hey, i am curious as to why some people want to recone one size sub with another size, like 18 reconed like a 15. I have seen numerous threads about this and am just very curious as to what this accomplishes in the end. Thanks

Just wondering if i can get a flat dish style dustcap with my 15" RE SE recone. I'm not really into the "boob" style dustcaps as they blow off too much lol. Also what is the power handling with the integrated leads and d2 ohm flatwind coil?

I have a 1992 Mazda extend cab and currently I'm running 6 type R 12's. All sealed. I want to run 2 18's in a ported enclosures. What series should I get? I have been told by Scott I should use the Q's. I'm using 2 Mtx Ta7801's and I'm going to get my 3rd in a couple of months. I only have about 12 to 14cbft to work with. I was wondering should I just get 1 of the Bl's? Run all 3 amps to it?

Doing some counting...we set the limit at 250 for the Q's. Currently have 37 of the BP options left for FREE! Take advantage of it It won't last much longer!

this will be my first time buying fi products. i have a 2004 gmc denali that i want to fill. im pretty much asking what would you choose between the 2? they will be seeing the same amount of power 3000 rms per btl or 1500 per bl plus whatever more my saz-3000 will put out. and yes i do have plenty of electrical to handle these i know the 8 bl's would have alot more cone area but would it be noticeable? what would you choose? any input is appreciated

Hey Guys I have a 03 Yukon Denali that i would like to build a system for. I'm debating on whether four 15 BTL will be better ground pounder then two 18 BTL? I do know that power has one thing to do with it and i will be running two Sundown Audio SAZ-3500D, i will have a big 3, with 2 Alts, and 2-3 Powermaster 3100 and a smaller Powermaster up front. All the subs will be fully loaded, and as far as a box i will have Fisher Customs make a box or Pound that Sound. I am open for all suggesting's to change out any thing or add any thing. Thanks Guys...

hi guys im new to the forum first off, im not a car audio expert, im gonna get a new car soon and im planning on getting new bass on it. listen to mostly rap, hip hop, techno ive heard of JL w6v2 w/ jl 500/1 it sounded great it really hits the low notes. i was planning on getting that setup until i found the Fi Q's, sounds to me they're cheaper and supposely better so i guess im going with the Q's im mainly going for SQ rather than SPL so im going for the 1-12" Q: 1)what amp should i power it with? (i read around the forum i found sundown SAE-1000D, to be honest i never even heard of sundown are they any good? as gay as it sounds i rather go with a mainstream brand such a…

Hey there, I would like some help with dimensions for a box for my SP4 18 subwoofer. The SP4 18 will be powered by a crescendo 3500D. I only have very limited space inside my trunk, but I want a ported box in every case and I want it tuned to 34 Hz. The maximum dimensions are: Width: 86 centimeters Depth: 47 centimeters Height: 65cm (I want to stay at max of 60 centimeters if possible) greetings

  16. I have a crew cab titan, and with using glass/wood I can get around 2.5ft^3 or two 1.24ft^3 boxes... sealed would be easiest... but the subs would cost more... and I love the sound of ported boxes ... but it would likely go lower and higher and have just generally better sq... 2 BL 10"s ported... would be nice but I don't know exactly how much space I'd have after sub/port displacment and if the internal shape of the box would affect the performance alot to where it's as bad as a sealed box... I'm on the wall here and can't figure which way to go.. I suppose I could do the BL's 1st since it would be cheaper lol... and if I wasn't happy do the Qs later.. but if I weren'…

  18. Hi all, I have built two 120 L cabinets two drivers per box in a dual opposed configuration (drivers facing out) I have been told that the std Qts drivers can sound peaky ? Can someone explains to me the term PEAKY. I have four Fi Q 15" first two orderd was dual 1 ohm but the second set I orderd later was dual 2 ohm so I will be having these changed back to dual 1 ohm as this suits my inuke amps. So it it worth having all my drivers changed to High Qts or is there not much difference between them ?? Thanks for any input

in case my subs dont sell, im wondering what a recone costs. the purpose of reconing 1 month old subs is simple...trying to make them dual 2 ohm instead of dual 1 ohm and want to see if it would be cheaper to buy the kits instead of selling my bl's and rebuying another set thats dual 2 ohms. two zip codes 91941 and 91730. if i could get a quote on a 18" dual 2 ohm bl recone kit i would appreciate it. oh btw, you can recone to a dual 2 from a dual 1 right? they dont have different dimension that wont fit do they?

Im In The Process Of Building New Box For My 87 Mustang. It Will Be For 2 BTLS's Around 8 Cubes Net. The Anticipation Was Killing Me So I just Went Ahead And Threw My Old Box Where The Passanger Seat Was to see how it performed on my SAZ-3000D At first i was amazed. Then about after 15 min. of Slamming it it wasnt as loud anymore and the BTL wasnt Able To Handle the Amp Half Way (Gain All Way Down) It was Already Reaching Its Limits And Bottoming Out. so i was pretty bumed as it sounded the same if not less than 2 memphis 12" subs. so i was looking making sure all the connections were tight and secure, and i decided to take my DMM and meassure the Voltage off the battery…

We have the BTL N2 subs up on the site for sale with specs. As mentioned there will be about a 4 week lead time on the first orders of BTLs. This is due to waiting for the balance of steel and heatsinks to arrive. N1 will be up late tonight. Thanks, Scott

Will be going into a 03 Civic sedan, and powered by a Ultimate T3-1000D (around 2000W RMS). 15" BL would have cooling, flatwind, and enclosure would be the following: 3.1 ft^3, 33hz, 43.5 in^2 of port 12" BTL would have cooling, HiXmCoil, and enclosure would be the following: 2.5 ft^3, 33hz, 37 in^2 of port I am wondering if the HiXmCoil would make up for the loss of surface area going from a 15 to a 12? Should I squeeze the 15 into a smaller box or give the 12 lots of room to breathe? I want to move as much air as possible but in a daily driver situation. Thanks in advance for responses and suggestions!
