So i recently bought a basic Q 12 and thouroughly enjoy it. i have a mono ma audio amp that runs at 800 rms. Question is ... would it be beneficial to upgrade the amp? could possibly get a deal on last years brutus 1206d or look for something different. dont think i could swing a sundown. what rms would you run a q 12 at?

I want to buy another 18" SSD, but I need to have my current sub reconed to a dual 1 ohm. The sub I have now is an 18" SSD dual 2 ohm with the flatwind coil. Can I either send it, or drop it off (I live close) to Fi and have them do it for me? Thank you.

well as soon as i found out that the website was updated i checked it out and found they had shirts. Hey guys, ok so I bought a 12 ssd with the copper coil option and Im going to be running it off the Kicker zx1000.1 amp im putting it in a 2008 nissan frontier extended cab and i was wondering what you guys think would be the best box dimensions for both ported and sealed enclosures I am building the box my self and i just wanted the deepest lowest bass with the SQ Thanks

Hi i'm in the process of building my box for the 15" BTL, I wanna know how long the port will have to be to have a tuning of 32hz. My dimensions are 40 x 20 x 20 with double bracing 3/4" MDF. i did the math and with the double bracing, the internal volume is roughly 7.5 cubes. I wanna know how long the port will have to be at 4", 5" and 6" tall. Thx guys, Fi rocks

hey guys i need you're help! im planning on buying a fully loaded bl 15(dual 2 ohm). i hear the sub can be pushed to 2000watts no problem but im pretty new to this whole sub thing so i'de like to have the sub running at around 1500watts. i was hoping you guys could help list me a couple good quality amps that won't cost me an arm and a leg (im a student). my budget is around 350$. at first i was leaning towards the hifonics bxi1606d but i heard they put their specs a little too high, so now im looking into kenwood(KAC-9103D), power accoustik(psi 2000d), and refurb kicker(ZX1500.1) amps which all fall near my budget. i know some of the amps i named seem a little high for t…

Hey guys, I just ordered my Image Dynamic components and now I'm starting to look into my subwoofer setup. I've narrowed it down to three choices. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop, but I do like alternative every now and then. Here are the three setups that've really stood out to me. 1) 2 12" Fi SSD's powered by a Cadence DCA 1600.1 in a ported box to specs. 2) 2 12" Image Dynamics IDQv3's in a sealed encolsure powered by a AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. 3) 2 12" AudioQue SDC2.5's in a ported box powered by an AudioQue 1200D or Sundown SAE-1200D. got a 15 Q with bp option and a sundown saz 1000d....can't wait for them to show up. Had a 15 bl with all options and hifonix 1606....had to sell it cus I needed money at the time. Went with a q cus I love sealed a lot more. CAN'T WAIT!!!

how much power can you put to a btl 18 for bass race???

Ok, here's my question..FI is obviously amazing. I want one!!! I'm driving a 99 Malibu and I want to put a 15"Q in. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it for me to build an ABC box, a standard ported box, or possibly a CRX box. I want clean and loud...don't care about the complexity of an ABC as I find it fun. My only problem is that I deisng an ABC box at 3.5cu ft, 30 hz tune, with 50 sq in of port area. I'm not sure if taht's enough port area. I will be powering the sub with an MTX 6500d. Any help would be great!!!

I have always prefered sealed systems. They always got loud enough, and were easy to build. I just got a D2 Cu voice coil SSD for the wifes car. I have it in a 1.3cuft net box. Approx 1000w available, but its not all being utilized. I feel like I am pushing the sub to its limits, but it's not as loud as it should be. The install is only 2 days old...will SSD's get louder as they break in, like other woofers? I know the alum coil can handle more power, and is peakier....but will it be louder? I think the next step will be a ported box.

i made a post 10 days ago about my sub not being sent out yet. i was told to wait 1 or 2 more days.. its not been 10 and its still not sent out. Is there any unknown delays i dont know about?

well, after reading on this forum for quite awhile, and few other forums, i decided to join this one, and went to the FI site and bought a 12" BL D2 with cooling, flatwind, daily with the universal option just in case i decide to run 2. Hopefully by next week i will order my sundown 1500. Sub is going in an 86 chevy c-10 regular cab, in a center console box. Will post pics when it arrives, i am very excited. As only thing around here is kicker, alpine, JL, fosgate and mtx.

Well I just bought a used Fi BTL locally and now I want to rep it with some pride. Im thinking of buying a hoodie since i need one, but does anyone if they run large or small? If you have purchased one let me know. Just curious as what I need to get. To Fi. get some zip up hoodies I'm fairly confident this would be the right place to put this. Also im getting a sticker, where doi u think would be the best mounting point. I am thinking bottom driver side back window. I have a silver 07 grand prix. So i was thinking sticking with silver. Just a light thread no need to crunch numbers etc. Just some opinions.

well im sorry to say i wont be able to get a 15" btl. because my wife and i found out were going to have a baby. so i was thinking about an SQ setup. with a 10. probably a Q10. and i am thinking about building a fiberglass box for it.. how would i go about doing this. what size and should it be sealed or have a little port. so i hope to do this. sorry about the btl thing really really wanted to get one of those. so yeah. thanks.
