hi ive owned a fi bl 15 fully loaded for like 5 or six months I love it. last week I notice a weird noise coming from the sub and today it stop playing, im running a fosgate p8002 amp witch is around 900 rms and a pioneer head unit gain is set half way , well I took the sub out of the enclosure and one of the tinsel leads broke I have a soldering gun and I fixed it back but the problems from the noise is the spider that came loose from the cone so since I have a one year warranty on the sub what do I need to get it repair,,, please help I love the my bl a lot better than my other Rockford fosgate t215d2 right now i have Extreme Leads on the sub and thats was eating …

This might seem really horrible to start a forum about, but I feel like it is needed. I emailed FI through there contact tap asking questions about the Subwoofer I wanted to order. I waited a couple days and got no response(still nothing today). So I figured maybe it didn't send, or you know something happened and they didn't receive it. So I went ahead and ordered 1 18 inch SSD, about two and a half weeks ago. I have been checking my email everyday to see "awaiting fulfillment" go away and have a tracking number so I know it shipped. so allways hear people talk about how there dust cap is warm is it normal blah blah... and then say some or one is warmer then tha other......... but i never see people ask how hot is too hot!>? i know it will be warm just knowing how a sub works i know it will be warm... mine arnt too hot.. i dont think they are!

Well, first post here. I'm a long time member of caraudio.com/forums, but browse here frequently. So basically, I just bought a BTL off ca.com and want to know if it'll still be able to use it. It has a snapped tinsel lead and some holes burnt in the spider (see pics below). I was wondering if you guys think i'll be able to just replace the tinsel leads and use it like it is. I asked quite a few people over at ca.com about it, and most seemed to think I would be able to get away with just doing that. Obviously, i don't know much about recones/repairing subs. I already regret buying it...I'm on a super tight college budget and when I saw the cheap price I couldn't he…

Is there a longer than normal lead time right now? I would imagine tax return time is a busy part of the year for car audio companies. I know with my past orders from Fi they would end up being shipped after two weeks. Im at three weeks right now and havent gotten a shipping label notice yet. I know they'll "get here when they get here...but im just wondering if its gonna be a much longer than usual wait. Was hoping to get mine by this thursday so id be able to demo my 4 Sp4 15s at our annual company meeting, but not looking good now. Definitely be some disappointed coworkers lol.

Here is my install of 4 Fi X12's. Not any pics ome building the box, I was kinda in a hury but I have the finished product. Installed in a 1990 GMC Sierra ext cab long box, KnuKonseptz 1/0 gauge wire from batt to dis block, 4 gauge from dis block to amp. All 8 gauge inside sub box (I know, it's over kill.), Box is 8.2 cu ft after all displacements, port is 6.5"x16.5"x19.5" deep, tuned to 33 hertz. I will be installing Pioneer 6x9's and a Kenwood amp that I have. The head unit is Kenwwod. The amp is Power Acoustiks "4000.1". All stock speakers for now.

I want a lot of SPL in my vehicle. Not to sure what I want to do here. Should I go with 2 15" BTL's or 4 15" BL's??? Why?? Please help me decide on this question, thanks very much in advance.

I ordered the glue from Fi with my recone kits and it arrived with some sort of activator. Any ideas on how to use this in the recone method? Thanks

First my brothers now mine and I've read of several others... So of course I had to go about fixing it... ok so today i just recieved my brand new FI BL 15! i was so excited to see the box from FI, unable to contain my excitement i opened it up instantly and what i found was some great packing! wood bottom and top and 2x4's and some nice foam but once that top board came off i found that the dustcap wasnt the color i ordered(not a big deal to me at all).... but the thing that worries me is.. is it actually my sub? or did they just mess up the dust cap color? i ordered ice blue and got red(once again no big deal) just worried its not the right one, i ordered a fully loaded BL and the invoice is correct i know that. just worried it might be the wrong sub...

well thanks to my homies at ups for dropping my 05 xxx. 15. the bottom mag slug has been split all the way around and then shifted over to lock up the vc. sobasically the sub is fudgeed. well i was wondering if you guys can replace the slug, but also take the top assy off in one piece.(the xxx dc is almost priceless)

I don't understand what is happening with my order ? People receive their subs after just one month. I know Shawn has some health issues, Fi is moving (or has moved),...etc It's the third order I make from Fi. But this one is the longest. Well today we had a gathering amongst friends in Honolulu Hawaii with a Term lab to play around with.... Fi was killing the scene.... TL meter..... DB Drag setting... peak hold, sweeps and sine waves then music... We got to show off a 10" BL a 15" Q and an 18" BTL on a sundown 3000D.. I have to say Philips 10" BL is so damn impressive... some of the new guys that showed up were amazed at what that 10" BL could put out (numbers wise and sound wise)... Not many 10's on this island can boast a solid steady 142 on a TL with a single 10... The 15" Q first run was right up there with some of the other DD set-ups that were veterans.... I am about to order a recone for one of my 2005' XXXs and had a few questions about the recone itself. I know you have reconed alot of these woofers over the years and was wondering if you change the recone composition at all(besides your cone) when compared to the stock XXX composition? Will the woofer still have it's 1500-1600rms capability? Will the recommended enclosure change at all? I was able to effectively salvage the original XXX full face dust cap. Can it be re-used with your recone? In addition to the woofer I am about to recone, I received another misaligned 2005' XXX motor in the purchase. Do you have the ability to re-align the motor and would you be willing…

Is it comparable to the Q or BL? i just want 1 12" sub that will sound nice and still get loud in a ported box. this is my first option. Or i would get 2 12" CV vmax. either would be powered by a kicker zx750.1(900rms) Opinions?

I got in touch with you guys about a Recone for my 15" Fully loaded BTL, I talked to scott and was told the price, i then proceeded to Paypal scott teh monies and that went through on January 11'th. On January 14'th I received a UPS Notification from FI saying that my orders Billing Information has been Received, and from the 14'th until today the 21'st it still only says that my orders Billing Information has been Received, it has not said any other tracking number details or that they have even received a package from FI in the first place so far.
