I got rid of my G35 and bought an Explorer which I decided not to keep, so I got myself an '07 Dodge magnum. I have a pair of Q15's and a US Amps MD2 running off of a hi-lo converter on the stock system, and it still sounds tremendous. In a couple weeks I am installing a new HU and some mids and highs, but mu question for you is....What subs would you run in a Magnum if you were going for a LOUD daily ground pounder that would meter well. Meaning, not an all out SPL setup. Stick with the Q's? Get a pair of 15" BTL's? A single 18" BTL? My new baby...

I really do hate asking this question, but I am curious. I only really see everyone running 15's and 18's, not 12's. Does anyone know how the 12" BTLs sound?? Or at that size would it be better to go with a BL or Q?

I'm thinking of getting one Q12 and powering it with a Kicker ZX1000.1 at 2ohms. I listen to mostly rap music and I'm looking for a sub that will give me accurate bass and can also give me great high and low bass. I hear the Q is great on low bass but I was wondering how is it at high bass? I know that getting a set of 10's would probably give me better high bass, but I'm looking for something that will give me a good mix of both.

This made me smile if its truthful. I hope to be able to break 110 dB once I get both of my amps strapped to my 15. But still, is it most likely his in car speakers doing that? Or is it his sub?

What I have now: 2006 toyota corrolla Cadence TXA1000D (1000rms @ 1 ohm) I have about 6.5ft^3 airspace before driver and port displacement I want one ported sub ( a 15" or prefferably an 18" if I have enough airspace after port and driver displacement) I'm undecided whether to go with SSD, Q, or BL with my airspace and power. This will be for a daily driver with an occasional trip to local competitions for fun, so a little on the SPL side. Any help would be greatly appreciated Beau

Hey Scott, I emailed you, but read that other recone thread about not supposed to email you other then shipping, so I thought I'd post here. (And sorry I didn't read that sticky earlier) Anyway, In previous emails, we discussed reconing a 12" Adire Brahma MKIII, and I have the sub packed and ready to go. I just need a quote on the cost of shipping the sub back to me when it's done. I live in Honolulu, HI 96819. Thanks.

I have an older XXX that needs a recone. I sent an email a week or so ago to get paying details for a recone, but I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone. It's a 12 inch, and my zip is 33155. But I also have no idea how to ship it without it getting damaged, was wondering if I can just pay to have you ship a box + the wooden crate or however you guys pack it, since I have no idea how to pack this thing myself.

car is a 02 cadillac deville, 1 15 d1 btl on strapped saz1500ds, subsonic all the way down to like 15, gain at a little lower than half. box is a chambered t line built by rich which i think is in the neighborhood if 30-36 hz tuning. i have a EQ with 8v preouts, HU is a max675vd. i think i need some guidance to set amps before i order a recone or try to replace the lead itself. volume on the hu 27 out 33... but the volume on the EQ is almost all the way up.

I was about to pull the trigger on a Q. Got to the check out page and it says shipping is $53 dollars? Seems a little steep to me. I've got stuff overnight shipping cheaper then that! Is this the normal shipping charges?

Alright, for the last year and a half iv been planning on getting the 10" SSD till recently i found a steal of a deal on craigslist for a 12"Q for 100 bucks duel 1.75 ohm coils Currently i have it in a ported box with 600W RMS running to it at 4 (3.5)ohms. My question is if i run it with both positives and negatives together insted of series and it turns into 1 (.87)Ohms will it be too much being alittle under 1 ohm load? if not then what would be a good amp to push it at 1 ohm 1000 RMS? My plan in the end is to get a sealed encloser with 1000 RMS @ 1 ohm since i like sealed better and getting a 1000RMS 4 ohm amp is expensive as hell.. thanks for helping an taking th…

Hello. I have only recently entered the world of Fi. Before the BL came out, when I was first looking around, there was another line of subwoofers. Are these still available thru Fi or not? If so, what are the specs on them? I did not think to record them before the X disapeared from the site. Thanks for the help! Ben

This past weekend I attended DBDrag World Finals at Dayton Ohio (I only live 45 minutes away) and competed in the 3x event. The event was ran great from the judges and ran smooth from start to finish. I was very happy to see fellow Fi competitors. One was Dr. Boom. For those of you that don't know him, he has 6 15" BTLs walled in a Scion xB off of 6 Sundows 3500s. His install was by far the cleanest there, and his car was a show stopper for sure. I got a demo from him, unfortunately my esophagus started to close up so it got hard to breathe, but boy did those BTLs sound great!! A total of 5 light bulb covers fell from the ceiling, 3 from Dr. Boom himself, the other…

Got my Fi Q 12s from fed-ex today & would like to thank you guys for the Carbon fiber dust cap on my subs that was super cool of you guys to do for me. The wait time is something I hear a lot of people talk about but on my order I found it to be accurate (15 days) & not bad at all. The website is a little slow to show order status but that is no big deal at all because Nick answered any questions that I had when I emailed him. This is my 1st experience with fi & so far I couldn't ask for a better experience Thank you guys so much & you have a happy customer in me now for the next task enclosure building the enclosure in the Kentucky heat & humidity. Th…
