Purchased an fi btl sub off craigslist. long story short, the previous guy who owned it did a VERY bad recone job and the tinsel leads that go into the spider were shot and the wire that goes into the cone is too short and when the sub excursions, it simply rips out of the tinsel. I'm going to order a new recone kit but i cant figure out if theres a difference with the btl/n2/n3 and which model this is.. I deleted the guys number because I was so pissed at him that he would sell me something fked up. if anyone can help me figure out what it is or if theres anyway to tell please let me know asap!

Okay so I'm pretty new to Fi, but maybe this can be stickied. I figure if everyone posts when there order ships out and what order number they had, the rest of us can get an idea of the amount of time we still have to wait. I may not tell us how many days but can tell us if it'll be a month or two. Just an idea here, so if you support it, post a reply with your info. I misunderstood what the I heat ring option does when I placed my order, and chose not to get it. I mainly listen to metal, so transient response is very important to me, so I'd really like to have that option. I've already emailed sales about it, but I don't expect a response any time soon (because it's 3 o'clock in the friggin' morning). So if it's too late for them to do anything about it, I'd just like to know how much I'm missing out on. How big of a difference does the I heat ring make? By the way, my order is number #2676. I ordered on the 31st of August, but it didn't switch to "awaiting fulfillment" until the 11th.

so this message is to any Fi Car Audio worker so you guys had emailed me stating that it will take another month for my Fi SSD 12 will be sent to me... is there parts missing or is there just a delay in the system and will it really take another month

So I ordered a Dual 1 ohm Fi SSD on July 10th, but I actually need a Dual 2 ohm - Is it possible to change the order at this late date? Is there anything I can do? Really wish Fi had a phone number so I could contact them immediately! Feels like I just threw $300 down the drain, I can't believe it! Please help!

Got my Fi Q 12s from fed-ex today & would like to thank you guys for the Carbon fiber dust cap on my subs that was super cool of you guys to do for me. The wait time is something I hear a lot of people talk about but on my order I found it to be accurate (15 days) & not bad at all. Hey guys, I've got a 1200w Diamond Audio amp to work with, and was wondering what would sound best at that wattage - the Fi SSD or the Fi Q? Thanks!

My pre-09 SSD motors have "custom sealed" written on the top of the motor. Does this mean they have the high qts option? They are also copper coils. Any input?

I ordered an SSD recone yesterday and there is no option for integrated leads on the site. I added in the special instructions that I want them. Can you please include integrated leads and charge me for them?

Simple question: Did the first generation Fi speakers (specifically the Q model) have sewn in leads?

18" SP4 mounting depth- 11.75" What is the diameter of the motor with rubber boot? What is the height of the motor from the bottom to the top where the basket attaches? What is the height from the floor to when you reach the bottom of the push terminals? How long are the push terminals? And finally- what is the height from the back of the mounting ring to the top of the motor? I need these measurements so i can begin drawing out the next massive build to fit properly.

How can I tell the difference between a regular sp4 and one that is fully loaded?

im curious as to how the back end functions at Fi. do orders come in, get qued, and built one at a time or batch jobs? are orders saved up until there is sufficient quantity to make it efficient for construction to begin or is it just on the fly?

I ordered my ssd 18 on the 18th of march. Revieved it today. april 18th. And when I opened my box the sub was sitting sideways. I have read forums on here about peoples subs arriving messed up and fi not fixing it so I decided to take pictures for proof. Will fi fix this or am I just screwed? I have a feeling its revenge for me complaining about build time. I have pictures on my computer, I just don't know how to put them on here, could anyone help me?

I am trying to run 2 fi ssd's in my truck at 2 ohms... i would like to find an amp that is 2000 rms at 2 ohms... would like something cheap working on a budget here.. any suggestions?

I order a Q 12 from fi on the 17th of April. It been over 33 business day since I ordered my sub. Then FedEx sent me a shipment email saying that it would arrive on the 24th of April. I knew that was not correct. So I wait until June 12 before I emailed agin. No reply till last Thursday. When I got the email the said it said sub was being shipped and that FedEx would be sending me a tracking number? So I email them Friday asking about my tracking number and still no reply. I just want to know where my sub is.

I went outside this morning to work on my alternator that has been giving me problems and when the garage door opened up the was a fedex guy digging through his truck. Since he was on the other side of the road I just didn't think anything of it. When he dug out a box, struggled to pick it up and then started walking to my house I freaked out. Without any shipping info or warning at all my BL 15 came in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!! I am order #1624 ordered on April 2nd and got my sub in perfect condition today April 26th. Don't even have a box made... Thought it would take a lot longer to get it here.
