Hi, I ordered an 18" Fi BTL about a month ago, and have been loving it ever since. Great, chest tightening bass at high volume, and nice deep tones at lower volume. I'm running it off a Memphis Audio Mojo 4000 watt amp. I compete ever so often, just to see what kind of numbers I'm putting up, and this sub has been keeping me on top. The only mistake I made was when ordering, I ordered dual 1 ohm coils, and I should have ordered the dual 2. My subs wired @ 2 ohm (under 2000 watt) for daily driving, and for comps I'll wire it down to 0.5 ohm (4000 + watts). well its been about a month and im happy to report that my subs are breaking in a little....they are still very stiff so they arent all the way broken in yet but they sound better every day My laptop is broke so i cant meter it ATM and i dont really have a place to do it anyway (or the time to do it) but to me, knowing what it DID sound like, i have to say its louder and has more authority. I can tell by watching the hairtrick vids i made that there is a difference. Also, i usually use the large screws with #3 heads to hold the subs in but for the past year almost i have had to use the "gold" screws from home depot and put them in at an angle to get to "fresh meat". …

Is this a strong amp for the BTL? I'm debating between the BXi2608D and T1500-1BD any sujjestions between the two and only the two. Thanks.

what size and type of wire should i connect to my sub i'm using 4 12" Fi Q on 2 crescendo bc2000d. and i've been using some speaker wire i got from an audio shop. but i wanna do this right. so what size should i use Oxygen Free Copper or Copper Clad Aluminum / should i do copper for pos+ and aluminium for neg-, or go only copper or aluminum. i'm gonna get all my wiring from knukonceptz

well i have heard in opther forums that you guys dont include screws for the mounting of the dubwoofer... so is this true? and if this is the case which kind of screws should i use... thanks

i need two amps to power 4 15 btl loaded. i want them to be clean power, low voltage, stable at 1 ohm or lower, be able to get 2k-2.5k a piece. i will be entering in spl comps and need something that is going to stand out if ya know what i mean? i want mid 150's, this is going to be in a nissan p/u truck ext. cab that i am going to put a camper shell on and have it walled in! also what does everyone think about the z-1, i have concidered 2 of them because the are 12.5 volt required and the are strappable.

Whats the difference? Also for a mono block amp i should buy a dual 2 ohm fi?

Alright so about a year ago a tinsel lead burned up on my 12" Q and so i just took it into a local audio shop and they said that the company up in minneapolis that they go through would fix it for 70 bucks and if it ever f'd up again they would fix it for free...i got it fixed and then it sat for like 9 months ....took it out when i got a new car in may and last week it happened again but this time it burned a hole in my spider and this gay company claims that there is only a 90 day warranty on repairs so now im f'd....even though it is completely their fault and they did shatty work on it in the first place....so my question is how much is it going to cost for fi to fix…

Normally I wouldn't have bid on an auction with so little info but I did. I received the sub its in perfect shape looks practically brand new. hey guys im running to sundown saz1500ds strapped at 2 ohms, and 2 btl 18s dual 2s in my s10. i recently reconed. when i slam on them for a few minutes, one woofer gets hot real quick, the other gets warm. they both slap just as hard, but i cant figure out why the one woofer is getting hotter. i checked the tinsels where i soldered it looks good, same as the other one. all the connections are good as well, im using all 8awg wire. i set the gains using a multimeter and there gettin the right voltage the calculator gave me (3000w at 2 ohms - 77.5v) . i also swiched the woofers so the one getting hot was on the other side, and its still only that woofer getting obnormally wa…

Ok i am obviously looking into a FI subwoofer but am confused and having difficulty choosing which one i should get. I heard the BL has more output but the Q hits lower. I want to push my sub at around 1000 wrms. I have a pontiac grand prix and want something that is gonna rumble and turn heads but be able to put out power. The main thing i want to do is put my friends to shame who think their 10" audiobahn is the stuff. Please help me decided. I need opinions. Thanks !!

Just some piccy's of my box build. 1.2 cubes ported at 35 hz. Haven't figured out if I'm going to do a slot or a round port. I have a pair of Q 15's that I have had since november 2006. I had them in my old 89' Range Rover in 8Cubes tuned to 30Hz. I loved them like that. Well I just got a 1995 Integra hatchback. I have them sealed 5.1cubes after disp. and WOW. I thought they were a nice driver before but being sealed they are on a whole other level. I just cant describe it. The bass is so accurate, smooth, and beautiful sounding. It just sounds 'solid'. They play lower and also hit the higher frequencies better. They play so much flatter (not peaky). Just as the title says, I'm looking at the best amp for my money to power my single SSD 18. Currently I will be using my 700W receiver as my amp untill I get a new amp for christmas. Sundown seems to be super duper popular, and apparently the best amps around. But the problem is that for the money, I won't be able to get 800W RMS if I go with sundown. I know its probably not recommended at all, but I found a Boss Audio amp rated at 750W RMS at 4 OHMS for $155. It didn't have any bad reviews from what I read. I have a 12" bl and today I am pretty sure I blew the voice coils on it. I was driving around and the sub cutout and I opened the back of my jeep to see that there was smoke coming out of the port. I know for sure that I had everything wired right and i didn't even have the gain up that high( a little over half). I am going to re-cone it but I was wondering if anyone knows what could have caused this so I don't blow the new I get. Thanks

Trying to get in contact with anyone at Fi is impossible, so maybe someone can help me out. Scott emailed me about 2 months ago saying that it was 75$ to re cone my SSD and add a few little upgrades. Now, can my SSD be re coned into a Fi Q? And how much would it be. I know the baskets are the same. When you send the sub back, do i have to pay for Shipping both ways? How does this whole thing work. I'm not going to pay for the re cone up front because what if they don't send my Sub back and i get screwed. Will they send me a bill in the mail of how much it cost for the re cone and for them to ship it back to me? Sorry for the questions, im Very new to this. Thanks Rulayd
