Hello forum. I have an FI Q sub which i have received on 7/15/2011. I finally got it professionally installed on 7/26/2011 by my local audio shop a few days after receiving my Audioque AQ1200 amp. It was playing fine until after about 5 hours of play time. The only extra option it has is the cooling package. I hear a weird rattling noise comming from the sub itself. I thought at first maybe it was my car rattling, or the box, but then i took the sub out and played it in free air for a few seconds and came to the conclusion that it was the sub. it sounds almost as if your hitting the dust cap with ur knuckles or the license plate is vibrating. other than that, the …

I am wanting to replace my L7 10" in my 23ft Malibu boat. I have been running the L7 in a small sealed enclosure for most of the summer and been relatively happy. However I have been wanting more. I replaced the sealed box with a 1.6 cu slot ported box and gained a bit, but still I am wanting more. Issue in the boat is no cabin gain obviously and limited space for an enclosure. So this brings me to my question. Which 12" sub in the Fi lineup would be a good contender in the wide open environment that is a boat? I would like to keep the power requirements realistic. My current sub is powered off a MMATS 600.1 just for reference. Thanks for any advice.

Hey guys, feeling kinda bored this week, not a lot going on and i decided i want to hear a demo of Fi BTL N2's before i end up buying them and i would love to listen to all different sizes. I'm located in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. So basically anyone from Ontario in the Niagara region ill drive down for a demo. Hopefully theres at least one person! i have kept in contact with FI about my sub and so far i have been receiving prompt emails. the last email i sent was about 2 and a haf weeks ago, and was told they were waiting on the steel but they should have received it within 2 days. i figured since i ordered a shirt and some decals that may be the issue? i decided to post on here incase there are other users still waiting. please dont take this as a bad review towards your customer service because i am content with the prompt email responses. i just like keeping in touch, so i wont end up waiting 10 months like other users due to miscommunication

I checked my invoice info a couple weeks ago on the Fi website i think. It told me the status of my order i cant remember too well but i cant seem to find it on the website. Does anyone know what i am talking about? Or links to where i can find this... Thanks for the help.

Sad that the windshield imploded before I could get a full burp out of it and show what it can really do maybe next time. So far I have had a IASCA and now a USACi SQ judge say they have never heard music so loud and so clean. Makes me smile all this hard work and tweeking is coming around. so i got my new bl in yesterday and when i turn it up it sounds like its bottoming out or something.. when i turn the bass up it starts to make like a fluttering sound or something... im running a hifonics brz 1700 with 0 guage in a 2.2 cube box at 34 hertz ... the only thing i think it could be is my battery, im dropping volts like crazy, so could that be the problem... idk if its bottoming out or just distorting really bad... i can post videos up if needed...

Im new to the site, currently have 2 12" pioneer champ series pro running off a cpt1-3200d power acoustik amp. 0 gauge stinger wire with all pioneer 5way door speakers + pioneer 3200dvd head unit. I know im going to need to upgrade my alt. and buy an capacitor as well. Im lookin to buy either one 15btl or 18btl to throw in with these 12s or 2 15s to replace them. Just looking for any good ideas on what sub to get, not worried about the $ either so let me know! thanks

Wat up! I just bought two fully loaded BL 15s.the new version with 4" coils.they are dual 1. I was giving them some free air at around 20-25 hrtz on my sundown 1500d for aBout 10 mins at the most.they BARELY got a Lil warm.nothing bad tho.volume just under half way with the bass knob about half gain.just trying to loosen up the spiders and break in the suspension.they are soooo incrediblly stiff lol but on one of them, as I was pushing up and down on the cone,I see a tiny quarter inch tear in the middle of the spider.was soo bummed..does this need to be re coned or Wat?like i said It's brand spanking new,and it still sounds great and bumps hard,doesn't make any weird noi…

Just got the new Fi BTL n2 18", opened it up, its a 18" and its an N2 I know, but looking at my old one which I got in March 2011, this one only has 3 circular holes for "cooling". My old one has 12 square openings for the cooling. The basket is also a bit different I believe, Can somebody help me out? Im just wondering if this BTL n2 has cooling or not. Thank you. Got some of the recone glue for a 12" Q Got the 60oz (have some other subs to do too) My question is, what is the mix ratio? I'd assume that its 2:1 (Black:clear) Just don't want to mess it up. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

I know what the universal option is for but I was wondering does this make the sub weaker? I'm ordering two dual 1s and it says if you don't get the universal option then your sub will be optimized per the coil resistance. Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot seem to find anything that has to do with returns on their website(maybe I am just missing it). I would not really expect them to take returns seeing as how the drivers are made to order, but now I have a brand new Q10 sitting in the box that I cannot use. If anybody has any idea wether or not they take returns, please let me know.

$500 is my budget including shipping and in a 4 to 4.5 cubic feet box powered by a hifonics brz2400.1d . I was looking at the 15" btl, 15" xcon, and the 15" zcon for $30 more. I'm going for spl, i just want it to be loud. also i look at 2 ssd 15 is a slightly smaller box then recommended. what are you suggestions/recommendations ?

Im really set on getting a 12 Q but as i saw pictures of it i saw it in very big boxes.I was wondering if one 12 would need the same box size as two(like the picture at the bottom)..this question sounds stupid even to me a newb,but the reason i ask is because i saw a video of a 12 Q with the same box as the one in the picture below the only diffrence is there was only one 12 in the box and not 2.The picture at the bottom is a 2001 maxima just like mine so if you look at it you can roughly tell how much space im working with(kinda since the box is covering the whole trunk)..Also im pretty sure im going to get the 12 Q so i was wondering what would be the best amp for it? i…

Well, just wrapped up a pretty decent showing at Slamology. Dbdrag in a trunk sucks but I did bring my strength in Bass Race to the lanes. I decided to run Street C for Dbdrag and ended up coming in 3rd with a 143.4db. For bass race, I took home 1st in the 129.9 class! I have yet to do a legit meter of me inside my car with my new alt for the SSNW class, but outside my car I snagged a 143.8, and I'll probably do a mid 144 when I sit inside it. Anyways, I made a flex vid with my phone of the low meter score, but ear damaging BTLs. Also, I have a Crescendo XST2s distance test off an Arc Audio FD2100.
