I am going to build my box for the sub before it arrives but not complete it fully until I have made sure it fits etc. Now I need some help with the dimensions. I have this plan who someone sent to me and I am wondering if it should work pretty good. Base is 24depthx24heightx36width port is 5" wide and 27.25" long 22.5" height. Is this correct with 8cu ft box and 1.77 cu ft port? so 8cuft tuned to 32hz? any input? anything will be gladly appreciated.

hey guys, i ordered a btl 15 fully loaded and now im deciding my amp. I was wondering if it is safe to run the dual 2 ohm sub down too 1 ohm so i could just get a audioque 2200 or do i need to run it at 2 ohms and get a audioque 3500?

I got in touch with you guys about a Recone for my 15" Fully loaded BTL, I talked to scott and was told the price, i then proceeded to Paypal scott teh monies and that went through on January 11'th. I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000-1bd amplifier and I am looking for a good quality subwoofer. What would be the best 12" subwoofer for me to get for around 1000 watts rms if I am looking for sound quality with decent spl? I have a bassworx 12" ported subwoofer enclosure that is tuned at 42hz and is about 1.65 cu ft. I want to get an Fi Q 12" subwoofer but the recommended tuned frequency on it is between 28 and 33hz with a recommended minimum volume of 1.75 cu ft. I was wondering how much this would affect my subwoofers performance and its quality?

got a 15" BL and i bought a cadence amp kit and it came with 12 gauge speaker wire was wondering if that size would be okay or should i got alil bigger?

So my grandfather comes down for a visit in his new car, one of those two seater fast driving Caddy's, nice car. He sits and listens to my system, seems to love it. Out of no where this 72 yr old throws me in his car and cranks up his radio. He has an SQ setup using 3 10" eclipse subs (not sure what type, but nice), and two sets of Rainbow Germaniums. That stuff sounded nice. For the first time I was listening to something that didn't just throw out so much bass that is almost all you could hear. Im ordering 2 18" Bls running off my one kicker 2500.1 i already have one order and i m about to get my second one ordered. i want to know who is Also Running 2 18's of any series of Fi audio. and how does it sounds. ive never ran 18's before and im very curious on how they perform.

Alright guys i have an old box for 2 15's. Its 10 cu.ft tuned to like 33 hz. Im wanting to get some new Btl N2's. But im not sure if i want to stick to 15's or cut the holes out bigger to hold 2 18's. What do you think i should do? Never had 18's. So Im trying to squeeze the most spl's out of it as i can. Also i will be using my Memphis Mojo 4kw amp.

Hey guys, I was out at a local SPL 2x Show here and ran my Q 18's Off my JBL BP1200.1 in a 16.8CuFt box Tuned to 25Hz (Its made for LSQ not SPL My highest was a 143.7dB @ 36Hz !! Taking 1st in Street Max 1-2 NW And in bass Race I was competing in the semi finals and finished in 3rd with an average of 134.7 in the 139.9 runs It was awesome, i love these subs they are bottom end beasts... Next show in sept im gonna try an SPL box for em to see how they do tuned higher with more power.. I cooked my JBL on the Last run hehehhehe

I recently purchased my two new Q 18's, and they arrived about a week ago. The UPS guy dropped the boxes and he bolted to the truck. I went outside to bring them in when I noticed a box was severely torn, retaped, and then ripped again. I know this was UPS, since my previous experiences with Fi, as well as the other box, have always yielded nice packing. The subs seemed fine, but I also ordered a T-shirt and banner for my car. The banner fell out of the hole in the box, I am guessing, and the shirt had a hole in it. Just got my recone for my RE SX, got it fully loaded with drilled compression plug. This is my first time dealing with the compression plug, so I just want to make sure I apply it correctly. It goes on the inside of the coil gap between the coil and underneath the dustcap right? It probably won't be able to stay in place, so would I need to glue it down?

Hey everybody, I'm new here and new to Fi products. I heard a single 15" in a local parking lot and was blown away. I'm looking to purchase an 18" BTL (any other suggestions?) enclosed in a ported box. I'm trying to stay under the $1500 mark . I really have no idea what amp I should purchase or if 2 15" will be louder. I'm 16 and I don't have my car yet, but I will be getting a 2004 Pathfinder. P.s I'm trying to out do my friends 2 15" mojos with a 3000 watt stetsom amp. Any suggestions on a set up would be awesome (and the final cost of course) Thanks, Daniel

I went on a trip today and one of my subs stopped working. I noticed that one of the coils was no longer working. The coils were series so I just ran the one sub and eventually one of its coils stopped working also. I tested the coils with an ohm meter and each sub has a coil that reads open. Am I right that something like this is not covered under warranty? I am not really sure why the coil opened up since I was probably giving the subs no more than 1500 watts between the two. I also have a voltage meter in my car and noticed that my voltages stayed around 14 volts when the first one blew while on the highway. These subs are dual 1 ohm coils and I am powering them…

Alright.. first of all excuse my terminology.. probably use some 'wrong' terms in this post, bare with me here is some backround.. 1 18"BTL, 1 SAZ1500D, 2 Kinetik HC2000's, all 1/0 knu wire. Had some guy build a box for me.. thought he knew what he was doin.. i could have been wrong.. the box seems strong.. very huge. I dont know the exact Cu Ft of the box, he told me tuning was around 32hz. This is my first big system.. ive had tons of 12's but no 15's or 18's. What is the difference between the 12" Fi BL 3" coil and the 4" coil. Will 4" coil make it handle more watts and/or make it louder. Or is it for cooling. If anyone knows the difference between the two please let me know. I am planning on ordering a sub really soon just need to know the difference and benefits of each.
