I been to the Fi site and looked through the specs for my BL 15 and found 1000 watts rms. Is that a starting point? Do the subs handle more power as you add features, or do they just handle the 1k better.

Well I got used to my one bl and now I want something louder. My current setup is a memphis 1500d (1500 watts @ 2ohm) pushing one 15" fully loaded bl in 3.8cuft tuned to 32hz. Thats after all displacement. So I have another 1500d sitting in the closet that I want to use as well. I figure I can fit a 7 cuft box maybe 8 if im lucky. What do you guys think I should do, get another 15" bl or sell mine and get something else? I would like to stay with fi subs and this is for a daily setup.

I am thinking of buying a 95-01 4 DR Blazer or 95-01 Explorer 4 dr and I want to start off with two 15" BL's (dual 1 ohm) ported and for the amp either a Sundown SAZ-3000D or a Hifonics Colossus. I was reading and the BL's seem to be what I want...The Q's are the Sound Quality woofer and The BTL is the all out SPL BASS MONSTER,and the SSD being the entry level woofer the BL' claims to fill the gap between the Q and the BTL. What ratio of SPL/SQ would you say the 15" BL's fit.Right now I have two 12" Type R's and they sound alright to me and get loud but I want more bass and better.I want those head craking hits and those low nut jumping shakes.I listen to lots of Metal …

Alright, first post here, but I'm not a newb. Been building boxes and installing for 9 years or so. I just ripped my wall out of my 01 Implala (4 RE SX 15s, Mojo 4000d, 5 batts...) and I picked up a pair of Q18s from a friend of mine. The following equipment is being used: Alpine 9886, ID Chameleon Components, old school Orion 2500d (the all silver one) and an old Orion 300.2, alt is an Iraggi 200amp. After I ripped my wall out I ran just the 300.2 on my components and ended up with some horrible alternator whine. I've never had whine before. I used some muting plugs and think I narrowed it down to either the deck or the RCAs. I also cannot turn my deck up to my normal l…

Does anyone have any news on the HT range from blueprint. There just doesn't seem to be any information or updates anywhere. Perhaps Nick can shed some light on this.

  9. I ordered an 18in Bl on 1/20/2013 using my dad's credit card and it sat there saying "awaiting payment" for a couple days now and I thought I put in some of the payment information wrong, so I reordered the sub using MY debit card. I've emailed Fi a few times and I just want to make sure that the first order doesn't get charged to my dad's card, I DO NOT WANT TWO SUBS!!!!! SOMEBODY FROM Fi PLEASE RESPOND.

I have a new 15in Q that will be going into roughly 3.5cu after port and displacement. Would it be ok to use one 6in round port with flared ends? Looking for 28-29hz tuning. I can do 43.75sq in with a 3.5 x 12.5 slot port but the box will be much more difficult to build. Which would sound better? This will be a console style box, sub forward and port will fire into the side wall.

  14. I have two sealed subs 47L enclosures built around the Peerless 830500 driver. This driver is rated at 12.5mm xmax. Details here: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=297-608 Extensive details about my sub here: http://www.linkwitzlab.com/thor-intro.htm Bottom line is that I would like more output as I am bottoming my existing subs. I'm okay with building new boxes but ideally I would like to use the same crossover as it is tailed to work with my main speakers (Linkwitz Orion) Assuming that the 28mm xmax spec of the Q12 is one way rather than p-p, this driver should give me about 6-7db of headroom. I modeled my 830500 vs the Q12 in WinISD and the re…

  16. I was hoping to get this resolved in a different manner. I sent my FI Q 12 in for repair at the beginning of June. Mr Shawn said he would fix it because it was under warranty. I emailed him in the beginning, and he said they were going to ship it back soon. Then I started getting no email responses. Long story short, it has been 5 months since I sent it in. This is a bit ridiculous. I paid good money for a good product. I JUST WANT MY PROPERTY BACK.

I think i will be ordering 2 of the 12' fi q's soon. My question is will these hit harder then my 2 kicker cvr's. I want something louder that hits harder but ive read the q's are more of a sq sub (which i want better sq too) so i didnt know if i should go with the Bl's or the q's My goal is louder than the kickers with better sound quality so any opinions?

Apparently it has integrated leads, stiffer spider, fullsized dustcap, and an original xxx vc. I was trying to figure out if that is just the standard recone with the leads option and spider option or if i need to ask for something imparticular. The guy who i got it from said it was done by scott at fi and he should remember him by name since he went to fi and dealt with scott while there i was hopin he was right but either way the guys name was treston rego

I am looking into putting two 10' BLs into a new Camaro. My question is this: Will a Memphis PR1.1000 or MC1.1100 be enough to get them off the ground adequately? I know it's not going to push their peak, but I was looking at using two 10' Memphis C3s instead of the BLs, but I'd rather have the BLs because I'm sure that they will outperform the Memphis subs. Any help or input would be great, thanks!

So I went through the elaboration of the two and am still confused. I will be running a DD Z1 on 2 - 12" BTL's...... I will be using them for daily street beating, and competing on the weekends. I will not be changing anything around (besides port frequency).... Options that I have chosen thus far: 3rd Magnet HiXmCoil So, do I want the cooling or P chamfer??? in advance

  21. I am going to purchase some FI subs. I am looking at 2 15's. I have been looking at the Sp415's but have been seeing alot of people have been going with the BL series. Now the BL N series is the neo mags which increase the cost. this is for my daily driver. I like my music loud. Here is some back story to where I am at. I went to a shop that took good care of me 10 years ago but all they wanted to sell me was JL audio. I think that is great equipment. Just not wanting to follow the heard. He sold me an alpine HD-137BT Head unit, 4 gauge amp wiring kit, JL 500/1, Arc Audio ARC 12d4 sub in sealed 1.25 cuft box. I have added polyfill, and had to turn up bass boost to …

Im looking into buying 2 15''s from Fi, the BL or the BTL. The only problem is since BTL is regarded somewhat as a SPL sub, Im curious if sound quality is lost in the process. So my real question is, do the BTLs have decent sound quality (in a well built box of course) and also how do the BL's sound?
