alright so i just got my recone in for another one of my 18 btls i reconed them before but this time its diferent as you can see in the pic below it has 4 leads if thats what they are coming out the spiders on each side total of eight on each side how would i solder this on im use too just two on each side

I want to buy another 18" SSD, but I need to have my current sub reconed to a dual 1 ohm. The sub I have now is an 18" SSD dual 2 ohm with the flatwind coil. Can I either send it, or drop it off (I live close) to Fi and have them do it for me? Thank you.

Hi, my Fi 15" BL has recently stopped working. Today i got it tested at my local car audio shop. They told me that one voice coil is not reading a resistance and the other voice coil is reading around 25 ohms. They also told me the voice coil does not look burnt, it is still light copper in color. They also said that nothing smells burned and that the coil is not melted. My question is, does this sound like something that would be covered under warranty? Is any of this indicative of something Fi does not cover in their warranty policy? I noticed they do not cover open voice coils but the audio people i saw were not able to tell if it is open. I live far enough away tha…

I just ordered 2 fi Q 15s Friday (02/06/09). I know that it takes 2-3 building days plus the time it takes to deliver but I have heard that UPS just leave yr stuff at the door if they dont get an answer. Where i live if u leave stuff out it WILL be stolen. Is there a way for me to to find out the status of my order and its tracking number? Thanks

Im a bit of an audio freak, I started with my home system and have now moved out to the car (at least its not the dog house) I explained to her its just a love of music/audio... like she loves gardening and plants. I'm putting my first system in the backseat of my 2004 Ford F150. What I would like to do is put 2 BL12's back there and run them off of either a Kicker ZX2500.1 or 2 ZX1000.1's, but I have several questions. I want to wire them to 2ohms to get the full potential out of my amps, so will I need to get the subs with dual 1 or dual 2 ohm voice coils? As far as a box goes, I plan on getting a custom slot ported box made. I ran my measurements through a program and it came back with these specs: Net Airspace- 2.5 cu. ft. per sub Port Volume- 1.586 cu. ft. Port Area- 80.39 sq. in. i made a post 10 days ago about my sub not being sent out yet. i was told to wait 1 or 2 more days.. its not been 10 and its still not sent out. Is there any unknown delays i dont know about?
