well i made it to my first show may 16 . < tnespl , rockyhill ct. > i came setup to play music, but ended up in woofer cooker class. so i did what i could with what i had setup. i had 1x btl 15 2x saz1500d ford explorer I got a 147.9 <still had some left> i am verrrrrrrry happy for my first try. now knowing what class i'm in i will build a fart box and do better. most important to me is that my kids wanted to compete and thats why i put this together. they had a great time, and want to do it again. thanks for the great deal on the recones. i was the only one with FI subs at this show, sparked a little interest after i ran.

Is there any other way to get a hold of Fi besides email? I ordered a BTL , and on my email receipt it said i ordered a dual 1-ohm, I needed a dual 2-ohm. I emailed them ( sales and orders) to let them know of the mistake but i haven't got a reply to let me know if it has been corrected or not.

ok so the amp set up i have is a soundstream rubicon 2500 running to 1 fi q 15 1500 rms sub. i have the sub wired this way from amp.. negative to negative positive to positive. and then on the other side i have positive to negative.. is that a 4 ohm wiring?? my amp is only 1 and 2 ohm stable.. is it ok for my subwoofer to be wired that way?? my imput level is up to about 80% and my bass knob i dont go pass half the volume. the only reason why my imput level is up that high was becuase when tunning it it was at the only level that it picked up good bass.. will this kill my sub??? the FI Q has all the bells and whistles.. its fully upgraded.. Class D Rubicon Mono Channel …

Ok if everything goes smooth I should have 4 ssd 12's. They are dual 2s, (the last version not the new ones) comming my way. The question I have for you guys is how many do you think I should use and what type of box. If its 4th or 6th order I will have to pay for a design (not a big deal). This is what I have 1993 toyota pickup regular cab (this is going to be a blow through) I dont have the alt installed yet but I am going to get the 150 amp alt on as a second 2 deka g31's Sundown saz-1500 do I do 2 in a 6th order at .5 ohm (iv ran the amp at half ohm already so Im not affraid there) do I do 3 subs at .33 ohms or 4 at 1 ohm and what are your ideas on box? This is g…

  13. Friends A few months ago i purchased a Sundown Amp SAE 1200D and a FIQ 12 Dual 2 Ohms. I need help in determing the massive cause of my voltage drop inmy 2006 SRT8 with a Batcap 400 and a BatCap 800. I not sure if my system is hooke dup in 1 ohm impedance or 2 ohm imedance. I know there are many experts here that can help me in just a few seconds. Attach is a picture of my amp and I have annotated where the wires are hooked up. I just need help in determining is the amp wires are in the correct locations. I specifically told the shop to set my subs up in 2 ohms but talking to everyone I think it is set up in 1 ohm impedance which I did not want. Is there anyone her…

hey guys! i would appreciate some imput from everyone here k so, right now i got 2 12" MTX Jackhammers with a sony xplod amp.. It pounds pretty hard but i've been doing some research, and im set on getting a FI 15" sub and a Hifonics amp.. But I've got a few questions - Is that $90 difference that i would be spending for the BL be worth it over the 15" SSD? (BL with Hyper Pole and Flatwind) (SSD with copper coil and BP Power) - Im looking at just a one sub setup, so do i order Dual 1 or Dual 2 ? the amp at 1 Ohm puts out 1200RMS and 2 Ohms is 900RMS would i hear a big difference in the BL over the SSD. Thnx guys!! Appreciate it

Im planing on getting a BTL 12, only one and wire it down to 1 ohm. I usually get Dual 2 , So do I still choose Dual 2? and How do you wire a single Dual 1? Thanks

  17. Hi, my Fi 15" BL has recently stopped working. Today i got it tested at my local car audio shop. They told me that one voice coil is not reading a resistance and the other voice coil is reading around 25 ohms. They also told me the voice coil does not look burnt, it is still light copper in color. They also said that nothing smells burned and that the coil is not melted. My question is, does this sound like something that would be covered under warranty? Is any of this indicative of something Fi does not cover in their warranty policy? I noticed they do not cover open voice coils but the audio people i saw were not able to tell if it is open. I live far enough away tha…

I have an Alpine deck and it has a subwoofer level feature. It goes from 0 to 15. My question is this the same thing as bass boost? I dont want to create more distortion for the sub then I need to. I have the bass boost all the way down on my amp. Im a noob so any positive feed back will be appreciated. Oh by the way I just got my 12" SSD with BP power and HQTS in a sealed 1.1 cu ft box. Running JBL BP 600.1 at 1 ohm. Hope to get anoher amp in the future, but first I'll need a better alternator. Whats good guys. So I'm new here as you can tell and I'm planning on getting a 15" Fi bl in my 03 civic. Lookin for some advice here, since i cannot get it at the 3 local shops as they all asked me what Fi is haha. Alright so I cant decide between the Audioque 1200d and the Sundown SAE-1200D. Just saw the Sundown here for $315, but I dont know whether or not this site is legit: Sundown SAE-1200D - Amplifiers - Power Max Electronics LLC If i get the AQ1200d, i would want it to do 1470 watts but it says it will have 5%THD, so will that not sound good?. I've heard the SAE-1200d could do 1500watts and sound good. If the AQ1200d will sound fine at 1470w i will get it, since it…

I have had my 12" BTL for over five months now. Around 4 months ago, i started hearing a poping noise on certain high notes. My first thought was that the box it is installed in caused the sub to reach its mechanical limits. The enclosure is 3 cubes after displacement at 34 hz. I know that this box is over the recommended specs, but i am only giving the sub 1000 watts from an Alpine PDX 1.1000. The sub is fully loaded and i have never heard any clipping out of the amp. When i noticed the popiing noise, I turned my amp gain down to around an eighth of a turn from zero. This gave me very little bass, but it kept the sub from poping so i was satisfied until i could fin…

Im In The Process Of Building New Box For My 87 Mustang. It Will Be For 2 BTLS's Around 8 Cubes Net. The Anticipation Was Killing Me So I just Went Ahead And Threw My Old Box Where The Passanger Seat Was to see how it performed on my SAZ-3000D At first i was amazed. Then about after 15 min. of Slamming it it wasnt as loud anymore and the BTL wasnt Able To Handle the Amp Half Way (Gain All Way Down) It was Already Reaching Its Limits And Bottoming Out. so i was pretty bumed as it sounded the same if not less than 2 memphis 12" subs. so i was looking making sure all the connections were tight and secure, and i decided to take my DMM and meassure the Voltage off the battery…

Hello everyone, new to posting on this site. I just ordered a ssd 12" and a AQ1200d. I can't wait! My last setup was a pioneer champion pro 12" and i have read so much great stuff about Fi. I hope you guys are right! I drive a 2001 Toyota Tacoma ext. cab so it should be pretty sweet. I'll be running it in a sealed box due to tight space and i like quick hits. I got it fully loaded with the H-Qts sealed option. I'm really looking forward to using Fi!

  25. I have a Rockford 1000bd, and I'm getting a box made 2.0cu ft tuned to 33hz. What sub will have a better output as far as SPL. 12" Fi Bl or (underpowered) Btl? The reason that I ask is because I don't want to spend the money to get a HO alt for this particular car. Volvo 1996 960. I currently have a 120 amp alt. I have a Pioneer Premier w3001 1000rms. and before I got the Rockford P1000, I had a Trash ass sony Xplod amp 400rms, which was from my last set up. the trash ass xplod amp and my old Kenwood 3012 400rms, sound completely better than the xplod and Pioneer Premier set up. So this is reason Im asking, I don't want to get a BTL and have it sound like…
