Ok, so I am going infinite baffle in my e28 and have a pair of Fi X 12's. Does anyone know how well they may perform in tis type of setup? Just a little info, stock the trunk is sealed from the cabin in an e28 BMW and therefore it is good for this type of setup. I will mount the subs on the rear deck. I am definitely an SQ guy so lower spl is fine with me. However, I cannot go bigger than 12" because there is only 13" of rear deck space. I would have to cut the wall all up just to get some air moving into the cabin in a regular box setup anyway. Any tips, questions, info is appreciated.

I hate to ask this, but I have hit a crossroad. I am looking for some real good output and have around 2k watts of power to play with. I have about 3 to 4 cubic feet of room to play with in the trunk of my car. What would probably work best, 1 15" BL or 2 10" BL's. I thought the 2 10's due to sheer cone area, but any other input would be cool. I am fearful I will not have enough room for a BTL, so that is why that is not in the running.

I want to build a system utilizing 2 15" BTL's. What I need to know is what it's going to take to power these subwoofers properly. I've considered using a Rockford Fosgate 4000 Watt Amp, is that going to make the grade? I've heard that the BTL's need about 1500-2000 Watts RMS, so I have a good idea of what kind of amp I'm going to need. The real question is, if 4000 Watts is what I need to move them, what do I need for the charging system? The best high output altenator I've found is 180 Amps. I plan on upgrading all of the charging system wiring as well. Am I going to need to use multiple batteries in addition to my regular car battery and upgraded altenator? A lot of pe…

hi Guys, I havent posted here in a while, but i am in need of some guidance. I just ordered 3 hifonics BX1606d's or whatever the numbers are.... Now i have to order some subs, I can't decide between Q's and BL's. I have no idea what all the options are for on the bl's and if someone could explain all of them that would be awesome. I was planning on putting 1 of the hifonics on each, and i also need some advice on box size, tuning etc. SQ is not really a concern of mine, and i have made all the electrical upgrades to the car so everything will work with the power. The Truck is a 2001 GMC Sierra EXT cab, similar to the red one with the 4 15" SSD's in it. My other quest…

I noticed on some of the pics, the 18'' basket has small square windows at the bottom and the smaller subs have bigger arched windows. Are these generation differences like early or late model baskets? Are they related to the cooling options or BP Power? Do the recent 18s have the bigger arched windows cuz that's what sets the 12 spoke off for me?

Hey guys do you have a single X series 10" laying around somewhere? I am planning a build and would love to have one. Dual 2 would be the best but I would not complain an ounce if you could dig up a dual 4. Just checking If not I guess I will wait and do it with a single Q when the time comes.

Ok so as you can hopefully tell I have a Dodge Charger. I have some trunk room to work with. I have 2 12 inch fully loaded SSD's being built right now I just got my 1200d Sundown amp. I know Chargers have a pretty good alt but I will of course still do the big 3 and maybe another battery. I would just like to be around 13v or a little higher. I read on Fi's website; "Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please)" So is that easy? Should I just go with a 5 cuft box ported and tuned at 33Hz???? What do you guys recommend? Thanks!!!!!!!!

I am running a pair of Q 15's on a PAI-2000.1 @ 1ohm sealed. It's deep and its loud, specially in a civic hatch. I don't want to lose my back seats if possible, that's why I opted to go with the Q's sealed from the get go. The box before displacement is 4.9cuft on the dot. Do you think I would get more output if I closed off one of the speaker holes and added a few 4" aeroports, tuning the box to 33hz and popping in a single 15" BTL D1 to run the amp at .5ohm? I am not sure how long the ports would have to be or how many I would need (3-4), so I am not sure if after displacement it would be an ideal enclosure for a BTL. I would be losing half my cone area (-3db) but …

Hey guys help me out here i just have a couple short questions. I just ordered a 15" BTL not too long ago and I'm still undecided on what amp what buy. The two I'm stuck on are a Rocford T20001BD or an AudioQ 2200D. What would be a better fit for the sub? Another major thing I was curious on was which one would be better on power? I heard the T2K is very power hungry. Also which amp has better quality over all? Another thing is that I can pick up the AQ2200D for almost $200 less which is a big deciding factor. Does anybody have either of these amps that can give me some feedback on them? I'd appreciate any response and advice. Thanks.

Hey Scott and Nick whats up. I just received 1 of 2 subs that were ordered. UPS said that they dont have any movement on the 2nd sub so more than likely it was not shipped out. They told me to call u and find out if the sub was shipped out , i emailed you the tracking numbers. Tracking info. shows one pakage is delivered, while with the other, it still says billing information recieved.

Hi guys, Im looking into adding a sub to my 2008 altima (with Bose) Im not looking for anything extreme in RMS liike when I had my RE HC a few years back in my older car. The sub I am looking at is either a 10 or 12' X. I have to admit im confused with the BP option. How much RMS does this add to the sub? The amp I was considering was a Diamond 300.2 that I can get at a very good price. Can someone also recommend a box for this sub? Preferably ported and if someone can let me know how this sub compares to something like a Diamond D3. I know its a lot of questions, but I do appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

So right now i have a 15" Q in a 4 cu ft ported box... sometime late this year or early next year i was thinking of upgrading to either another Q so (2) 15" Fi Q's or (1) 18" Xcon? What do you guys think about this? I am willing to pretty much give up my whole trunk so basically i want some SQ but more focused on getting loud... i like the lows ALOT... i want enough SQ so i can listen to some real rap and underground stuff that has quicker fast hits so i want to be able to listen to stuff like immortal technique and be able for it to sound good... but want to listen to jeezy and be loud as chit... so basically compromise between the two but more focused toward being loud.…
