Ok can someone please explain in detail what the differences are between a 15" woofer and a 12" woofer in playing ability, frequency, and tuning

can Fi recone a 12" Eclipse Ti to a 15"? not too sure what motors are on em

ok guys im in houston and need a custom box. got a f150 single cab and have a 12 bl. specs say at least 1.8cuft. went to frys electronics and those idiots wanted to charge me 450 for a ported wedged box. thats a ridiculous amount of money. and then they have never heard of Fi car audio. so i was like man i need to leave this place. if ur in houston and know of a place where i can get a good ported box please let me know. really wanna start bumpin by beggining of summer

Hey everyone, I've had my fully loaded bl 15 for about 5 1/2 months and i love it. But now all of a sudden im having some wierd issues. One morning when i got into my car and was driving i noticed i had no bass at all so out of curiosity i turned it up to listen closer and all of a sudden the sub kicked in but when it did it was distorted sounding. Now ever since its been the same way and not to mention its not very loud now. Even when i first got it and was using my stock battery it sounded louder and better. Could my setup be clipping? Any thoughts? All help is greatly appriciated!

Alright, I never thought i would have this much trouble dealing with you guys but to me 3 weeks is plenty enough time to receive a re-cone kit. Or at least for it to ship. This is my last ditch effort in trying to get it sorted out. I placed my order 4/28 invoice number (I-16276/00) and still have not received it. You guys sent me a link to ups which on their page said a label had been created but nothing shipped. This becoming ridiculous if it isn't already. It seems to me that you guys need to back up, regroup and take a look at your business practices. Not putting a phone number on your website should have been a clue to me. ok so i ordered my sub right around valintines day an it took over a month to get here an i finally got time to build a box this week end an hook it up! it never seen power till to day an i thought my amp was fried at first i couldnt get any sound or movement out of it at all.. so i hooked it up to a friends amp an it barely played so we put it back in my car on my amp. when we did that it finally started to play on my amp.. but it barely moves an you cant even here it hardly unless you get close to the sub. i tryed rewiring it a couple different times an it still just doesnt play hardly.. what is wrong with it? i know it aint the amp because i hooked my tens up an they …

Well here is a finished pic of my wall setup in my Civic. Worked out alot better than I expected. I love FI and rep them everywhere I go. They sound awesome. Have a couple of pics and a short video of Young Jeezy. Notice the windshield wiper jumping off the windshield. Keep in mind this is powered by a American Bass VFL 150.1...@ .7 ohms. Daily... Wat up! I just bought two fully loaded BL 15s.the new version with 4" coils.they are dual 1. I was giving them some free air at around 20-25 hrtz on my sundown 1500d for aBout 10 mins at the most.they BARELY got a Lil warm.nothing bad tho.volume just under half way with the bass knob about half gain.just trying to loosen up the spiders and break in the suspension.they are soooo incrediblly stiff lol but on one of them, as I was pushing up and down on the cone,I see a tiny quarter inch tear in the middle of the spider.was soo bummed..does this need to be re coned or Wat?like i said It's brand spanking new,and it still sounds great and bumps hard,doesn't make any weird noi…

I currently have a pair of Q's each running off 1500 watts. I wanted to do a sound quality setup but now im wishing I would have gone with the BLs because all i really wanted to do is get loud. is there any way i can exchange my pair of Qs for a pair of BLs. Thanks Keith

thanks to scott and FI.i just won the NSPL amature 1200 amp - 2400 amp current draw class and set the world record with a 163.1 dash and a 163.9 hardcore with bad batteries.FI rocks,great subs.voltage droped to 10.3volts when i burp from 16.7 volts so i'm happy with that.i know it will do a 165+ with these subs.4 -btl's 18's fully loaded and poweracoustik a3000db amps.again thanks scott and FI.

The Q wasn't what i expected maybe. It does hit low... but it's also missing in the 50-80hz range. I know it ain't a upper bass sub but I just bought it 1month ago and i don't want to try something else. I'm powering it with a hifonics 2006d at 1ohm so 1700 watt +/-. The box is 6.5 net tuned at 30hz atm. ssf set around 23-25hz and hpf around 80hz. I got id's ctx65cs in frontstage but i only cross them around 90hz.. otherwise my window rattle and it doesn't like the 250watt + im putting into them. I'm listening to rap mainly. The problems is that it miss a lof of the 50-80hz bass line and something that make it sound akward, even more since when i'm bumping it there's no w…

hey all I was wondering in your installs with Fi subs 1. What gauge speaker wire do you use for the subs ? 2. What gauge power wire for the amps powering the subs...?? 3. how many watts going to you subs (per sub) I am in the process of finalizing my system and was going to do a look over all my wires.... thank you all i appreciate it Cliff

its so stiff right now i can barely move it with my hand, the coils on the dmm read .7 ohm's and .5 ohm's. regardless of how i wire the VC's it ends up at .5 ohm's, not sure if its my dmm failing or if i just fail at life, any help? final ohm load should be 2ohms FI says .7 ohm's for D1 set so it should be ~1.4-1.5 ohm's

do they make 8s and if so does anyone know howmuch they are? i kinda am stuck between 2 12s 2 10s or 4 8s. i dont know what to choose if you guys could help out that would be great.

I went outside this morning to work on my alternator that has been giving me problems and when the garage door opened up the was a fedex guy digging through his truck. Since he was on the other side of the road I just didn't think anything of it. When he dug out a box, struggled to pick it up and then started walking to my house I freaked out. Without any shipping info or warning at all my BL 15 came in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!! I am order #1624 ordered on April 2nd and got my sub in perfect condition today April 26th. Don't even have a box made... Thought it would take a lot longer to get it here.

ok so i know this is probobly a dumb question but i have to ask. what is the best series of sub to buy for a daily bad ass bass machine? to fill it in for you here we go...... i have a 86 bmw 325E a friend and i did everything ti this car as a team effort. it has two mephis 5 1/4 on a 2 channle ads, 2 orion 6x9's on a orion 225 and (had) 2 soundstream t4's 15's in a 10 cubic foot box, round ported, tuned for 35 hrtz. the car has two huge glass matte batterys and a 320amp alt on it. now the subs were driven bt a orion d1200...... obviosly way under driven, but it purduced 130 dbs on a normal song ( blur berry yum yum by ludacris). so the one sub re burnt the voice coil and…

i just have one 1 18 btl and im hugely satisfied with it. it plays the lows so hard compared to the 2 12 l7s i had before. i think the btl isnt louder in the higher freq but the lows oh my god thats awesome! now i have the chance to sell my btl and im thinking of getting 2 18 Qs in a sealed 9 cft. box because im very impressed by the sq of the btl (although the box i have is crap, less than 5 cft after displacement). is there a comparable sub to the Q? like alpines type x? amp is a bxi 2610. the Qs would run at 1 ohm (2,6 kw rms).

Hey there, I would like some help with dimensions for a box for my SP4 18 subwoofer. The SP4 18 will be powered by a crescendo 3500D. I only have very limited space inside my trunk, but I want a ported box in every case and I want it tuned to 34 Hz. Sold my Current system this pas week, along with a old fender amp, and cashed in some savings bonds, brought me out to 1124$ I have spent about an hour to 2 hours picking out what I'm gonna get and I've pretty much narrowed it down after looking over multiple options and I've finally got it down pat! what happened to missing link audio..the number on the website is wrong its an illinois number and they say their in vegas..i need a module for my car because i just put an alternator in and my battery light stays on..thanks any help would greatly appreciate
