ok so the amp set up i have is a soundstream rubicon 2500 running to 1 fi q 15 1500 rms sub. i have the sub wired this way from amp.. negative to negative positive to positive. and then on the other side i have positive to negative.. is that a 4 ohm wiring?? my amp is only 1 and 2 ohm stable.. is it ok for my subwoofer to be wired that way?? my imput level is up to about 80% and my bass knob i dont go pass half the volume. the only reason why my imput level is up that high was becuase when tunning it it was at the only level that it picked up good bass.. will this kill my sub??? the FI Q has all the bells and whistles.. its fully upgraded.. Class D Rubicon Mono Channel …

Using 2 sundown 1500d's. Strapped. 2ohm for daily, and .5 for comps. I'd also like to build another box and possibly compete. Wanting loud with decent sq. Will be going in a hatchback. I have 8ish cubes. I'll be using recommended enclosures.

Ok so i was wondering if anyone here can reccomend a 1ohm 1000w RMS mono amp to use with a 12" SSD? I chose BP power and copper coil for the options. Also i was wondering if there would be a difference between 1000w RMS @ 4 ohm and 1000w RMS @ 1 ohm. Right now its running 4ohm but the highs are not that loud. Lights dim more but its not as loud compared to lower notes.

i went to the local car audio store and one of the employees told me that 15's are unable to play very many rock songs because they "simply cant hit those notes, its impossible" he said. was this guy just feeding me a ton of bs to sell me his product or did he know what he was talking about? ( he also has never heard of FI ) ive had my heart set on two fi bl 15's but after that i dont know if i should reconsider and get 2, maybe 3 12's or even like 4 10's? ( kind of exaggerating, but not completely ) ive got a ford explorer so i have the room to fit this amount of subs.

Today I met a guy (goes buy oldschool on termpro) who does like 155.9 with two twelves in db drag. Well personally I wouldnt want to compete with him *street b* so i was looking at doing a street a setup but i have heard that the 10" btl's are not musical that they are just for burps only. So a few questions: 1> How musical are they??? 2> How much power can they handle??? (looking @ 2000 watts right now) 3>Would doing one 12, or 3 8" be better???

Just some piccy's of my box build. 1.2 cubes ported at 35 hz. Haven't figured out if I'm going to do a slot or a round port. I've done the calcs for both in winISD and I'm ready to do whichever one is easier. Trusty table saw! And a piece of wood. Stack of wood and toolboxes... My blue prints. I am a engineer, after all! This is where its at right now. I'm thinking about the port and whatnot. The top will be skinned with a 1/8th wood, I forget what it's called at the moment, it's in some of the pictures. It'll have foam on top and covered with black vinyl, it's the new center console in my pickup. Sub placement will be a little different, but when I get to that…

Which size q would sound better for rock/metal fast double bass music? Would the 10" hit the higher frequencies better?

Alright hoping someone could help me out I need some measurements on a 10" Q. I need total height from bottom of magnet to top of surround and I see the mount depth is listed as 6.5". Is that depth listed the actual depth of the sub or does it include airflow room. If so about how much clearance do I need behind the magnet. I need to know because I plan on building some custom enclosures in my new magnum. I want to fit them in the rear pockets and still leave room for the lower tray to open. Anyone done these on here before and have any tips? Thanks guys.

I purchased a new pair of 10" RE MT recones and the surround is about a full inch from the surround landing on my 12 spoke baskets. I've only seen RE MT subs built with 12 spokes so my question is are the recones faulty or are there different size 12 spoke baskets? Mine are just black 10" 12 spokes with the correct size spider landing (8.25 I believe) I e-mailed about this on wednesday and haven't received any response. Just want to know if i need new baskets or if i need to return the recones.

Im sure your just super busy but wanted to see if you happen to get a chance to build it or ship it out. Paypal address was [email protected] . Just figured this would be the best way to get in contact with you. Thanks Corey

It's been a few months since Scott posted about the 10" spiders. Are they here yet? I have a 12" Eclipse basket with a variation of the TC9 motor and a pair of 15" Lightning Audio/TC-3000 baskets with 3HP neo motors that need recone kits. Also, since these are not the standard baskets that Fi uses, will I have to send in the subs for the recones or can a kit be built? -Robert

Okay here is the setup. 10 inch SSD in a 1.7ft^3 enclosure w/ 6" Aero ~26" Effective The goal is to peak around 48 - 52hz. I have a 20.1 for power (D2 SSD). Vehicle is a 1998 Explorer TWO QUESTIONS 1 - Do you think it will be effective? Or a GOOD place to start? 2 - Do you think it will take the 20.1 for burps?

I need grilles for my 2 10" SSD's. Not the metra universal mesh ones please. I dont like the look of thoes. Does anyone know of any that I can use? I am not sure that grilles from Kicker, Fosgate, Polk, etc will clear the excursion of the Fi's. Please help if you can. I need them for protection more so than looks, with the exception of that horrible mesh, anything will do. Thanks in advance

I have ordered a 10 ssd sealed Qts. Looking to build a custom sealed box for my 2010 camaro. Since i want it to be as small as possible, I am looking at doing 15" w by 11"h by 9"d. Do these dimensions make sense? Would a different shape or size make the sub play better? Thanks

Just want to say how happy. I am I do not regret buying these subs they are all they are cracked up to be. Well worth the money and wait they are everything I've been looking for and then some. They are amazing subs and if your considering a sub from FI do not hesitate. Here's some pics as for a review They drop low when I say low I mean low. Think gut wrenching. I put on the silicon sound system test which goes through cycles and I could not belive what I was feeling and hearing the lower it got the more they shined. I did'nt realize what kinda power I had back there as none of the other subs I've had on that amp have really made me say wow. I mean they were loud …

Recently I purchased two 12 inch ssds from Fi car audio. I was looking for something loud yet retain good sound quality. I first built a box which is 4.5 cubes tuned to 33 hz. I have them hooked up at 1 ohm to a US amps Md2. At first i thought the low end was lacking so i contacted scott and told him and he told me about the copper coils vs the aluminum coils. Well the copper coils made that much of a differnce because i love these subs. They play the lows nicely and get loud. The sound quality could be better. But being that im a bass head it doesnt bother me at all. Compared to a sx which everyone wants to compare them to. I would say they are alike except more musical …
