Just wondering if production has begun on the BL's with 4" voice coils? Ordered my 12" on black Friday so I've very excited about its arrival. Haven't seen anyone posts, pics or info about them on the forums so I'm thinking no one has them yet. I know priority was for the N2's because of the extra machining, it would be great to get an update. Thanks, Jupiter

I am about to order a recone for one of my 2005' XXXs and had a few questions about the recone itself. I know you have reconed alot of these woofers over the years and was wondering if you change the recone composition at all(besides your cone) when compared to the stock XXX composition? Will the woofer still have it's 1500-1600rms capability? Will the recommended enclosure change at all? I was able to effectively salvage the original XXX full face dust cap. Can it be re-used with your recone? In addition to the woofer I am about to recone, I received another misaligned 2005' XXX motor in the purchase. Do you have the ability to re-align the motor and would you be willing…

I spoke with a delivery driver with UPS today. He told me that internet sales have increased by one billion dollars in the last couple weeks. He also told me that due to the increase of shipments from online purchases to expect shipping delays. In some neighborhoods you may see drivers delivering packages on golf carts. Everyone buying their christmas gifts early offline has increased shipments being handled substantially. Now you may get your items on time with no delay, but to expect them anyway because most shipments will be late due to the increase of volume in shipments. Now it will take even longer to get my fantastic Fi subwoofers I cant wait for them to get here…

so i have decided to go with fi subs and audique amps for my next setup. it will be going in a 99 grand prix gtp. budget is 1500 for the bass setup. it will be playing mostly hard rock and metal, with a little rap on the side. goals for this system are mostly output, i obviously don't want it to sound like complete crap, but the main goal is output. also this is my daily driver, no comps for me. so after a little background info on what i'm looking for, back to the root question... which setup would have more output? option 1: 4 fi ssd 12's running on an audioque 3500 option 2: 2 fi btl 12's running on 2 audioque 2200 plan was to go ported to 33 hz on either option. opt…

This is the only black Fiday sale we are doing. Don't ask for anything else..this is it. We use a similar motor design for an OEM client, and now we've got a ton of them...so we thought we'd do another black FiDay sale since people were asking if we were. We're not saying a time frame of how long they will be on the website, once they are on and up they will be available to purchase, once they are gone they are gone. I will announce when they are coded and up on the website for purchase on this forum. Old X series 10's and 12's with pricing: $75 - 12" D4 for one (1) $70 - 10" D4 for one (1) 5 bucks off of each at two (2) 10 bucks off each sub at four (4) Plus shipping to …

This is the standard replacement for the Gen1 and Gen2 BTLs. It has similar power handling and options. The heatsink/inductance ring which was an option on the Gen2 is now integral to the design. We spent quite a bit of time testing the sinking and cooling to ensure that the Neo magnets used would not suffer degradation due to heatsoak (a problem which plagues other designs). Form followed function with the motor and is why these new versions are a fairly radical departure from the last designs. Weight loss is significant compared to the 11.25" diameter magnets used in the Gen2 motors. More info to come both on the site and here. We are trying to get pics for the N…

ok i ordered two 12" black "Fi"day x series woofers. should i put them in a ported or sealed box? i can locate the recommended volume. if ported would be better what should i tune the box to. also what should i set my crossover frequency at. i will not use bass boost at all in fact my bass on my headunit will be -2 and 0 on my amp. depending on what i tune my box to i will set my subsonic filter 2hz less than that. i just want the most output possible from the woofers without risking damaging them

I had time to get things rolling, so the old style Xs are back up in D4 coil and 10" and 12" sizes. 10" D4 $65 ea 12" D4 $75 ea Starting with a cast aluminum basket for a rigid foundation, it uses a double stack motor with a 2” copper voice coil wound on a black anodized aluminum former. A poly cotton spider and curvilinear cone with multilayered foam surround keep things controlled under the toughest of conditions. Far from entry level, the Old School X Series provides deep, detailed, and powerful bass from both sealed and ported enclosures. 250W RMS and 16mm Xmax. Great subs in smaller systems or monsters in multiples for cheap Discounts of $5 per sub on orders of 2-…

Edit: The option is up on the site. It is an extra $50 to go to the 4" coil. Brings RMS power handling up to 1500W per sub. We were sitting on this one until after the new year, but have decided to release it now given the amount of inquiries we have had regarding 4" coiled subs. We will be adding a 4" coil option to the BL Series by the end of the week. This allows for more thermal capacity over the standard 3" coil. Spec wise it does change things some, but enclosure recommendations will remain the same. In testing (about 9 months back and again last week) we saw some solid gains in the mid band with similar output near tuning to the 3" coiled version. The midban…

Hey guys, I am looking at getting 4x 10" woofers (hopefully from Fi) and it looks like I am stuck between the BL and the SSDs. I like the SSDs because they can be put in a smaller box, but I like the BLs beucase they have better performance than the SSDs. My question is how much better? I dont think currently I will be able to toss 8k watts at all four 10s like the BLs require, but I will be able to eventually. I have the electrical to back it up as well. I am trying to switch from a single 15 to 4 10s and have the ability to probably almost double my power eventually. I am pushing a single 3500D with a 350 amp alty and three huge bats.

i have just bought two 15 fi bl's daul 2 used on cl. i knew one was going to need a recone so am planning on doing both. I'm running a mtx 81000d to one in a ported box i threw together just to see what each one sounded like box is little over 3 1/2 cubes, an tuned at 32. i get a clipping/slapping sound from the speaker when i turn my gain up past 1/2 way with the vol turned up on the head unit. an (h.u. settings are flat). question: could i just be clipping it? does anyone else get a leed noise? how can i tell what year it is for recone purpose? Thank you for your help any thing i may have left just ask doogie
