All I have to do is dodge the wifes eyes when she looks at me and says... What did you Buy Now!! hehe. Im a bit of an audio freak, I started with my home system and have now moved out to the car (at least its not the dog house) I explained to her its just a love of music/audio... like she loves gardening and plants. Cuz shes always like why? I suggest I dont really get the plant thing but I know you love it.. so. Ok.. I guess I didnt need the story, but Ill take some photos and do the install when I get home! I'm currently running an eD SQ10 in a tiny sealed stealth enclosure (see this thread in the eD forums for pictures) in the rear hatch of my Scion xA. It sounds ok but I'm looking for something a bit louder and lower. I'm considering replacing the hatch floor with 3/4" MDF and going with a 12" IB3 I should have just enough clearance for it. But, I've searched the forums and haven't seen any mention of the IB3. I'd probably pick up the SVC 2ohm version and put about 500 watts to it from a bridged Boston GT-22. Right now I have 2 15" Fully loaded Fi BTL's old triple stack magnets. One needs a recone. They are daily versions as well. How do I know if I need to get the flat wind coil or the xmax coil? Assuming I need to get the same as my other one I dont know what it is cause I got it used. Would fully loaded mean mine have the xmax coil? Thanks!

The previous BL weight was about 34pds IIRC... How much weight are they up to now with the new driver for the 15inch?

I am due to receive my ups delivery of my 12" Fi Q's tomorrow and i cant wait. i am so impatient. i want some advice on how to properly break these subs in because i have never learned the proper way. with any other subs i had i just installed them correctly (properly set gains and what not) and then proceded to see what the can do. i have been addicted to car audio for some time now but i am always learning something new. any opinions/advice will be greatly appriciated. running a Rockford fosgate 2000.1 amp if anyone is wondering.

Like the title says, one of the magnets on my 12" Fi Q split in half. Don't know how, but I noticed the woofer was making strange noises a week or so ago, and took it out to investigate. I heard that this wasn't exactly a unique case, as other Fi products seem to have split magnets as well, possibly UPS is dropping them? At any rate, who do I contact for help? I have emailed Fi with no response. Is there anyone on the forum that could help speed this up? The sub is still covered under warranty, if this issue is covered under warranty...

Ok it's time to start thinking about my crappy alternator and electrical. I'll start out by asking if anybody in here has a 2003 Nissan Maxima and if they have a HO alt. or one with upgraded electrical stuff? I've found a couple for reasonable prices but the sites are somewhat iffy. I was hoping to get away with just doing the big 3, adding a battery, replacing the battery under the hood, and buying a capacitor. The alt. I have now puts out 100-125 amps from what I've seen and I also believe it's the original one that's in my car. What do you guys think? Should I definately upgrade the alternator? Or go with my other choices and try to avoid the alty. part? I als…

Sup guys this is just another thread on my box problem that has been solved finally. Most of you guys probably saw it before since there isn't a crazy amount of new threads everyday. I had my 12" dual 1 ohm Q reconed right before i sold my old car, and have decided against putting a system in my new car as i have a baby due in 8 weeks and need the trunk space. so it hasn't been used at all since the recone. what do u guys think i should sell it for? thanks anthony

I was going to try something new for Scrapin the Coast this year and represent Fi Audio but it looks as if I will not be doing so because I havent recieved my sub. Well im getting the 2ohm Fi 18 BL and i found an amp that has 2ohm 1000wattrms with 2000W MAX,,,,,,other amps with a max of 1000W have a 2ohm 500w RMS,,,,,,,what do i need for my subwoofer 1000W RMS i guess??? Can someone tell me whats the difference betwee 4ohm,2 ohm,and 1 ohm,and what do they do???

D2, wired to 1 ohm. -Sundown 1500D -8cu ft. box tuned to 32hz. -KNU 1/0 amp wiring kit. -RCA's, etc all form knu -12 gauge speaker wire from KNU Too start of this is just a quick run through to make sure everything is right. Well recently, I have just purchased a 12" CVX that came in a prefab Kicker enclosure. It was powered off a Kicker ZX 750.1(which seems to be the only decent Kicker purchase I made). I assume with the amp being underrated, and therefore overpowering the CVX caused it to blow. Well now, I'M GOING FI BEEZYS, sorry for the anticipation, but now anyway I would like to power my new setup with the same amp, the Kicker ZX750.1 and replace the sub with a NEW FI SSD 12". Temporarily I will, use the same box.... I know to some extent either the enclosure could make or break the sub hopefully, the prefab kicker box won't make the FI sound like shit. Opinions? A simple question, maybe not a simple answer though. I am looking to (maybe) invert my 15" BTL when I get it. The whole reason why I want to do this is to give the woofer as much air as it wanted and to use the trunk as the entire box. Saving room would be a plus but isn't really needed. I know some subs simply cant be mounted this way. The more I think of it the more I actually think the BTL may not be able to.
