Friends A few months ago i purchased a Sundown Amp SAE 1200D and a FIQ 12 Dual 2 Ohms. I need help in determing the massive cause of my voltage drop inmy 2006 SRT8 with a Batcap 400 and a BatCap 800. I not sure if my system is hooke dup in 1 ohm impedance or 2 ohm imedance. I know there are many experts here that can help me in just a few seconds. Attach is a picture of my amp and I have annotated where the wires are hooked up. I just need help in determining is the amp wires are in the correct locations. i entered my first ever bass race comp with my new system. loaded 15" BTL on an MA Audio hk4000d in a 4 cubes box tuned to 34hz playing "air forces". i qualified with a 139.8 in the 130-139.9 class. i went over the 140 mark and hit 141 for a bit, but had to drop it down to avoid getting put in the 140 class. however, i got eliminated in the first round by someone with a lot more experience, i only lost by .2 db's because i was at 139.9 with a few seconds left and had to drop it down fast so not to break over the 140 mark and risk getting DQ'd. i ended with a 139.6. sad thing is that i had the guy beat the entire time until the last few seconds. there is another comp comi…

Hi guys I was wondering if any of you have any tips for buying a H/O alternator? Currently I'm thinking of purchasing an Iraggi 260 amp dominator series alternator for my '03 Chevy Tahoe to power my 18" BL. The BL is being ran off of a kicker 1200.1 with kinetik hc 1400. Will the 260 amp H/O alt be enough for my BL?

Ok So I ordered my SSD 3 weeks ago through Paypal with my credit card and my bank account was deducted the second I finished the transaction.... but, Paypal is still "carrying out the payment" How long does this usually take and if this is normal then Paypal is a pretty shitty company imo because there's really no reason it should take them that long to make this happen!! We got my box finished up at 3 A.M. this morning. I didn't build it myself, but paid an installer who has did work for me before. The box is right at 8ft^3 and tuned to 33hz with 120^2 inches of port area. All i currently have is a Kenwood amp that puts out 900 watts to push the subs. THe subs have the copper coil option and I was defintely expecting them to be louder and lower than my previous 15" L7 ran off the same amp. Well, they exceeded my expectations! My installer rents out a shop from a car dealership. Once we got the box in my Blazer, i immeditately put it on Young Jeezy - Hypnotize to see just how low these suckers could go. I am getting an enclosure built this coming friday. I was wondering what the optimal enclosure size would be. I want it tuned to 32hz after displacement. Should it be double baffled on the face? I plan on going with a hatchback style box (sub up port back toward trunk). I was offered the option of "milkshaking" the box (resin mixture inside to seal better), it is 50 dollars more for that, so I figure I don't really need it. The Sub: Fi Bl 15" Fully Loaded. Amp: saz 1500d. my trunk measures: 15hx33dx36w I measured height from the trunk bars, so if it can fit between it would be roughly 3-4 inches higher.

kinda new to FI and this forum. I have a 99 mustang want to do one 15 in the trunk in a 5.5 cf box. i have a audiobahn a1500hct rated at 2000 watts @ 1ohm. my question is can a fully loaded bl handle this or should i get stock btl? i won't be competing in spl comps jus want something to beat on every now and again. btw i will be replacing alt with a 220 amp alt and yellow top under the hood. any advice would be good.

I was wanting to know some information on warranties, today i was listening to my 15 and in made a horrible sound and I shut it off instantly and I took it out of the box to look at it because I tried to push on the sub a little bit to see if there was any movement and there wasnt but I can push it from the back and it moved up, but the i noticed the magnet has cracked twice around the magnet and in between the two cracks had shifted to one side sticking out further than the rest of the magnet. any advice would be appreciated.

I just received my Fi/SX 12 hybrid in the mail. It looks awesome and ill be sure to get some pics up and a video soon. How long do you suggest i play it low before i turn it up? I have the gain about 1/2 way up right now. Just wondering how long before I can cut loose on this bad boy.

Hey Scott/Nick, I ordered a sub awhile back and you guys were pretty gracious in helping me out. Now I have another question, does shipping to Canada usually take longer then expected? Ya'll emailed me that my BuzzLightyear shipped on Nov 16 with 6-10 days wait. It's been a lil longer then that. Hey guys, I made a post about a problem with my fully loaded bl. Its just not as loud as it once was and Im still having problems but ive ruled out about everything and rewired everything. Now im thinking its my amp that is the problem. Is there a way to tell if your amp isn't working properly? I can't figure out how to tell i took off the faceplate and didnt see anything and it still turns on just fine. My only concern is i backed into a truck and so my trunk is slightly bent up a little bit making the seal not very affective causing my amp to get frost on it when i put my back seat up at night. Is there any way to really be able to tell if my amp is having a problem? Im…

hey guys i know this is a spl sub, but alot of you folks do use them for daily drivers..how do you like them? i really want to try a few but im worried that they wont sound right..and by that i mean im comming listening to w7's for 6 years..and i know after that many years on 1 sub your ears get accustomed to them..so are the btl's something i listen to all kinds of music like rap and rock daily and still enjoy or am i barking up the wrong tree and should maybe look at bl's? also i have a side question, say you have a 12'' spl sub and a 18'' of the same spl sub, would the 12 sound better and be tighter cause its smaller or no truth to that?

Hello everyone, im new to Fi and have decided to try out one of their drivers, however i need some help. I just recently ordered a 12 BL D2 w/ cooling on the 18th and went down to a local shop where im getting the box made eventually and showed the guy the BL's specs which i had written down so he could get an idea of what he would be building. He took a look at the driver's FS of 37.8hz and thought i was crazy for getting a sub with such a high FS...saying it would suffer in lower frequencies. So i starting thinking perhaps i should of got a Q instead of a BL. Ive got a Nine.1 @ 1200 rms to throw at it for Daily Driving...not SPL comp/burping, etc, just a street beater …

I was wondering what happened to Sean from FI. I placed my order with him a little over 2 weeks ago(supposedly straight through him on what he told me was his personal cell phone number) anyways i've been calling him just about everyday since because I wanted to change the color of the logo on the dustcaps but I am unable to get a hold of him. Also he hasnt even taken the money out of my bank account for the order yet. I'm local to them so I was told I would be able to pick them up(really doesnt have anything to o with my issue)but he doesnt answer any of my calls. im curious on how long does it takes to recieve a recone kit? its been 3-4 weeks already and i still have no recieved my recone. The other day I whiped together a box for my Q10, 14x14x12, 3/4in mdf, comes out to around .9 cubes. I screwed up on one of the cuts so i just siliconed the chit out of it. So i have it in my truck now, pushed by 900 kenwood watts rms and there is a clicking noise coming from the sub. Not so noticeable on the lower notes or in rock songs, but it really makes me mad. I pushed on the sub, no scratchy sound, i put the coils on a DMM, both at .8 ohms. WTF! I also tried it free air a little and the noise is louder let. I read on another forum to check my spider for rub marks from tensel slap, and i couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Am i doing something wrong?

im going to build my box today for my Fi BL 15" and i looked onlinw of what to use and it says to use Panhead sheet metal screws? shouldnt i use wood screws or are those wood screws?? and it also says to use drywall screws? why use drywall screws? whats the diffrence? and where do they go?
