So I ordered a Dual 1 ohm Fi SSD on July 10th, but I actually need a Dual 2 ohm - Is it possible to change the order at this late date? Is there anything I can do? Really wish Fi had a phone number so I could contact them immediately! Feels like I just threw $300 down the drain, I can't believe it! Please help!

Id like to say hi to every one since i am new to the forum. I am considering buying 2 Fi SSD 12" and i was wondering which amp would be the best for these subs. Also which gauge wiring would be best and any other things i would need to get the best performance out of these subs.

After helping my father with my dying stepmother(cancer), she pasted away on July 9th, and I have been helping my dad with everything. But now I have time to spend helping Fi and Ascendant again. I'm sorry I was gone without a trace, but I was going threw the family thing. Im am back woriking for Fi and Ascendant on a part time basis, while going back to school. As soon as my Magnum SRT-8 demo vehicle is done, I will be going to dealers in the southern states. So just wanted to say "Hi" and "I'm back"!

  10. i was gettin ready to do a few things last nite on the caddy and i wanted to make sure everything was still working good so i tossed in a Metallica CD. Dont worry bassheads, there will be PLENTY of low-end, deep bass playing in this thing soon enough. I just cant get over how this thing sounds on rock so i had to make another vid veBR01pIejE its hard to get that sub excursion when kick drums move so fast but you can tell if you look they are doing there thing and very much under control too video does it NO justice, once again lol.....i have to say that because the camera mic does not show how good this thing sounds....at least my new camera doesnt distort as bad from…

  11. I just looked at my woofers, and noticed the "Chrome Red Fi" is coming off the cone. It isn't peeling from the edge (like at tip of the F or I as if something peeled it back) It is coming from the middle part of the logo as it bends over the dust cap. It almost seems like the foil-ish vinyl is flexible enough to follow the curve of the dust cap? I think standard vinyl would have been fine? Anyway, anyone else have any issues like this? Is it possible to get replacement logo stickers for the dust caps?

Hi all, i know that 1/4-20 will work, but will 5/16-18 bolts work? i will be using tee nuts and bolts to hold the sub in. the sub is the Fi Car audio BTL 12". basically just want the biggest bolt that will work. im sure there are plenty of people out there that can measure the mounting hole size and the rubber seal c'bore size. I just want to get the stuff on order and installe din the boxes before the sub gets here so its a quick intall. also i would assume the 18"s have the same sized mounting holes and c'bore in the rubber seal? Thanks in advanced, Anton Miller

Hello. I was looking for a 12" sub that has good SQ, and quite a bit SPL. It will be going in a regular cab truck, with a box that will have between 1.1 and 1.6 cubes. The amp (still unsure) will probably put out 1000 rms, or more. I was not planning on doing any kind of electrical mod (extra battery, etc...)( maybe the Big 3?). I was thinking either the Q or the BL. Could someone tell me there opinion on wut they think would be good for me?

I'm sick of my mediocre system, and its only been about 3 weeks. My DD m1 did eventually turn on, but is emitting a lot of rf noise. So yay for new amp. I am looking for 1200-1500 watts @ 1 ohm. My budget is 600 dollars. To power a 15" Q. Current prospect amps: US xt4000d DD M1a Diamond D6 1500.1 Electrical Upgrades: None yet. eventually a 180 amp excessive amperage alt and a kinetik power-cell. Power wire is currently 4 gauge with a 150 amp mini anl fuse 8" from the battery. Big 3 is not done yet, it has been too damn cold. The internal Box dimensions will be: 14" tall x 20" deep x 26" wide. 48 sq inches of port (4"x12") 25 inches long Box will be constructed out of 3/4…

I currently have a 12" L7 kicker DVC 4ohm With a 3.75^ 3.0cubic feet at 35hz enclosure. Im loooking into getting a subwoofe that has good sound quality that can possibly get loud and sound clean. The amp ihave is a kicker mono amp 08 ZX 750.1. It is 2ohm stable. Accoriding to its birth sheet if i can remember correctly, it was putting out 823 rms watts I was looking into the 12" JL audio W6 v2. BUT I was looking at the 12" Fi Q So i was leaning towards it... My car is daily driven and im not sure about the options for the Fi Q sub. I am a noob to this car audio stuff and dont really know what is what. Since i am looking for SQ i dont know wether i should go sealed or por…

ok guys so i came across an alt on ebay and its pretty and i was wondering if you guys could take a look at it and let me know what you guys think because i just dont have the funds right now to buy a dc as much as i want too. Iv been told that some people just take alt's from other vehicles and whind the crap out of them to make them produce more power but im not too sure about that. i really need a new alt because my civic only has a little 70a alt which prob wouldnt handle a 4channel amp lol. ok so here is the ebay link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HIGH-OUTPUT-ALTERNATOR-HONDA-CIVIC-01-02-03-04-05-160A-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1e635e83bcQQitemZ130516157372Q…

  22. At the end of this month I will be purchasing an Fi Q12 for the great north. It will be installed in a 2005 jimmy 2door with lots of room. Atm I plan on using a Sounqubed Q1-1200D. At 2 ohms it states 870x1 at 2ohms and 1470 at 1ohm. Im wondering do you think running it at 2ohms will give the Q12 enough power that it sounds good and not sluggish or do I have to go at 1ohm. Will running it at 1ohm take away some of the reponse/clearness of the Bass? Should I go with the Q1-2200D for 2ohm? Would rather not do that as it is almost 200 bucks more. planning on using a ported box unless you have a better suggestion. Thnx. This is the beginning of a new build. Other component…

I like loud and yes the 4 Q15's Sealed in LOUD!!!!, but I think I may change up so I don't have such a huge box in the back. When I was running only 2 Q15's ported in my magnum, my boy was running the single 18" BTL ported in his Impala and we were hitting identical #'s. He was pushing the BTL with a Power Acoustic 2000 and I was pushing the 2 Q's with a US Amps MD2. We both metered 152.7 legal on an AC mic. Once I stepped up to a 4 pack of Q15's and an IA 40.1 @.5ohms, I got about a 5 db increase and alot of air movement, which makes for nice hair videos..... I guess what I am wondering is....with an 18" BTL in 8cubes ported properly and tuned to 32hz and the sam…

  25. OK well i had this box i made in my single cab pick up for my single cab pickup and well atm its tuned pretty low....i hit lows real badass...but the highs suck. SOOooo i am going to go ahead and make a new box that will be tuned differntly. What do you all prefer i mean i want loud bass that can be felt and heard. THe lows can be felt nicely and i can do small window shakes but i was told if i tune the box higher it would hit harder but of course lose sq.... I was thinking of tuning my box to 36. The subs btw are 2 Fi Bl 12'. Well the question i am really asking i guess is what would i achieve if i tune the box low(30) compared to high(37) My videos here http://www.youtu…
