General Fi

Friend of mind is looking hard at ordering a single 12" Q (dual 2 ohm) and running them on Leviathan in a sealed enclosure. He wants to run channel 5 & 6 on the Zed at 2 ohm giving the Q 500watts. Should he order any of the options (apart from high qts) or will just a plain Fi Q be enough? He's running a set of MLK's up front in his 2007 Caddy CTS Suggestions? Thanks

Hey guys, I had sent an email awhile back concerning a recone kit for a 12" RE SX (D2) - I'd seen that you had been able to send kits out earlier, and was wondering if you can still do it (and if so, at what price?)... im not sure if my sub is in need for a recone or not, but there was smoke and the dreaded smell. The weird thing is the coils measure at 1.7 ohms on one side and 1.5 on the other. I looked at em and they seem to be a lil burnt. The sub still plays but its not as loud as it was and theres distortion on certain low and higher-mid notes. Iv not yet gotten to finish upgrading my electrical, been waiting on batteries, then gotta order a ho alt. Big 3 is done tho. amp is a Powerbass Xa-3000D "internals still look new" Knu 1/0 wiring gains were set all the way down most of the time, then at 1/4 and last at half. I was wanting to know some information on warranties, today i was listening to my 15 and in made a horrible sound and I shut it off instantly and I took it out of the box to look at it because I tried to push on the sub a little bit to see if there was any movement and there wasnt but I can push it from the back and it moved up, but the i noticed the magnet has cracked twice around the magnet and in between the two cracks had shifted to one side sticking out further than the rest of the magnet. any advice would be appreciated.

So I've emailed all three emails at Fi, and I can't message Nick so hoping to get a response here. I know I'm a broken record about this but ... I was reading some of your production process. It said the day after the order I should have gotten a UPS Tracking number. I ordered my recone march 5th. I emailed [email protected] a couple times after the initial time I was told of 12 to 15 business, being as its now April 1st, and I have got no tracking number, no email replies, and no recone. i didnt know that Fi and Ascendant Audio were even related comapnies... what are the differences in the drivers you designed for each company and why both?? also which came first? i find it very interesting that i just now found this out, when ever since i got big into car audio, Fi has been my favorite company by far.

I have a 12 inch 04 model re xxx and need a recone for it. i want to make it into a 15 inch sub though. i will need a basket for it to. the amp being used does 1600 watts at 4 ohms. how much will a recone and basket cost? thanks

i didnt realize when i orderd my sub that if you have a dual voice coil sub that you cant wire it to be 1ohm , it will be higher or lower. i did get the universal option so i guess i can send it back and get it redone. how much does this cost to do. and does anyone from fi know if i would be able to maybe just send it back and get a replacement for a fee or somthing. thanks guys. kevin

im curious on how long does it takes to recieve a recone kit? its been 3-4 weeks already and i still have no recieved my recone. They sent me the Recone glue, and Decals i ordered, but how much longer for the recone? im Travis Jones, maybe someone can chime in and let me know whats taking long? Thanks Guys!

I sent my subs out to get reconed by Fi. I bought the 2 reconing kits and what not but my question is do i have to pay for the sub to get returned to me or did they add that into the price. I did select the option to send my sub in.

This is my basic wiring diagram for my pair of D2 10" Q's. I have a dual chamber box w/t .60 cuft in each chamber. Since the terminals are on the left and right side of the subs and I have to connect the subs in both chambers (run wires thru commom middle wall and seal with silicone).............I was wondering is it OK to let the wires just hang free in the box or maybe secure them so they don't just flop around???? I noticed there are little tabs on the baskets, both on the top and bottom. Would it be alright to zip strip the +/- DVC connecting wire that will go over the top of the subs basket to that tab? Or should I just let it free hang?????? Just want to do it righ…

i just recently bought a bl 12 dual 2ohm with cooling added, and was wondering what the actual rms handling is? i've seen plenty of videos and read plenty of posts making the 1000wrms handling very unbelievable. it seems to me they can handle MUCH more, even without the cooling option added.

Hi guys I was wondering if any of you have any tips for buying a H/O alternator? Currently I'm thinking of purchasing an Iraggi 260 amp dominator series alternator for my '03 Chevy Tahoe to power my 18" BL. The BL is being ran off of a kicker 1200.1 with kinetik hc 1400. Will the 260 amp H/O alt be enough for my BL?

I have been curious as to the Fi product and have always wanted to hear and see 3 12's across the rear seat opening of my mazda 3 06 there is enough room and the boxes are built. you build it they will come. I am not happy with my box size but well in range at 1.1 ish after displacement each, there are 3 seperate boxes it was the only way to get in. Friends A few months ago i purchased a Sundown Amp SAE 1200D and a FIQ 12 Dual 2 Ohms. I need help in determing the massive cause of my voltage drop inmy 2006 SRT8 with a Batcap 400 and a BatCap 800. I not sure if my system is hooke dup in 1 ohm impedance or 2 ohm imedance. I know there are many experts here that can help me in just a few seconds. Attach is a picture of my amp and I have annotated where the wires are hooked up. I just need help in determining is the amp wires are in the correct locations.
