  24. I'm gonna be ordering 2 of the Q15's dual 2 ohms fully loaded, and wiring them both to a AQ2200D, and I want to know what would be the best enclosure I can build for SQ? I've heard sealed is the best for SQ, and aside from that the carpenter building the box for me doesn't know anything about tuning a box, so i'm pretty sure ported or bandpass is out of the question. Would I be right to assume if I use the max 4^3 feet per woofer it would hit the deep note better? If so, what would be the best way to put both of those into a 43inx40inx17 (LengthXWidthxDepth). I believe i'm gonna mount them from the top unless someone could provide a good option that would allow for otherw…
